Description

Time waits for no man, except where these clocks are!

This Cache is about finding those public timepieces that are now frozen in time (ie they are no longer running!) The clocks have to be outside, and each clock (even if multi-faced) can only be logged once.

To log, you are required to take a photo of the clock AND your GPSr showing the correct time! This can be a little tricky; I found with my camera that if I held the GPS at arms-length and in the centre of the shot, then half-pressed the shutter button for it to focus on the GPS, I could then lower the GPS and completely depress the button. (Poor button!)

I then took another shot of the clock only, so it could be seen clearly. For clarity’s sake I selected the GPS screen in an image-enhancement software package, and increased the contrast on this area.

I will be more forgiving with you, and generally take your word for it if it is hard to read the GPS in your image! Please include the location coordinates, time the photo(s) was/were taken, and any interesting information you can share on your slumbering chronometer!

I used as my example Scots Church in Bathurst Street, Hobart. The clock stopped around 10 years ago and no longer chimes because there simply aren't the funds or the manpower to keep it running.

The Thwaites and Reed clock is one of a collection of six purportedly gifted to Tasmania in the 1830s by the King of England, George V. However, the six clocks appear to have arrived in 1828, as they were on an inventory of the ship, the 'York'; this brings the whole “Royal Donation” notion into question.

The other five clocks are all still in the state, and as far as I know (here's an extra challenge!) are still running!  They are:

(Old Trinity) Penitentiary Chapel, Hobart (Still running reliably, but no longer chiming)

St John's Church at Newtown (Still running reliably and still, I believe, ringing on the hour)

Christ Church, Longford (Still running)

St John’s Anglican Church, Launceston (Still running)

St Luke’s Anglican Church, Richmond- Clock was installed in 1922; it had first been installed in the tower of St David's, Hobart ( Still running, although in 2005 legal proceedings where being taken to silence the chimes!)

There were, in the original inventory, two faces for each clock and mechanisms to operate those faces.   The Penitentiary Chapel clock was installed by convict clock maker Richard Waters, and it is possible Waters installed the other five clocks which are now dotted around the State, although not all are in their original locations.

By the way, the Penitentiary Chapel and Criminal Courts Complex at 98 Campbell Street, just around the corner, is well and truly worth a visit, especially if you like gallows, underground tunnels, and prison cells!

We were in the south of the state during the last two days doing the Devil series of puzzle caches. We parked the caravan at the free campsite at Kempton and based our caching from there. The first time we drove past this clock it was 8.30am and the clock read 9.30. I assumed that it hadn't been altered since the change to daylight savings. But when we returned later in the day it was still on 9.30. As we were leaving yesterday on the way home I got Mr Beetle to stop so I could get the required photo for this cache. The phone camera would only focus on either the phone or the town clock so I have included a couple of photos. This is a cache that I could have claimed many times before but getting Mr Beetle to stop for locationless caches is always a bit of a chore. Thanks.

Found this clock with time standing still in Dunsborough, WA.
A great place during the holidays for the time to stand still Smile
I am pointing to the clock in the photo, with the correct time up the top of the phone photo, completely different to that of the clockface where time stands still.
Thanks for the locatiionless cache Smile

I found this clock on the platform at the now abandoned Murwillumbah Railway Station. At first I thought the time was 4.55 which is not the time we were there. When I looked closer I realised it just didn't have hands. I could say that this station was timeless but since it was a double sided clock when I checked the other face I noticed that it was working, although it was completely the wrong time.

Thank you for the locationless.

Lonsdale Street, Melbourne
I was shopping in Melbourne today and came across this clock on Londsale Street. It was 2.35 and the clock is showing 3.15. I stood for a while trying to get a photo with either my gps or fitbit but could not manage to get it to work on the busy street. Hope you accept my log. TFTC

Time has certainly stood still for this clock tower. It is in Christchurch NZ and was a victim of the earthquake in 2011. This is our second trip to Christchurch since the quake. There has been a lot of changes and rebuilding.

Queenstown Post Office clock, Tasmania. The clock has stopped at 10:55, but the (correct) time on my watch was showing 10:25. A second check later in the day still had the Post Office clock on 10:55.

The Spires Clock Tower
Leura Mall, NSW

This Blue Mountains clock has stopped again! They fixed it last year, but now something seems to have happened.

I struggled a bit to get the clock tower plus my GPSr reading, with the time showing, in the same photo, but seem to have succeeded with one of the pictures!

