Logs for Arahura

24-Jan-12
Top marks to fozziester for the cache. The container as someone else said is sheer brilliance.

I missed this on my first visit but it niggled for a return. So I took along my wife as it is a lovely area and guess what she found it without the GPS.

The moral is: If at first you don't succeed take the wife.

Found liked the method of hiding the cache. TNLn. ADDed Travel bug Prince.

Fantastic park and the cache is just as fantastic. We loved the Gaurdian of the cache - wonderful colour in the suit.

This cache was note found by us as the steep sloop was very slippery and too risky for my old frame.

Great puzzle in the clue TNLN

TNLN neat idea for acache

You nearly tricked me with this one Wink

Well this is a neat cache - I had to sit a think about it for a few minutes how would I put a cache on this site. That was after I had tested a few ideas before sitting and thinking about the problem. Fantastic clue that actually tells you where to look without giving the game away. Well done.

Great spot when the sun is shining like this morning. anyone wanting photo of planes in the air real close this is a good place for such photos.

13-Nov-10
I nearly had to call this one a DNF but was saved by the bell, The GPS was showing it was sitting on top of the cache do you think I could find it? I had actually handled it without seeing the cache well done to our host - it gave me a further insight to micros which I have in the past avoided.

Another well done cache

Yes I agree a great event.

Aptly named a great spot.

What can I say but that I found this one quite by mistake. I have not done many multi's before two in one day is just to much.

Loved the flowers on the trees in fact it is the first time I've seen flowers on this gens o9f trees.

Neat stopped on the way to "The Assemblage de Collage Paraparaumu."

Thank you for the instruction memo.  I've already logged on for the event earlier.

I hope to have one other person (a non-Cacher) with me so that is two for Arahura.  We both have mobility injury - my wife is likely on crutches and I'm on a stick some days.

Boy you've sure put in a heap of work for this event,  Which I'm sure won't be like my first event in New Plymouth about two years ago where the assembly point was in the middle of a lake.

Most of us who attended didn't even find or contact the organiser at that event.

Thanks

Regards

Arahura (Bruce)

I always enjoy this track, It is a very busy one with walkers of dogs and bikes, joogers and limping people like myself.

Nice one Yeetrees, I used your clue which could have meant anything, I sat and looked for a time and then went straight to it.

Lovely spot enjoyed the short walk into the cache.

Well thought out cache without being insensitive to the area or families who have people here. Thanks for bringing me back to my roots. There are four generations of my family in this particular Cementary.

Great but simple historical display thanks.

Just had to do this cache it is on the property of where three of my Grand Fathers Sisters lived. They would have got a real belly laugh from this one. Good on you. Pity the Picture has gone though.

Thanks for bringing me back to to this reserve. If big daddy is to live another thousand years he needs lots of TLC to get there. Yes! 60 years ago we used to call it big daddy. This tree is protected by a act of Parliment paas about 100 years ago.

This is one of my favorite spots in the world. I first came up to where the cache is about 65 years ago. Thanks for bringing me back.

Thanks for bringing me back to this spot after 55 years away.

Well Cappy you've done it again. As others have said a surprise at the end.

22-Nov-09
Wonderful park, much of it being the remnants of a formal garden from the 19th century at a guess. The big trees around the park and garden are magnificent.

Enjoyed this park lovely chinese theme area. we sat and watch a duch with four little ones for a time. Muggles certainly like sitting in the Gazebo.

Loved the City centre the first time I've seen control arms on a footpath for trains that go through the center of the city. Took heaps of photo's.

Great view. We went the next step on out to Cape Kidnappers a magic trip well recommended.

Great park Binkle and I enjoyed the walk and there were certainly a number of K9's about.

The discription of this cache is spot on and the avenue is magic.
