After a lengthy search the day before we resorted to contacting the previous finder as to where they found the cache. So with the hint we headed over to find the cache with Cantcacheus2014. Found the cache easily. TFTAC TFTC
Back today for a second look with GT54 and found for a smile. Thank you for leaving this here to find. Tftc
Team Benders was playing tour guide today and took me to this cache which has been sitting idle for almost a year and a half now.
When we arrived at GZ, we saw that a fence had been erected for revegetation but we were able to walk along it until we came to the cache. Even so, I was worried that it would not be here any more as there didn't appear to be much vegetation at all.
I was surprised therefore when Team Benders tapped on something with her walking pole and it rang hollowly like a tin. Sure enough, it was an ammo tin. A very empty, lonely ammo tin.
I signed the log and reapplied the camo.

I had a last minute adventure planned with NeverLostAu in this neck of the woods and started looking at all my caches that I would like to find out here. Archives are a love for me, so I added this one onto my very short list. We thankfully, parked up close to the cache location, it was hot, hot, hot today, less walking more finding
We hunted about for quite sometime and the NLAU spotted the biggest python I have ever seen Thankfully, Jelly the Wonderdog was sniffing in other places and we quickly distracted her from the beautiful slithery beasty. With Jelly well restrained and sniffing out caches with me, I finally managed to spy the container. Woohoo! Found We left our marks and then replaced the cache as it had been found.
Thanks for the cache The Balds

This one was a surprise to me because I had not looked at my archived list, but Nyssa knew that it was available and wanted to track it down. We parked as close as possible on this hot day and headed in. Jelly was exploring while we searched and searched. I was looking at the dead palm trees when suddenly I spotted a huge carpet python just a couple of metres in front of me. I don't mind snakes but it does give you a start when you almost stand on one! Luckily Nyssa was able to distract Jelly as we resumed our searching elsewhere.
Eventually Nyssa found it right where I had already had a (man-) look. Thanks for bringing me here Nyssa and thanks for the original placement The Balds.

After two visits to the place, I finally found what I was looking for.
We parked nearby and made the walk in.
Softball/baseball was on in the nearby fields but far enough away from us.
After a quick search I found what I was looking for.
Added our name to the list which the last finders had left in the cache.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks The Balds All good with this archived cache

I am not quite sure how, or why I have gained an interest in the caches that are Archived, but I have and this here has come as a result of such an interest. I had a suspicion that the container would still be in place after reading some of the lasts logs, and had figured I would put it on the to do list for when I am in the area.
Well today was that day and I was meeting with Whird to take a look at some potential hide locations nearby only had got the paths mixed up a little. Anyway we went to take a look for him to make a new hide. Then we moved the cars and went for the wander into this spot.
Remembering the words from the finder who rehid the container after it was muggled I walked stright up to it today. First thing I touch gave the familiar hollowing ring of an Ammo Tin.
Unfortunately as previously mentioned the contents was mostly gone, however there was still one Remanent that remained, was the caching card of Ksix, which I have added a photo of, and the tin is still in pretty good condition considering the time it has been here, just a little stiff to open.
TFTC nice to make a find on a cache that has not been visited in 6 and a half years.

Out with OrionJ we found this cache after 6.5 years, added a new log and put back in place for maybe some more finds down the track.

No response from owner. If you wish to repair/replace the cache [red]in the next couple of months[/red], just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
Not found for 18 months, the owner has not responded to repeated needs maintenance logs. Time for this one to go.
found the place the cache should be but no cache to be found. i searched right around GZ but still no luck.
We went to the co-ord's and looked within 5 metres of the spot in every direction, we found the garbage bag but we didn't find the army ammo box. I am lead to believe muggles have taken it.
This was actually logged on the 10th on January 2009, but accidentally put 9th.

Find 35 of 51 on a big day of caching with Kholometers. We found it, or at least an empty ammo case. The cache has been well and truly muggled. To prevent a muggle from stealing the case, we placed it behind grass right up against the fence for the train line. If you walk from the black tree towards the fence the case is near the fence pole.
I suggest that this one be disabled until the cache is replaced/restocked.