Have wanted to log this Locationless for a long time now . . . pardon the pun!

I happened to notice this very conveniently stopped clock as I was driving through Ross on the way to Launceston this afternoon.

"On the corner of Church and Badajos Streets is St Johns Church of England which was built in 1868. The organ is more than 100 years old and the church is notable for its fine stained glass windows, its oak lectern and its unusual Caen stone pulpit." I was on my way to the OZ Mega & pulled into Gundagai to have a break & a look around. Spied this clock on the Court House which if was being relied upon by the locals for court attendances could see them in big trouble - accurate twice a day.

Today was the fifth day of our excursion out of Tasmania touring from Melbourne to Canberra and return via Gippsland. We visited a number of towns and areas today between Cann River in Victoria and Cooma in New South Wales, via Jindabyne and we were lucky enough to find some caches along the way. The day started very foggy but cleared quickly to a fine day with changing proportions of blue skies and broken cloud. Whilst going for lunch in Jindabyne today at 12:40 we noticed a clock facing the car park which stated that the time was 6:18. In case the clock was still going but was showing the incorrect time, we returned about an hour later - the clock was still showing the came time. Time was certainly standing still and Nuggets Crossing Shopping Centre in Jindabyne. Two photos have been added to the Gallery: the clock, one of us and our GPS; a closer image of our GPS showing the time to be 1:39 on Saturday 21 April 2012. TFTC

Found this one in toowoombaQ. This clock has been showing this time for a very long time as the building now sits empty on the corner orF Ruthven and Russell streets. the building was built in the early 1960,s and was the main commonwealth bank for a very long time. When the bank shited its focus and staff to other buildings in toowoomba the building was let to various business's. It nhow sits empty and i think it is in the handos of receivers. It does not matter what time you see this it will always be the same. I drove past at 0900 and 1030 and 1215 and the hands had still not moved. Do not quite meet the criteria for the clim but I come close. TFTC

WanderingAus wandered by, visiting the Gosnells Railway Markets, and spotted this clock tower, which I'd seen probably a couple of dozen times before, but never took a photo before. The time is stuck at 10:01, so I was able to claim a find of this cache as well as GA3197 Clock Towers in Australia by Tassie Trekkers. When I was preparing the photo for GA3197 Clock Towers in Australia I noticed a small piece of rainbow in the bottom right hand corner, so I also claimed a find of GA1358 The Rainbow By Everlasting.

tn_5014210315.jpg tn_6114210315.jpg

The light was wrong to capture the time on the gpsr, which was 15:11, but the camera time stamp clearly shows 15:11. The crisp shadows in the photo show it is not 10:01 PM, and the Google Satellite View in the second photo shows the clock tower face of the building runs Northeast to Southwest. At 10:01 AM the face of the clock tower would have been in full sun, and the shadow of the bollard would have run from right to left. The shadow of the bollard is consistent with the sun being a little north of West at 15:11.

SG-3 is so kind to let me log this when he'd already taken a photo of our Hobart GPO clock stuck at 12 - I have my GPS there, but just to be sure I put my wrist in the picture as well which shows the actual time (on my watch) more clearly at 4:15pm. (Sorry, no clever use of technology and fancy apps...)
SG-3 gave a fine description of when the GPO was built and it is a central feature on the Hobart city landscape. It seems quite odd for it to be stopped.
Thanks SG-3

WanderingAus wandered by hunting down the Waymark WMACXQ Fast Eddys Clock—Perth, Australia which of course was this clock tower. When the three photos were taken for the Waymark in December 2010 the time was 3:41, but now the time is stuck at 5:50, so I was able to claim a find of this cache. I was also able to claim a find of GA3197 Clock Towers in Australia by Tassie Trekkers.

The light was wrong to capture the time on the gpsr, which was 13:02, but the camera time stamp clearly shows 13:02. Just to be sure I took another photo at 13:04 and the Fast Eddys Clock hadn't changed from 5:50.

I'm sure that fine print is in there Dippy, and I think such a prominent stopped clock deserves a better photographic record than my playing with a new phone ap! If you still have the photo, please log it as a find!

