The Big Western Australia trip in 2018. Day 10. The night on the side of the Highway was interrupted continually by ridiculously noisy trucks. Oh well. North again and a lot of driving. Tennant Creek and a puncture were the high lights. I ended up at Daly Waters for the night.

Before heading over to the pub I stopped by here to get the answers for this cache. Great old spot from the past.

Thanks

Heading south from Katherine and stopped in for a look. Lots of information that makes me realise how much things have changed, and how quickly.

Love the old hangar, a Sidney Williams bolted together steel frame clad in galvanised iron. Light, durable, easy to erect. This is the biggest one I know of.

And good to see the airfield operational again. My recollection is that when I last visited in about 1995, it was officially closed.

It's a beaut spot.

Travelling southbound today we had planned to stop at Gorrie Airfield, but somehow the 'Barra' was calling from Daly Waters pub so sure enough 4.30pm we were back at the pub.

Far busier here than when we were here 2 months ago. We were parked in the overflow area but still able to book in for dinner.

Once unhitched we headed to this cache. Wow oh wow, we visited this hangar last time we were here, but never saw these signboards. Brick Wall

So glad to learn of this cache and thus read the extra info and history.

Thanks for placing such a great cache.
