My first entry in this series - D for Dan Harris, author of "Speedsolving the Cube". You may be interested to know that there's a community out there of people not only interested in solving the Rubik's Cube (and similar "twisty puzzles"), but in solving them FAST. Real speed requires lots of practice, and committing to memory large numbers of algorithms to use in specific situations. I don't really have the required patience for that, I was more interested in having a play with the various different puzzles and seeing if I can get them out. This book deals with the 3x3x3, 4x4x4, and 5x5x5 cubes, really after that you've got all the techniques you need for any size cube.
Now it looks like it's time to do some more rummaging through my books, including the photos I have taken for the "Title" cache series, as I have some Title-letter duplicates I can use for this series