Darn! (Without checking the cache page) I took a good photo for this today...hoping it wouldn't already be logged. I'm sure I saw some fine print somewhere about being able to be logged in addition to a cache owner's find/log... Liar

The Hobart GPO was one of the first public buildings in Tasmania to be completed after Federation although the Commonwealth refused to fund its clock tower. The building was officially opened at 10pm on 2 September 1905. When the Inspector of Public Buildings ordered the removal of the barriers a frenzied rush ensued to post the first letter. The clock and chimes were installed in the course of the following year and was started at 2.15pm on 22 June 1906 by Lady Edeline Strickland, wife of the Governor. ₤1,465 (pounds sterling) was raised by public subscription to cover the clock fixtures and fittings. The building's opening provided Tasmania with a centre to direct its rapid expansion and has remained with minimal alterations to the exterior.

The clock is currently undergoing maintenance, and creating havoc with bus timetables! Shocked

WanderingAus wandered by with the WanderingMrs (aka SWMBO) on day 131 of our annual Climatic Refugee trip, after 11 weeks in Darwin and a couple of weeks meandering across and down through Queensland then slowly down the Kidman Way to Griffith, through Jerilderie and on to Finley where we booked in to the caravan park for two nights, then on to Cobram for a night, and then to Rochester for a couple of nights.

The WanderingMrs had determined through the wonders of the Information Superhighway that there was line dancing that night in Kangaroo Flats, just south of Bendigo, so off we went again, and checked in to the A Line Caravan Park in Big Hill a little further south for two nights. Once again the WanderingMrs had chosen the caravan park through the Information Superhighway, and it was a top choice, excellent facilities and well laid out.

Before leaving the City of Greater Bendigo area I placed an "I've Cached Everywhere Man (ICEM)" cache, GA3409 WanAus 201 - Bendigo ICEM. After two nights at Big Hill we did a right turn and headed West through Saint Arnaud and Murtoa to Horsham, where sadly the Information Superhighway incorrectly stated that there was line dancing that night.

The WanderingMrs had also determined through the wonders of the Information Superhighway that there was over a week of line dancing at the Wentworth Services Club, so after a couple of cold, wet and windy days in Horsham, we headed towards Ouyen as our "halfway house" to the Wentworth area.

After checking in to the Ouyen Caravan Park we headed off to explore the town, and were surprised to find a very nice Bakery open at 3:00 PM on a Sunday, so we treated ourselves to some very nice cappucino and cakes for afternoon tea.

We then continued to explore the town and after hunting down GC1WE2K Visiting Mum by Honeysucker and TP0340 Ouyen Area by Geocaching Australia, as well as a number of assorted locationless caches, I spotted this Large Wheat Sheef with a clock which had stopped at 11:17.

In the heart of the manufacturing area of West Footscray stands a clock tower over an old factory.

Although now used as a head office for Forges/Dimmeys, I'm fairly sure this used to be home of Boon Spa soft drinks and cordials but not sure.

I know you could bring recycled glass back to the return depots that still exist today.

The clock has not worked for many years and the faces are stuck in a past life!!

This old clock is on the edge of Macquarie Street on the pedestrian Plaza in Parramatta, NSW. It does not have to be adjusted of daylight saving! one face shows the correct time 15:38 and the other is one hour fast at 16:38.

I have been meaning to take a photo of this clock for a long time, at last I got around to it. It is above the entrance to the small arcade that also serves as the Lithgow Railway Station entrance, so don't rely on this time piece if you want to catch a train!
The left hand side is stuck at 12:09 but the right hand side still shows the correct time 5:12(pm).
As you can see from the photo this is at 112 Main Street in Lithgow, NSW.

The clock on the Pennant Hills station has been stopped for a long time now, perhaps one day it will be fixed, in the meantime it is at least very accurate twice a day!

Cool. Finally found a stopped clock! Just by chance, I was in an old industrial estate in south Wollongong and I look up to see a clock reading 8:10 when it was about 12:30. This clock is located on an old industrial head office building in Coniston. Don't think it is occupied anymore plus the clock is hard to see from the road these days.

This clock span Katoomba Street in Katoomba opposite the Carrington, one side is working fine showing the right time 5:20pm, but the other side is frozen in time and has been so for a couple years that I know of, no sign of the local council fixing it!

A town clock near Bomaderry Railway Station on the South Coast line. It has four faces & the time on three is both incorrect & different to the others. The fourth face has no hands at all. Considered claiming it three times but it is the one clock so have just included each relevant face - both amusing & sad.

21-Jan-11
This clock tower actually shows the right time on one side, 18:55pm and is stuck on the other side at 3:32.
This is along Leura Mall almost opposite the railway station in Leura in the Blue Mountains.
Sorry about the photo but with the sun low down all I got was reflections on the GPSr, but at least the correct time is shown on one of the clock face!

