Description
A creek crossing to stop for.....!
After enjoying a beer at the Walkabout Creek Hotel, I was headed south towards home with a group of caching mates when we crossed this unnamed creek and wondered if it just might be Walkabout Creek. Didn't come to any firm conclusions, but decided that a cache would be in order to justify a stop to stretch one's legs on the long haul from McKinlay to Kynuna and points further south. Please feel free to ponder as we did when you stop off for the cache and include your conclusions, if any, in your log.
(Sol de lune, albida33 and fitzy_1965 were present when the cache was placed and will log their finds once the FTF has been claimed).

GCA 2,083. Finally this one has been found !
I was part of the team who was present when the cache was laid last year during our NT/QLD/NSW tour centered around the Alice Springs event. Now that the first find has occurred its time for my log.

Alice trip 2017. Day 27. Today Sol de Lune, Luckyl10n, Fitzy_1965 and I traveled from Charlieville to Nyngen. A long day on the road with not much caching to do. I had to make sure there was at least one cache for me to find today.
I was here when the cache was placed, so not it has been found I am claiming my find.
Thanks.
Albida

Heading home from the Alice Springs event and a few days in Darwin in April 2017 with LuckyL10n, fitzy_1965 and Albida33, we decided that the outback roads of Queensland need a few Geocaching Australia caches to give cachers something to stop for and to also have a break from the long drives between towns.
Of the caches placed and published, this one remains unfound after 12 months so I am now claiming a find, although NOT claiming any first to find status. Hopefully the cache will be found sometime in the near-ish future and someone will get that first to find.
As for the cache, this could be Walkabout Creek....but if you are heading north....make sure you stop at the namesake pub. If you're a first time visit, it is certainly worth a visit....and make sure you ask the guys/girls behind the bar to see the 'knife'.
Thanks LuckyL10n...
