Sheba is our 13 year old German Sheppard. She suffers with arthritis, and as we approach the colder weather, we again wonder again if she will make it through winter.

Previously she has been more Greg's dog, but has taken to following me everywhere, won't go to bed until I do and even follows me into the bathroom (like having a toddler again).

This year has been different for her. Normally a town and indoor dog, we have isolated ourselves out in the shed on a farm. Her mobility has improved (thank goodness for medication) and she chases the steer across the paddock every time he comes near the shed.

This picture was taken after I had returned from town. I had gone overnight in this car. After we had done some jobs around the farm, she parked herself in the front seat of the car and would not get out. It was like she was saying "you are not going in this car again without me!"

Gotta love our dogs (the only pets we have had). It will be sad when she is gone, and we won't get another as we want to travel both overseas and join the grey nomads and travel Australia.
