Logs for Tarinus

Haha very clever. We got it more by fluke, I was kicking at it, and noticed it wouldn't budge. It's been squashed- can't believe it! So casual! Cache in need of maintenance.

Nice find by Cajowa who was with us for this trip! Took nothing, left nothing!
Easy find on beautiful day. Container smaller than we expected. Took nothing, left nothing.

The mud is toughest thing to navigate getting to this one. Got to explain the state of the kids shoes when we get back... Eek! 40c left, hobsons bay key ring taken.
Last find for the day! Didn't know this was right here until a new search when in the car. Parked right next to it! Cache waterlogged. Could not sign. Nothing left or taken.
Gps had us wondering if we needed to jump the fence with this one, but it soon gave us better reading and we went straight to it. Took nothing, left nothing.
Watchout for the bullants all around this cache. Left nothing, took nothing! Well hidden this one!

iPhone navigation was 10+ metres out so had us 'up the creek' a bit, but a rethink and a 'torch app' utilisation met with success. Left 'gemstone' and retrieved some 'glitter glue'. J and L delighted, off home to dinner!
21-Dec-10
Easy find with J and L. Cache in very run down condition and half full with water. Emptied of water and resealed. Took nothing.

An easy find - very enjoyable for all - thanks!
We took the turtle and left the Travel Bug who was originally from Apollo Bay. He's now a little further up the coast!

Logged our find... left nothing, took nothing. A very obvious location, and yet the questions still remains: 'burrow or reach'?
23-Aug-06
A very interesting place with some great views. Enjoyed this cache. Came at it from the wrong direction to begin with and bumped into a high barbed wire fence. Was accompanied by a friend with this one, and he was first to lay his eyes on the prize. Cache is still a bit damp, and we tried to wipe it dry as best as we could before returning it. Left nothing and took nothing.

A long walk from centre of town to this one. With three kids under three, we reckon we did pretty well!
Was horrified when, 200m or so from the cache, I got a low battery warning on the GPS. Ran the last 200m, and picked it up straight away - an easy find.
Took travel bug, and will deposit down coast a bit during the week. A few more walks like this and I might make some progress on the waist line... then again, with the smell of butter chicken curry in the air now... perhaps not.

Found 1300 on 12th of the 8th, 06.
Had a few attempts at this one, the clue made it a breeze.
Took nothing, left nothing... tried to sign the logbook but the pen provided had died the death. New logbook need too, as current one is fairly full. Love the cool magnetic based box!

A very nice walk to this location, found the cache easy enough. Sat and read some passages from Jeremiah for a while on the bench near the cache. Great weather and the Rechabites - great company. Signed the logbook, left nothing, took nothing.
My first Multi. A very well preserved and presented cache. Had no idea there was a reserve here. Signed the logbook, took nothing and left nothing.
Forgot about sticking to the path, but thankfully its a bit cold for snakes at this time of year. Signed the log book, left nothing and took nothing. Was wondering as retrieving if I was being observed from the loungeroom of one of the houses nearby. Geocaching must look awfully suspicious from a distance.

A very satisfying find... my GPS was spot on - starting to believe in it.
We left a fridge magnet, and Tarinus Jnr. has treasure No. 2 for the day... a horse.

3rd and last for the day!
Left a fridge magnet, and retrieved a nice little collection of coins from Team JJSJS. Thanks!
Found this one very easily. Tarinus Jnr. ready for home, and needing a change of clothes and a bath.

First Cache... found with 3 yr old Tarinus Jnr. He didn't believe there was any 'treasure' and was telling Dad how silly the whole idea was and how bored he was getting. Imagine his face when Dad finally uncovered the little blue box!
With renewed faith and conviction in Dad, he hopped on his back for a ride back to the car. Tarinus Jnr. was delighted to be holding a grey car in his hot little hand. We left a fridge magnet. Tarinus Jnr. ecstatic with the trade.
