Description
Should be a simple find in a lovely location.
While driving south after a caching trip with Albida33, LuckyL10n and Sol de Lune we thought we'd add a few caches along the more empty areas to encourage people to stop for a rest and revive and survive !!
This cache is tastefully located in a lovely cemetery in Winton. Not very difficult to find.
Please re-cover well to ensure this cache lasts.
Happy Hunting !!
My traveling mates will be claiming a find as they were with me when it was placed, but of course they will not be claiming the first to find.

Logs
While in Winton today we looked for this cache. Unfortunately there has been a clean up in this section of the cemetery and the tree and its neighbour have been removed and only two very small stumps remain. No room for a cache here.
Perhaps this one should be archived.

Nothing there. Found the rocks pulled up inside the fork. Removed them all but no cache.
Hope GZ is cacher friendly because I had to get fairly huggy with it to get the cache. A perfectly quiet day at the LKA which is good from everyone's perspective. TFTC fitzy_1965.

Ok so sometimes the driver has to get out and do the finding. SG eventually arrived with the pen and we both signed the log. Cache is new and well hidden.

After a lovely morning tea at the local bakery - I knew we shouldn't stay in towns - TG47 and I came to grab the last two caches in town. He had found it before I had even started towards GZ with the pen. Thanks for another good LKA fitzy_1965 and to Roostaman for the new container. All good here. SL

In the area for 3 days and this was the next on our radar. Went to where the Hints indicated and noticed a lot of rocks in the fork of the tree and a golf ball but no cache container. Searched around for awhile looking at other trees but the GPSr wanted me back at this tree. Only one thing to do. Replace the cache. New container and log sheet in place again covered by the rocks in the fork of the tree.

TFTC. Well the Outback Festival is over and people are leaving town. We still have a few day before we begin our journey slowly south. Before the day gets too hot we drove out to the cemetery. Prior to caching we had explored this cemetery and used the self guided walk. This morning we noted that the cemetery is still well maintained and neat and tidy. A fitting tribute to past residents. A quick easy find and then the refuge of the air con,
Alice trip 2017. Day 25. Today Sol de Lune, Luckyl10n, Fitzy_1965 and I left Winton and headed further southeast to Longreach to look around town then on to Barcaldine to finish the local caches there. Great to be there when this cache was placed.
Thanks

With the first to find now claimed, we can claim our find as well.....
Great that we could place a few new Geocaching Australia caches in outback Queensland to help boost our numbers out here. Hopefully others can use these caches to break up the drive through the area....and enjoy the area at the same time.

It has been a long and pleasurable drive from Alice Springs to get here
I hope they don't get around to sealing it all the way !!
That would ruin the adventure and turn it into a long, boring drive ...
... like the Barkly Highway is
Mid morning I arrived in towne and set off on a cache guided tour
First stop ?
The cemetery of course
A surprisingly large cemetery with a great deal of history buried here.
Brochures are provided at the gate to guide you around some of the notable graves.
And out the back of the stones,
I soon tracked down the cache among the stones