No luck finding GC1XQZ6 "Stainless Art" on this day but i did notice the clock near the corner entrance to Central Station was out. Fun and games to try to get two timepieces in the frame with little camera while geofriend was getting impatient (not a GA locationless fanatic like me). That's my new boy's camo watch with compass that i use for geocaching in the photo showing 5.45 while the clock has given up just after 3.00. So here are my best efforts if they are acceptable. The clock tower on the old post office at Burwood, NSW. The building was sold about 10 years ago and has seen a wonderful old building go down the drain.

Took two attempts to get a photo, had to enlist the help of a workmate to get a shot where we could see current time compared to the clock.

Harvard Square, where it's always 5:32.

I've seen a few stopped clocks in Boston over the past four months, but I never seem to have a camera and a GPSr on me (or at least not separate ones!) when I need them. When I finally made it here with the necessary equipment, I was pleased to see that the clock was still showing exactly the same time as when I first saw it.

Thanks for the cache. I've wanted to do this one for a very long time.

I mentioned this cache to a friend of mine who knew where to direct me to log it! In the grounds of the University of NSW (UNSW) is a strange time piece many might look at and not realise is was in fact a clock. It hasnt worked for nearly 10 years apparently and is stuck at 3 o'clock. The Small disc is the hour, the large one the minutes hand. Unfortunately at night I couldn't get both the GPSr and clock in due to the flash... but you get the idea Very Happy

A town clock at the entrance to Apex Park in Berry NSW. I had just photographed a bust of Alexander Berry for another locationless & turned around to see that the clock had stopped. It was donated many years ago by a local family in honour of their father. I dare say council will attend to it at some stage but for the moment it is frozen in time. It reads 10 to 5 whereas it is 10:36 on a sunny day for a change. Thanks.

Commonwealth Bank, Kadina, SA.

We've had our eye on this clock for a while, just waiting for a visit with the GPSr and camera. The place was deserted on today's public holiday, so we were able to park the car right next to this clock.

The Kadina branch of the Commonwealth Bank is in Graves Street, which is Kadina's main street and CBD. This clock is double sided, with one side working, but showing the incorrect time, and the side that I've photographed which is permanently stuck on midday.

Although a bit blurry, the time on my GPSr is 4:08pm.

Thanks SG-3.

Hi SG-3; Went passed this one on the way to Bruny Island at the Snug Primary School on Monday about 1030hrs and it was showing 1315hrs. Damaged a thumb Monday afternoon and had a visit to the hospital on Tuesday, again passing the school about 1100hrs and noticed the time on the clock was the same. Later in the afternoon, we passed by again on our return to Bruny, its time had not changed. Returning home this morning, I decided to photograph and log it. This one, not being too old, may be fixable in the future. TFTC and cheers; OldSaint.

WanderingAus wandered by on day 70 of our annual Climatic Refugee trip, heading from Bowen to Mackay, and stopped for morning tea in Proserpine at one of our favourite bakeries. While enjoying the best LARGE apple turnover with cream of the trip so far (rated above about 15 other lesser ones) I noticed this clock across the road. I could see two faces, the left face was on the correct time, which was 10:28 AM, and the right face was on 3:47. After finishing morning tea, I returned to the geoPajero, grabbed the gpsr and the camera, and closed in on the clock tower. By the time I took the close-up of the two faces it was 10:41 AM, which was correctly reported by the left face. The right face was still showing 3:47.

Found this clock tower in Lyon Street, Carlton, Vic.
Funny enough the place is called the 'Clock Tower Apartments' Clever.
We passed at 11.33 as I have put the property details on screen. I use an Oregon 550, which has my camera in it.

Not able to find anything out as to why the clock is stopped at 12:00. Maybe to much money to keep running, or repair

WanderingAus wandered by on day 45 of our annual 'Climatic Refugee' trip, looking for a parking area to join the WanderingMrs (aka SWMBO) at the Reef Casino for lunch, and parked near this clock, but I didn't even notice it. About an hour later, while hunting down GC24J9W W.A.M. is on the job. by WhatsAMap, I noticed the clock on the top of a passenger terminal building beside the Cairns Wharf. The time was about 1:00 PM, and I wasn't sure whether the clock was showing a bit past 12 or 1 o'clock, so I kept walking. On my return I didn't notice the clock again as I was walking in the wrong direction.

