Description
Some of us have pets.
Whats Yours .
Our pet is a Schkipperke it is a dog - for those that don't know it is Beligian for Little Capitan. They were bred as barge dogs to get rats on the belgian barges.
Tazz is our little man - he is getting on and has some issues. He is a diabetic and has two insulin injections every day. He has cataracts and one lens turned and bled out into his eye as a result he only has one eye now.
The other eye is almost useless so effectively he is blind, but still wanders around the garden.
He also has a collapsed trachea so if he gets excited then he hacks a bit.
He is about 13 and we just want to give him a good quality of life, so what ewver Tazz wants Tazz gets.
To log this cache you must have a live , pet and supply a photo and a story is an option.
Congrats to Gullivers Travels54 for FTF

Armchair style Locationless caches where the finder is not required to explore the real world, identify a location and accompany the "Find" with photographic evidence are no longer accepted.
A Locationless cache listing must require the finder to locate an object or perform a task in the real world, collect the co-ordinates and log the find with accompanying photographic evidence.
The geocaching community would like to thank you for listing this Locationess geocache and congratulations to all that found this locationless geocache.
As the geocache no longer meets the requirements we will archive the cache listing.
This is Pablo my geodaughters pet budgie.
I thought she was creative naming him after the painter Picasso.

cattle and goats.
When we started heading north for the winter 10 years ago we adopted a 'non replacement' policy to make leaving easier.
But our son bought a husky and then bred her and we ended up with 7 dogs. All but one were eventually sold (I would have kept them all) so the non replacement policy went out the window.
Skye is now 6 and Maxx 4 so I guess we'll have dogs for a few more years yet.
Our son moved out a couple of years ago but the dogs stayed. He usually takes them of a weekend but wē have them during the week. This is because he works long hours and has a young family and being a working dog they need lots of exercise , so it's easier for us to have them the bulk of the time as wē are retired and can give them the work they need.
They are not a breed you would want if you don't have lots of time. They are diggers and shed twice a year - for six months in winter and six months in summer!!
They are also very hunt orientated, being closely related to wolves.
But we wouldn't part with them for the world.
Thanks.
Let me introduce Tiger
Loved taking him for a walk and he loved it too
Unfortunately, he has gone to that happy pound in the sky
But we loved him while he was with us
TFTC and cheers

She's a human in her mind not a dog.
We did have a cat for many years but he died, a few years back aged 22 and is still sadly missed. We chose not to get another cat due to our travelling.
My daughter could dance with her and play hide and seek but not many other people can pick her up.

Thsnks for the cache Grumbligrot.
Photo here is with cousin Harry the border collie who visits from time to time while his people are away.
Thankyou for allow us to feature Echo who comes on geocaching adventures but can be a bit eager on the lead, especially when there are native animals (kangaroos) about.
Cheers

Boots was once a happy and energetic Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel. He became like a very grumpy old man in the last year, snapping at little things and always needing to go to the vet. He cost me over $1000 in one one month last year, so it's no wonder I've been homeless for the last few months. hahaha He was good company sleeping in the car with me even if he was grumpy. I believe he had some kind of healing power. One time a daughter came home so drunk she kept stopping breathing. I had to sit beside her and shake her to keep it going. Boots kept pacing back and forth trying to get on her bed. I refused to let him. Eventually I gave in. He jumped up beside her, lay a paw on her leg, and started whimpering. She immediately started breathing freely and I eventually fell asleep. Another instance another daughter was in a similar state and kept moaning. Same thing happened with the dog. I gave in, let him jump on the bed, he put his paw on her, started whimpering, and she immediately fell quiet and asleep. Thats just the two most obvious examples. I sometimes wondered if there really is more to dogs than we think, like can they actually heal?
The dog I am sitting is a Maremma puppy called Taika (named after one of my two fave directors - so glad my kids like his stuff too). He's been good for me considering the circumstances. Tonight I gave him a talking to about mouthing my leg (it's been biting at my nerves, literally). He stared straight at me the whole time. Then he started 'talking' back to me. It was so weird. I've been sitting him for over 2 weeks and he hasn't done that the whole time. It was very cute actually.
I'll see what photos I have on my computer that I can share.
Thanks for the first opportunity I have had to talk about my Boots since losing him 10 days ago.
Thanks grumbligrot for placing. I liked your story about Tazz
in an Aquarium that size. She grows to the environment she is in. TFTL Grumbligrot
We don’t have far to walk to get to the beach, it’s great fun in summer time, but I do take a long time to dry in the winter ))
It is a huntsman spider called Fred. It’s probably like my hundred year old grandfather’s axe that has has twenty new handles and five new heads.
In other words it may have been many descendants from the original, but we have only ever seen one.
We don’t have to feed him, change his water, or take him for walks.
He is very shy and only appears when it is going to rain a lot.
He appeared last week on the wall, and today we have had over an inch of beautiful soaking rain.
This one was a bonus with a photo to find instead.
Our only pet now is a 7 year old toy poodle named Cher.
She loves going on caching trips and walks along the trails searching for geckos in the bush.
Here is a photo of miss Cher after climbing up on a recently felled tree stump.
Thanks for the brain exercise and the cache Grumbligrot,
Roostaman.
She is certainly a scardie car - and most of the time she can be found on my computer chair asleep

Previously she has been more Greg's dog, but has taken to following me everywhere, won't go to bed until I do and even follows me into the bathroom (like having a toddler again).
This year has been different for her. Normally a town and indoor dog, we have isolated ourselves out in the shed on a farm. Her mobility has improved (thank goodness for medication) and she chases the steer across the paddock every time he comes near the shed.
This picture was taken after I had returned from town. I had gone overnight in this car. After we had done some jobs around the farm, she parked herself in the front seat of the car and would not get out. It was like she was saying "you are not going in this car again without me!"
Gotta love our dogs (the only pets we have had). It will be sad when she is gone, and we won't get another as we want to travel both overseas and join the grey nomads and travel Australia.
Here she is relaxed on the deck a couple of weeks ago.
