Logs for Bindel_

15-Jul-21
In full swing - cane with the kids during the school holidays- lots of people brave enough to get out in the rain today. Thanks for the cache!

01-Jan-21
Found while walking from Lucky Bay to Thistle Cove. Beautiful view!

I had to take my shoes off

12-Mar-19
I have not been geocaching for a looong time, but happened across this one accidentally while waiting for a platypus to appear. What a pleasant surprise! And he did give us a little show too!

27-May-15
Took Bindel junior for his first go as a walking, talking, seeking geocacher. He loved the experience of the paper cave. Took glow in the dark stickers and left Thomas the tank engine. Didn't sign log as didn't take a pen, will be back as its close to the grandparents house. Thanks for the cache.

20-Nov-14
One night in batemans bay. Up early for a spot of caching. Tftc

22-May-14
I was in bed checking the rain radar and trying to decide whether or not to brave the rain and ride to work when I saw this pubished. My mind was easily made up. It was a lonely ride which made finding the cache unseen much easier than it normally would at 8am on a weekday morning. Glad to have the wet bottom in exchange for a FTF.

19-Sep-13
Took a bike ride with the geoson and picked this one up as I stopped for a drink and decided to check for caches nearby, this was only 10m so couldn't resist!

31-May-13
I was able to convince my mother to cone for a drive and to sit in the car with the baby while I had another go at this one - unencumbered this time. It was very easily found as I was now able to crouch. Lovely big and well stocked cache, unfortunately I didn't have anything to swap so took only the coin trackable. Thanks for a very challenging puzzle!

22-May-13
I solved this in collaboration with blob the night it was published but couldn't bring myself to make a third trip up the hill that day. I think the solution jumped at me as a bit of a fluke due to the way I had worked at it, but as the description says, it is impossible to be mistaken if it's right. Had to wait until today to get a shot at it, but couldn't spot the cache at GZ. It could be something to do with the baby bjorn and GZ terrain not being compatible. I'll come back soon when I have another set of hands.

15-May-13
This was published as I was at home packing the car for a day in Kalamunda. Should i or shouldn't I?

Thought I had no chance since it is almost in school grounds, the school where both blob and Jacko go so it would be easy for them to grab it before school. I just hoped that they were like I was in high school and valued a sleep in over anything. That, and that the bears have been roaming the area lately.

Packing the car took quite some time with a baby and two dogs, but I eventually got moving - a 30min drive ahead. Had been texting blob in friendly competition and thought it was definitely all over when I was stuck in roadworks in canning rd and he reported Jacko was already at school. Oh well, I'm here, may as well log the cache anyway. Got to GZ and easily uncovered the cache (a similar hide to Sundays lensterhawk FTF), and was surprised to find a blank log. But in my hurry to leave the house I had forgotten a pen! With only a few minutes left before the school bell, blob came to my aid with his pencil case full of writing implements. We logged a joint FTF at 8:35. Thanks lensterhawk! Also, I think I might be spending too much time in Kalamunda lately...

12-May-13
This was published just as we (finally) sat down for Mother's Day lunch and only 1.4km from my mothers house. After lunch I was able to convince my Dad to come out for the hunt. Dad saw the hiding spot from 30m out and we checked each scroll to ensure that we were indeed FTF at 4:50pm. Took the WWFMIX tag. TFTC Leinsterhawk.

07-May-13
I was visiting family in Kalamunda with Bindeljnr when the notification came through, I was a 2 min drive from GZ. Unfortunately Bindeljnr was asleep, so I had to wait. When I arrived I heard the gravel crunching sound which meant someone was running through the parrotbushes and saw the KSHS uniform. Then I saw hair, and lots of it. I yelled out 'is that you Jack?' To which came the reply 'dammit, have you got it?' I hadn't had time to look yet. So Jack and I search together. I sent Jack in to some places that I couldn't get with a baby strapped to my front. Eventually I spotted it in the obvious location but it took me a while to retrieve. I handed it straight to Jack to sign the log for us thinking we would be joint FTF. Just then the geo squeaks turned up and we got lost in introductions, Jack got the log open and realised we had been beaten the the find by Rouge. The 3 teams left the GCA cache behind for someone else.

I really love this area, I used to ride my bike through here when I was younger. It's a pity someone has used it as an asbestos dump :'( thanks for the fun lensterhawks

01-Apr-13
Tackled this series with my husband and dad. We had great fun. Dad picked up some washed up salvage from the beach below, he believes it to be worth about $200!

27-Mar-13
FTF at 10am, I was coming up the hill today so decided to see if I could be the first to this one. Took the geodogs and geobub along. A lovely park for dogs and a good hide. Thanks for the cache geosqueaks.

03-Mar-13
This was published just as we were leaving breakfast in Vic park, a quick drive over the causeway and the FTF was ours within 10 mins of publication Smile had to make a retrieval tool out of a nearby dead weed. Tftc Smile

28-Feb-13
Found while wasting some time in the area. Log is quite crumpled but still useable. TFTC.

26-Feb-13
Took a ride around the neighborhood and decided to pop in for this one. Was quicker than I expected but a great hide. Thanks!

31-Jan-13
Blob and I headed of with one bike and a baby in a pram. We parked and caught the train from Kwinana to Cockburn and walked/rode back. The plan was to take it in turns, but Blob kindly let me ride most of the way while he cooed over his new cousin. We made good progress until almost every person who passed us in the other direction warned us of a snake further ahead - this made us very cautious of sticking our hands into the bush and slowed us down considerably until the heat of the day made us have to call it quits at Anketell Rd. Thanks for the series!
