Gallery of log for Oh, Christmas Tree!
Our Christmas Tree is a living Ginkgo biloba.
This tree is one I've had growing in a pot for almost 20 years. It came to me as a gift seedling from a friend. They collected seeds from the female ginkgo tree (yes, they have different male and female trees) located at the entrance to the old Geology building at Melbourne University.
I don't over decorate it because, although the branches are sturdy, I don't want to damage it. The baubles and such are ones that we have received as gifts (often handmade). The two year old and I even painted a couple of plaster elves to hang on it this year.
Merry Christmas to you all and all the best for the new year.
