Gallery of log for Hello Hello What have We got Here
Was visiting Collie in WA and came across this one which is now a gallery. No history signs around it though to say when it was abandoned etc. The new one is about 2 blocks away directly behind the motel I was in. A bit of googling came up with the following...
The Old Police Station was thought to have been built in 1899, by W.C Rose. 1900 the stables were built, and in 1908 the Constables quaters were built. (The stables and the Constable Quaters have since been demolished).
The Collie Art Group took over the building in 1971.
You can still view the cells where the prisoners were kept and the small exercise yard, (which now has a roof over it).
