Description
A nice view down the runway.....!
It seemed such a shame that a large dragonZone like Hay had so few caches. The cache name gives a fairly good pointer to the location, although you won't need to go there to find the cache. It will also help to break up the journey across the Hay Plain.
(Sol de lune was present when the cache was placed and will log his find once the FTF has been claimed).

When I heard that TemoGeoDad (TGD) and Geomum (GM) was heading to Hay, I decided on asking if I could catch a lift so I could go Geocaching around the area. Unfortunately, TGD missed out on finding these caches as he was going to Hay for other reasons. So, after they dropped themselves off, I was given the car keys and headed off for the day of caching. I started the day by finding the caches on the outskirts of town and then I headed back to Hay to find the central ones. I also visited many of the unique locations that Hay has to offer. Out of the possible 15 finds, I made 14. I couldn’t find the last one because muggles were around GZ all day playing cricket. Anyway, I enjoyed my day out and soon it was time to pick up TGD and GM, so we could head home. TB visit and all caches were in good condition. A big thanks to the CO for adding this cache to game for the Geocaching community to enjoy. TFTC!
Great views of the airport. As for the cache, a nice quick find. Thanks for bringing me here.

Visiting Hay for a relatives 70th birthday so we stayed an extra day to spend more time with them and to find a few caches. This was one and it was a very quick find for Mrs Shifter.
Thank you for the hide.

Found It!
A quick find here while on the way across the Hay plain. This would have to be one of the easiest places to build an airport without any of those pesky trees or hills in the way!

We're making our way from Mildura to Hay today and we just had to make a short detour to grab this moveable cache, a traditional and a trig. Well worth the effort for some extra finds. TFTC
Heading to Blackall Qld for QOGM 2019.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find. GC caches are a few far and between on these outback roads.

We had put together a list of caches that we would look for as we made our way from West Wyalong to Hay. Just before we left we noticed that there were three unfound caches just out of Swan Hill. As we needed a first to find this month - never an easy task when travelling, we decided to check into our accommodation as soon as we got to Hay and head to GC8ADWK by passing this cache that would hopefully be found on our way back.
After a successful FTF hunt and almost 400km round trip we stopped to look for this cache. It was now almost 8pm and very dark but we were still able to make a quick find. The container and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for this cache LuckyL10n. It was good to have another dZ cache in the Hay area. As it was dark and the shed across the road was unlit we could not confirm whether or not the shed across the road was indeed Hay's international airport.

Out on a bit of a caching run and after missing a turn or three, I ending up in Hay. So after refuelling both myself and the vehicle, I dropped in on this one.

GCA 1860. Found during a run around this area with Albida33.
Very happy with the number of GCA Trigs, CORS and Trads plus a few B&W's caches we managed this trip. Quick find and then moved on to the next one.

Had a long three days of caching with a total of 2054 km done! Enjoyed every minute of it despite some dissapointments as well. Most caches I found were really nice and in good condition, thanks to all the CO for putting them out there! Trip Kiama-down the Hume to Albury/Wodonga-Along the Murray to Cobram-back to NSW and via Hay to Ivanhoe=back down to Griffith-Temora-Yass and home. Yahoo FTF! Had to be carefull to pul over with a couple of big trucks right behind me!
