Flag of the Republic of Macedonia

This flag puzzled me at first. I hadn't realised that in 1995 the Republic of Macedonia had adopted a new flag to replace the orginal 'Verina Sun' flag. This came after a log dispute with neighbouring Greece about the ancient symbol. (I guess both countries considered themselves to be the 'true' Macedonia. But you can read about all this at Wikipedia.)

So -- surprise, surprise -- this unusual flag turned up flying on one of the many flagpoles in Leura, right next to the flag of Norfolk Island! A good find . . .
