fearlessly followed Mrs. M from mnjontour this morning. Lucky there wasn't a cliff along this walk as with her nose stuck in her phone and frantically watching the distance to go decrease i'm certain she wouldn't have seen it coming.. this geocaching world is a funny one. TFTC.

was very excited to accompany mrs M from MnJonTour for a first to find. Im not sure i'm cut out for the cut throat business of FTF, but it was fun none the less. TFTC.

Found this one on the way down from 'third time lucky' with MnJontour. I was happy in two respects, one, the steep descent was over and two, I had finally found the well marked trail I was looking for, I only had to tackle Mt Majura Adjacent to get to it..!

Thanks for getting us back on track Smile

After getting back on the established Majura Track, this one was good incentive to get to the Top. I was geocaching with MnJontour and had already tackled Mt. Majura Adjacent. Moral took a hit momentarily until Mr. J realised our proximity to the next cache! With the sun getting low and time running out, i noticed that Mr. J's energy levels appeared to be inversely proportional to the distance to the next cache. The pace picked up and we reached the summit for sunset. A passing comment earlier in the afternoon by Mrs. M that people get lost on Mt. Majura was brushed aside impatiently as nonsense, was quickly recalled as the light disappeared along with the track. Luckily Mr J, who i liken to a grown up boy scout, had a torch and a trusty GPS, which led us home safely.

An adventure of 2 peaks, 3hrs 13min, 9km, one fall, wrong turns, and a great bonding experience with the parents into this new world of geo-caching.

After informing MnJontour that I wanted to get back into my trail running, and planned on going up Mt Majura, they jumped at the chance to come with me. I assured them it was an easy path to the top with built in steps and a very clear trail. So off i went jogging in front of them telling them I would meet them at the top. I got to a crossing point which looked 'vaguely' familiar, and decided to start heading up. It was a little more over grown than I remembered... I wanted all of us to get to the top together, so I jogged back to meet them to walk it up together. We crossed a ladder over a fence (that should have been our first hint), but Mr. J said there was a cache straight up so I took that as we must be on the right track. It was about the time that I was using my hands as well as feet to pull me up the hill that i realised this wasn't what I had done before.

I think we took the most difficult track possible, but where would the fun be in the easy way? MnJ were speculating this had been planned on my part, in order to collect their inheritance. I told them I had no interest in their collection of trackables, geocaches, or geo-merchanidise...

A very nice view at the top, and an equal challenge to get back down.. I'm starting to like this geo-business..

My first official caching experience with my brother Mr. Stormcatcher. Mr. S's definition of 'a slight adjustment with the original plan' was a 'slight underestimation'. After wondering if we would ever leave, he informs me we are going for a walk at the cotter. a WALK!! I was kitted up in cam pants, combat boots and had enough supplies and wet weather gear for a more than a WALK! I demanded more, so we hit the road to Namadgi. I am Canberra Born and Bred and am ashamed to say I have never been out there, at least during my working memory!

For my first 'official' cache, I was very happy for the brief foray into the bushwalking/caching world, and look forward to many more. Thanks for a great first cache