The guy in the office next to me at work is the president (or immediate past president) of this club. I walked from the car park. The pluvers got really upset and had a few fly-bys so I ran into the bush. safe for now. They kept their distance as I returned. TFTC
Didn't realise this was such a noisy sport!! Once I got on the right side of the water (by the most adventurous route I could find - over the culvert clinging to the rail fence - I don't like getting my feet wet!!) this was a pleasant walk and an easy find. Thanks for the hunt The Balds - SVN07
I was thinking this was something to do with fish on the way in.
Then I saw the base plates. No chips either.
Clear skies Balds from TeamAstro (not yet alopeciated)
First I went to the wrong side of the railway, then the wrong side of the water, and finally the correct area for a lovely little walk. After a little bit of looking around found the ammo box all safe and sound and dry and in good condition. TFTC
With some help from Everlasting, had no problem of finding it. Lovely walk around the sportfield.
Hey great place, it was our first find.
The kids had a ball finding it. Looking for more.

4th of 9 finds for team Ksix this morning. As usual for us we ALWAYS take the hardest route possible to find a cache. Tried walking in along the railway tracks but that proved impossible. Eventually worked our way over to the soft ball fields and strolled right up to it !!! Grabbed the Dublin Dragster TB and a small toy car for the geokids, left a talking Shrek toy. TFTC
I'm with weroamin ... those lovely (if not scary) Golden Orbs were everywhere! Tiki 3 waited on the outside, lest he come too close to one and we not hear the end of it! Found well though. Tiki 3 was also intrigued by the game of Softball happening nearby ... might need to explore future extra-curricular activities like this later on! Left Dublin Dragster TB. TFTC.
In company with THE GREEN GECKO I reckon the terrain and difficulty could be swapped with (Tarradarrapin - A cache by happyharries) Except for those hugely big golden orb 'scarey' spiders, this was relatively easy. TFTC TNLN
This is the first ammo box I've ever found, so I was excited. It took me as long to open the box as it took to find the cache LOL!!
In: Purple plastic star shaped man
Out: screwdriver
Cache in good condition, but a pencil is needed in the with the notebook. Lots of room left in the cache for some bigger goodies.

Very quiet around her today but I am sure it would be busy on weekends. Took Spitfire TB abd signed log. Thankyou to The Balds for the cache.
Used to play here ... this place has changed since I was last here. The state team is now based here, and facilities have been upgraded! Wow, green grass!!!! Left TB. TFTC

Wow...dont those bats make a noise when they connect!!
There were some great hitters out there today.
Cache is dry and in good condition. Nice easy find.
Thanks
Took a hit and made the run for the cache. The tiny patch of green around the bases looks strange against the brown parklands. TFTC
I must have stepped on this a thousand time before I found it.

No matches on today in any shape or form so very quiet straight to the cache. Sorry didn't see a Travel bug but left Silly Bag TB to continue on his Journey.
Don't try this from the wrong side of the railway; it doesn't work. Nice sporting facility when you do approach from the right side. TFTC TNLN
This place was certainly full of battered muggles on a Sunday afternoon. Found the cache with relative ease. TNLNSL.
Found by caughtatwork at 3:10
Maybe Sunday wasn't the best day to do this cache as there were people battering up everywhere.
Nevertheless the cache location itself was quite hidden from view and we were abole to find it and make our log without anyone seeing us.
Unfrotunately the cache contents have been somewhat depleted so there was nothing really to swap.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks again to The Balds for this nice sized cache.

Found in the afternoon, our 19mo daughter had a good time watching the kids practice here. We were surpised by the number of fields here. TFTC!
Took nothing, but our daughter felt sorry for the cache and left a Puppy Dog picked up earlier in the day.

Well, I needed a baseball type cache and this was as good as I could find. I left a Matsuzaka mini-me TB. He's a popular Japanese player and being a baseball nut myself, wanted him to be in familiar surroundings.
Mrs Lat&Long and I had an easy time finding this one because of the public holiday in Brisbane, all the Redland muggles were working.
Signed the log and wandered off to investigate more of the area.

Great hide - would be overflowing with muggles some days I can imagine!! Took stuff and left stuff (wrote it all in the onsite log) must not have recorded it on my hard copy - sorry - oh took london bus travel bug.
Nice easy find on the way past this afternoon..
Logged as placing two cars and taking nothing... but just found the two cars in my jacket pocket!...will try and drop them of as soon as i can

Wow! This certainly was a popular spot today - I didn't know that this many people played! We negotiated our way around the games and snuck in the bushes out the back. One of the kids found the cache after a very short search 11:45am - spot-on co-ordinates!
We took out a car and the Raphael travel bug and put in Crabby travel bug and cube. TFTC!

I ride past here often but have never noticed the area was so big. There is a track leading off to the north from the cache which begged me to explore further after I found the cache TFTC.
No calls of "batter up" today so it was an easy walk and an easy find. Moved my new TB "Raphael" The Ninja Turtle in to get him moving. Thanks kids for a great location and a great cache.
