Hi; Found this old Lock-Up in a little country town called Fingal (Tasmania). I belive it was associated with a permanent station many years ago. It was mainly used to "house" felons who had committed crimes on the East Coast during their transportation to Hobart or Launceston.
Fingal is now mainly a farming region, but once a mining community; little mining is done in the area today. Coal is one of the minerals taken from this area.