2622337678.jpg

Almost 3 hours later, returning from the Reef Casino to the car, I saw the clock again, and took some photos. In the left portion the clock is very fuzzy but the time on my gpsr shows 15:39, which is enlarged in the next segment. The next segment shows the time on the gpsr as 15:40. The final segment shows the time on the clock as 12:03 PM.

A massive contrast from the cab that had been barrell rolled - every panel dented, windscreen broken & still lined up to take passsengers for a ride (of their life probably)

Wonderful weather here today...

Now back to join the non caching part of my family for a shore excursion for the day...

This was once the clock for the original bus depot in Canberra. These days the place only comes alive on the weekends for markets when shoppers don't care so much what the time is. As you can see there are at least 3 clockfaces, one timeless (no hands), 2 others with in-correct times!

Delete the log. The GPSr is MINE. The cache description clearly says the photo must be of YOUR GPSr. (The arm is mine too, come to think of it!) Wink

Was in Bendigo after the Mega Event, and did a great cache called "A Lonely Tree" (GCM3F1). While atop the tower we could see what turns out to be the old Post Office, now "affectionately" called Pall Mall News & Lotto. The clock face facing us was clearly showing 12 o'clock, and it was 5:26pm at the time! Watched for a while, and that side at least appeared not to change, so I'm logging it! After all, who's going to stop me?!?! Photo not as clear as I would have liked, but not bad for a camera phone.

So, will the owner allow this, or be mean and delete it... we will have to wait and see.

As my gps is also my camera I used my watch in the photo and hope that will suffice.

We found this clock at the Sunbury Train station.

Thanks for the cache.

WanderingAus wandered by on day 55 of a "climatic refugee" trip and after driving past this clock at least 60 times finally stopped at a time where the standing still was obvious, 4 PM NT time. This clock is located in front of a small commercial centre at the corner of Dick Ward Drive and Caryota Court in Nightcliff, Darwin NT.

This shows the North clock face. Note the long shadows, not found near midday in Darwin at any time of the year.

This is the South clock face, with the clock more in focus and the bonus of WanderingAus reflected in the gpsr.
My find No 1608, TNLNSL.

Capalaba Central Shopping Centre.

I noticed this is the second clock in Capalaba to be logged here that is not working.

I dont know how long this one has worked but it has been a few years. They have been expanding the shopping centre and the clock tower is slowly being covered up the extensions, so it was a hard to get a decent shot at the right angle.

It was 4pm when the shot was taken and the two faces we could see were showing 8:50 and 2:30.

Depending on which platform my train arrives at, I either walk under this location or past it. I noticed a while ago that both clocks have stopped.

It's on the busy intersection of George and Pitt St in Sydney's CBD. Note the left clock read 12.40, the right is 3.00, while the GPSr is showing 8.31.

We have driven past a clock in Hamilton in Brisbane that has four clock faces each displaying a different time about a dozen times over the past year but we have always been in a taxi so have been unable to get the required photo .Recently I found this one at the Grand Central Hotel while we were in Brisbane for my son “digger†to have more surgery.
Due to surrounding buildings and overcast conditions ,I could get no satellite reception at all so I have included my watch in the photo to show the actual time, 2.20, while the clock shows 4.45. The listed co-ordinates are from the upper level a short distance away. The history below is plagiarised directly from the internet. Thanks SG-3 for arranging this cache.

Brisbane Central is the central railway station for the QR City Train rail network of Brisbane, Queensland Australia. The first station building was a wood and corrugated iron structure, opened on August 18, 1889 as part of the line running from Central to Roma Street Station.
In 1901 an elegant new station was constructed at Central with arches of corrugated iron over the platforms and a portico on Ann Street. Both of these features were later sacrificed to progress, but during this period the original railway refreshment rooms were constructed.
In 1965 with the renovations complete a new Hotel named ‘Fihelly's Arms' opened for business, taking over the job of the refreshment rooms and servicing the people of Brisbane with cold beers, warm conversation and excellent food.
In 2005 the establishment was renamed ‘Grand Central Hotel’ with the addition of a gaming parlour, ‘The Dining Car’ restaurant and the ‘Platform Bar’. Today it is a thriving landmark Hotel, providing a truly unique experience for all patrons.
The ‘new’ hotel continues to be the central meeting place for city workers, train travellers and local residents. The food is first class, the beers are cold, the big screens provide entertainment and information and the welcome is always very friendly.
PS. They have $2 pots between 5pm and 6pm weekdays.

