Given the number of trips we have had on the Bass Strait ferries, we were really surprised that we had not seen either the Front or the Rear lighthouses. This cache gave us the opportunity to visit and learn a little about how these two lighthouses worked together to guide ships up the channel to dock in Melbourne.
