Gallery of log for Concrete Bits & Bobs
Mining Museum, Cracow, QLD
Cracow is referred to as a ghost town & most interesting to visit. I saw this unusual concreted display beside the road so took a few photos. The Cracow Gold`Mine which saw the formation of the town has been reopened & the display is sponsored by the mining company. It represents the three historical phases of drilling holes for explosives. A mining machine (Machine & airleg) has been donated, covered in chicken wire, reinforced & sprayed with concrete by Freddie Dodd, a shotcreter, using a Piccola shotcreting machine donated by BASF Australia.