Hooray! Thank you Red Tag! It was getting to a stage where I was going to log that one myself; it was THAT clock that actually inspired the cache in the first place, but I wanted one with a bit more history (and glad I found the wondrous one I found)!

I still know of three more within 25km of Hobart CBD, and at least one in West Ryde, NSW (unless they've fixed it in the last 20 years Smile )

Hobart, Tas.
While crossing a busy intersection in the city (well as busy as our intersections get) clever Mr red tag noticed that the time on the large clock on the corner was wrong. We waited for a while just to make sure it wasn't just slow and just having a bad day, but it had well and truly stopped. The actual time was 12.16pm and is just visible on the GPS.
Thanks for the cache SG-3

After going to the Meet the Spindoctors Event in Hobart we took a leisurely approach on the way home and stopped in Campbell Town for an ice cream,
We noticed the clock in the Town Hall but after checking the time to see if it had stopped decided it was only 5mins fast,
While sitting in the shade enjoying our ice creams it was time to keep heading North,
Looking up at the clock to see what time it was we noticed the time on the clock hadn't moved so it was time to pull out the camera,
Unfortunately the photo that was supposed to show the time we took the photo did not turn out so we will take another and post it the next time we go past,
nobody seemed to know when the clock stopped but will try to find out on our next visit, Thanks SG-3

Found this in Collie WA on a work trip. Walked past the council chambers at night and noticed the clock was very wrong (only had the mobile to get a pic with so it has been enhanced a bit to bring out the detail). Returned the following morning to get a better shot with the camera (which didn't focus correctly on the zoom but the detail is still there) and a wide angle shot of the building with GPS in shot.

So the Collie Council has some close to home problems!

Lismore PO clock tower clock has not been working for a number of years. It is always midday or midnight (take your pick)
A nice old building.

Finally found one! The only catch is that I had trouble getting a photograph that showed both the GPSr AND the clock, as the clock was too far away to show the time clearly while at the same time showing my GPSr. So, I have been forced to doctor the photo, but since the cache owner was actually with me at the time he can verify that both faces of the clock were both wrong AND stopped (which was not true of the last erroneous clock that I found). The location of this frozen clock is Mt St Canice, an historic complex of buildings in Sandy Bay Tasmania dating from the 1890s. In the past it was a reformatory for fallen women and also a home for neglected children; currently it is administrative buildings for the Catholic church, and I believe parts of it are about to be a nursing home). One of the faces of the clock is stuck at noon, the other shortly after 11; at the time the photo was taken it was actually 4:20pm or so. Coordinates are for where I took the photo from. Nice idea for a cache, SG-3.

The post office at Guildford, down the road from us, has this clock on multiple sides of its tower, all stopped at 5:00.

Bother. Thought I had a beauty, but it turns out to be a case of time being warped but still moving. This is a clock-tower outside "Ye Olde Lodge", a residence (?) which has now been converted into flats, on the corner of Royal Parade/Sydney Rd and Park St on the Parkville/Brunswick border in Melbourne. All four faces show different times (and I don't think any of them are correct), but at least two faces are still running. I wasn't there long enough when I first took the photo to realise this; it was only when I got home that I noticed that the two photos I had were possibly showing slightly different times. When I finally got back there today to check, sure enough, the times were different from what I'd seen a week ago. Maybe I should set up a Time Warp gca cache!

Located on the Cnr of Quay & George Streets in Central, Sydney.
We unexpectedly had a day in Sydney after our flight to Norfolk Island was delayed. Caught the train into Circular Quay and saw some sights by walking through the Rocks, Darling Harbour over to Central Station. Spotted this frozen in time clock on the way.

Congratulations on your FTF, D J GeoDog Rascal! Gotta say that it is tricky to photograph, but the shadows and light are definitely saying it isn't 6:05, AM or PM!

When I first saw this one come online I thought to myself "I don`t think I`ll ever get to log this one", but as it happens I was off to Beechworth to check up on a cache I placed and not yet listed.
On finishing lunch I looked breifly at the clock upon the post office (across the road from the original Beechworth Bakery) and realised it was set on the wrong time. I took the picture, and returned later to check if clock has indeed stopped, and it was still stuck on 6:05.

I don`t know how long this time peice has been at a stand still, I`ve never really taken much notice of it.

Sorry about the photo, I couldn`t get the camera to focus on the GPS screen properly, and the sunlight was reflecting off it so it was hard to see. Next time I am there I will try again. The photo was taken at 1335 hours.
