Logs for dasubi

20-Mar-05
That was fun, our first multi cache. A bit of headscratching on one of the questions but we must have guessed right.

Copy the warning about small kids and edges... our rather thick dog nearly went over the edge at high speed, luckily it does come when called!
No swaps... thanks Team Piggy.

Found it, hard to miss this one. Stonehenge?
No swaps. Thanks TA.

We've managed to drive past this one several times, without noticing the hats. Cripes.
Thanks B&B!

Part of team dasubi, with Dave on his first cache finding expedition. It's a well hidden cache, and it was Dave who found it. Good spot.

We walked in from the Rawnsley cabins - had a morning free as it was too wet to fly gliders, we're up here for the AUGC's weekend flying in the Flinders Ranges. Club website http://www.augc.on.net/ This is a stunning area to fly - not bad for walking or caching either Smile

07-Mar-04
Despite the new navigator, we found it. Swapped a Lion King toy (beware, noise) for the PVC tape. Thanks again B & B!

26-Dec-03
Found the cache, enjoyed the peace near the creek. No swaps. Thanks Ian!

Found the cache easily. My GPS didn't quite agree with the coords on the historic marker... different system maybe? No swaps. Cheers Ian.

20-Dec-03
The ground was wet from yesterday's rain, so we walked a bit further than usual. Not hard to find, good spot. Thanks Ian!

22-Nov-03
heh, got there on the third attempt. This cache is worth finding - I didn't know about the reserve it's in, and it's quite a find. Thanks Barry & Beryl.

The new boardwalk looks nearly finished...

24-Aug-03
Found about an hour after Team Piggy was there. (short search required) Swapped a swan vase for another plastic frog. (don't ask me, the women in this team love them)

Once again, a pretty nice are that I hadn't seen. Thanks B&B.

27-Jul-03
After being patient with windy roads going the other way, we found the cache easily. Thanks Barry and Beryl, a great out-of-the-way spot but I expect to return... maybe for the same reason as Ron.

I wouldn't like to go along those tracks if it was wet, 4WD or not, that clay can become very soft.

07-Jul-03
Good one - found easily after a couple of wrong turns.
Took my parents along to see what caching is about. They live in the area but had never stopped at this spot... good one Geocoopers!

25-May-03
Found it, not too easily, which is good I suppose!
Daughter took Swiss army knife, left a cookie recipe and seashell. Good spot Rob.

Shortest member of team found it by being curious Smile
Left swiss army knife from fogotten, took green frog and agate. Thanks Liz & Bruce!

27-Apr-03
Found easily, good excuse to look at the Bookmark Biosphere info, get off the bitumen for a while, etc.
Took nothing, left a plastic snowman.
Thanks Sam & Jedda.

Had fun scrambling around the dunes, they are impressive and a bit unexpected! Found the cache easily, left a shell and took the Chupachup.
Good one Liz & Bruce!

Well hidden but we found it. I was interested how it got the name, and wondered for a while if the wrecked bike in the tree was something to do with it, but now All Is Explained.

Took the chewing gum, left a Pokemon card. Thanks independence.

18-Apr-03
Hooray, found it. Great range of gadgets... took tape measure and frog, left penguin and sea shell. Now if someone would just leave fly repellent... they're from the sheep paddock maybe.

Thanks Barry and Beryl, good one!

Enjoyed scrambling around looking for it... a pretty nice spot. People everywhere on the river, it being easter weekend, but not around the cache.

Took nothing, left nothing. thanks Sam and Jedda for showing us a nice spot!

12-Apr-03
Bones, bones everywhere, what does a pelvis look like? Found easily, took nothing, left a sea shell.

Not exactly a garden spot, more like dry Australian scrub. Still a good place to see... thanks Kevin.

Took the easy road, and found it easily. Lots of sand and dust in the air, despite some recent rain: hate to think what it would be like on a hot day with a northerly.
Took snake, left pencil. Thanks Team Piggy.

This cache is a great excuse for a pleasant drive around the countryside. I'm glad we parked on the road and walked in... it's sandy and not far.
Took nothing except a few bubbles (thanks to gunnell), left nothing.
Nice one subyau!

Hey, we found it at last! Pretty pleased, it was our third go at it...first two aborted due lack of time, plus we kept getting blocked by rivers and creeks. I think we trampled through the same settlement maccamob did - permanent I guess.
Nice spot, will come back later to sit and watch the river go by. I *think* I can find a better track to it.
Daughter couldn't be separated from the screwdriver - took it, left nothing, sorry, she promises to leave toys next time.

Our first cache... thanks Sam, all went as advertised!
Our dogs were no help at all finding the cache: no smell, what you want, I suppose. Sharp eyed younger persons are useful however.
Took nothing, left some batteries.
