Find an interesting painted or artistic bus shelter
For this cache I want you to find and photograph, with your GPS in the picture, a unique, odd or artistic bus shelter. Have a look at the log to see my find and its coordinates. I already found this one to start you all off.

I noticed this decorated bus shelter when on my way the get a photo for another cache. I then saw a second similarly decorated bus shelter so perhaps this is the way they are decorated in this area. Another possibility is that it is to discourage other graffiti activities.

This Blinky Bill inspired Bus Shelter is located at Glenbrook in the Blue Mountains. I was out caching with thomo31 when we came across this and I feel in love with it. It is TOO CUTE!!! I love the artwork and the colours and the way it stokes the imagination. Beautiful bus shelter and a wonderful cache.

I loved the artwork on this bus shelter, at Gulargambone. The end view attracted you in, but the inside was just spectacular.
The artist not only had a good eye for what would attract the public but a great sense of humour as well.
Thanks Everlasting for the opportunity to share these pictures via this locationless

TFTC. I always liked this bus shelter so happy to take a photo for this cache.
Everton Bus Shelter, this is a popular stop for Geocachers as it has a GC cache here, lus I recently left a GA moveable here as well. It may have been used before but is constantly being redecorated, so is worthy of inclusion again if it has been.
Not a photo of me or my gps, instead a shot of son dalerious enjoying the luxuriousnesss of this ultra comfortable bus shelter.
Back around 2014, the powers that be, chose to build a new shelter right in front of the old one - why would they do this?
But by 2015 the bus shelter was removed and the old bus shelter was moved forward. A win to the locals!! Someone finally realised the tourism value.
The day we were there a meerkat was abseiling down the wall. You never know what you are going to find in it.

This Bus Shelter is in the lower Blue Mountains, and was painted by a local artist with help from local school children, well over 10 years ago.
MOSS VALE ROAD
MOSS VALE, NSW
I've been meaning to log this bus shelter for ages. It has been sitting here for as long as I can remember and has had a fancy paint job for a number of years too.

I've had the image for this sitting on my computer since June and couldn't remember which town I saw it in - I'd neglected to categorise it. Lucky for me a couple of letters on the building behind gave me a clue as to the location. A quick google confirmed. I like the artwork on these bus shelters, quite attractive and something interesting to look at while waiting for the bus, plus it brightens the townscape. I wouldn't say this one I found is particularly inspiring, but it certainly catches one's attention. Logging for the Summer Scavenger Hunt find.

I am going to beg forgiveness for not having my GPS in the pic for this one...I was so happy to be passing this bus stop while it was being painted by the artist. I wanted to stop and talk and tell her about why I was taking a photo, and even take o photo of her with her art...but I chickened out! I'll stop by tomorrow on the way home from work, and if she is still there, I will ask.

Lovers Lane bus stop shelter, Ironbark, Qld.
How appropriate to be logging this one today (Valentine's Day).
The nearby street sign was frequently being stolen so it is now welded to the post and stands in a hedge of prickly bougainvillea.

Found on our Wagga Wagga trip. After getting a nearby cache, we found this really cool bus stop in Yass (NSW) and thought that it would be suitable for this cache. It is painted with a pattern that looks like wood. A quick snap of the camera and we were on our way again. TFTC Everlasting!

The Shoalhaven River recently breached the dunes at its mouth on 7 Mile Beach (it normally flows to the sea via Berry's Canal & the Crookhaven River) so I threw a line in today & feed the fish. Saw this on the way back so grabbed a few photos sans my Magellan. If you're a Garmin owner you'd probably appreciate my oversight. This bus stop in Shoalhaven Heads features three surfers with Coolangatta Mountain in the background. The surfboard of one continues over the bench so quite clever. I'll add a photo of my Magellan before the river closes, I promise.

Notice that the shelter has its back to the highway, that is because when the highway was widened it was moved and now the bus shelter is facing the wrong way!

I drive past this bus shelter nearly every day but think the term 'shelter' is a bit misleading. I don't think it would provide any worthwhile shelter at all. At least it looks interesting!
This interesting bus shelter is outside the Cradle Coast Campus of the University of Tasmania. This was a two for one because we were there to look for another cache on the campus grounds.

A rainbow coloured bus shelter like this deserves some recognition! Found at Hycroft in Tasmania, it serves as a school bus shelter for the kids that live along this road. Where else in Australia could the kids leave their bikes and helmets, go to school and come back and still have their transportation still there on their return. TFTC and cheers; OldSaint.
Another of the many decorated bus shelters in the Blue Mountains, found this one along Ross Street in Glenbrook on my way to pick up 'Blossom*s Bounty'. Loved that paint job, very apt for the Blue Mountains.

I consider this an 'interestingly' painted bus shelter. Many years ago the ACT govt allowed school & community groups to live up Canberra's bus shlters by painting them. A paint company sponsored prizes for the best ones. This one in Canberra's north, painted by the Bruce Hostel, won in the Community Group section.
Here's the interesting part - that artwork has long since been painted over in bland neutral tones, but the plaque remains on the bus shelter (see photo) .
Thanks for the cache!

Amazing what you see when you actually open your eyes and look, I was shocked to see one painted bus stop, but even more shocked when I saw the second one. With this one I managed to pull over to take the photo but then had to scoot off as I took the second photo as a bus came along.
Found as a last minute driveby, cant wait to go back and actually look at the painting, was shocked to see it, thought the councils had replaced most of these with the new boring ones.
These murals are directly behind the bus shelter the the Dickson Shops.
I particularly like the blue lady with the orange feature which is in the "Action Bus" colours our local bus company.
