Description

A cache to wrap up a trip along the Goyder Highway at Burra.....

I noticed that there were no GCA caches along the Goyder Highway bewteen Morgan and Burra, so I have dropped this one off at the start of the Goyder Highway as you leave Burra heading east.  A last stretch of the legs as you leave town for the journey east.

(Sol de lune was present when the cache was placed and will log his find once the FTF has been claimed).

While we were on our way from Clare to Renmark we stopped here and made an easy find with the aid of good coordinates and a useful hint, TFTC

Managed to spot this one hiding away in the depths. Couldn’t access it without the use of a long tool but eventually managed to retrieve it. Perhaps some wildlife has been playing with it QuestionQuestion
Signed the log and left in an easier spot to access. Should be good to go now.
Many thanks for the hide LuckyL10n Smile

No luck for us here today. We know just where to look on these things, but the cupboard was bare.

Heading north we realised we still had a cache we had yet to search out at Burra, made a slight detour to GZ for a quick find, cache is still in excellent condition, very dry out around here for this time of year

Today we finished the last few caches in Burra and then headed to Morgan via the End of the World. We chose that way as we had travelled the direct route to Morgan before and cached out that road, and it sounded like an interesting place to visit.
Our first GCA cache for a while and an easy pick up.
Thanks.

The Big Western Australia trip in 2018. Day 43. The travel is speeding up as I head home. Today I went from Hawker to Mildura via Burra.

Last time I was here this was just out and did not get to see it, today as I passed I stopped and signed the log.

Thanks

We had not intended to come this way on this trip however the chance to find a GCA cache in this area resulted in a small change in plans and our last find for the day.

We were heading west to Port Wakefield so the hunt involved a short dash across the highway to the hide. We found the cache in very good condition.

Thanks for this cache LuckyL10n it is good to see more GCA caches popping up across Australia.

We have travelled the Goyder in the past, but we were going in a different direction today, so just a quick find

A nice drive by cache completed – it’s nice to complete a GCA cache today Cool – at least there is a half decent parking of the HWY – some caches in the greater area I would ? QuestionThinkRolling EyesBrick Wall the safety aspect of them - thanks - TFTC / TFTH / SL Clan Griffin

Passing through this way so stopped for a quick stretch of the legs and to find a cache Mr. Green Cache was easily enough spotted but it did take a little judicious cleaning away of spider webs with a stick before I was game enough to put my hand in and grab it Shocked
Cache is in good condition so signed the log and returned to its hidey hole so that the spiders can begin the camo job again.
Cheers & TFTC LuckyL10n

A quick find here after evicting a large huntsman from his home. This was the end of the Goyder for me I think - I started at Morgan...

Now the first to find has been claimed I can claim my find.....

Burra is such neat little place...and the history trail they have set up so you can visit all the local attractions is an excellent idea. My second visit to the area, any probably not my last. Just a pity there aren't more Geocaching Australia caches in the area, but at least this one helps out a little.
