Description
I hope that you enjoy the caches and that you take the oppotunity to Stop, Rest and Revive during your travels
SRR - Attack Creek
This is a simple micro located in the shade of the structure at GZ. Its an eclypse mint container and is not aimed at being hard to find.
This area is nothing special, infact at times the area can become somewhat messy, particularily in the wet season when cleaners rarely visit. Nevertheless it is still a well needed break along the long and lonely Stuart Highway.

My second DNF here. Last time I couldn't search properly, as one of the picnic tables had a picnic spread out on it. Today the tables were clear, although I needed to explain what I was doing to a group of people there, and one kept me company and chatted while I climbed up and methodically searched "up there" with a mirror, so as to see better. I could not find a cache. Last found in 2017, five years ago. DNF...again .
Heading North after attending The Red Centre Experience Event.

Three lots of travellers in the park, sitting in the shade on the other side of their vehicles, all with GZ cut off from their view ......freaky, but good. You know it's a great little hide when it has some identical paint as the GZ! TFTC TeamGeoPlesk.

Alice trip 2017. Day 15. After a great time in the Red center it was time to push north. Today took us from Tennant creek to Mataranka. This was one of several road side stops along the way.
Thanks

#GA1509 - 10:00; Day 17 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune, albida33 and fitzy_1965. After a night in Tennant Creek we were now headed north along the Stuart Highway for Mataranka with some stops along the way for a host of trigs. It was nice to be able to grab this cache when we stopped off to stretch our legs at this memorial. TFTC TeamGeoPlesk

Geocaching Australia (GCA) Cache Find Number 1379. Found during Day 7 of my epic 21 day visit to Alice Springs for the Red Centre Experience Event and further travels after that.
Flew into Alice Springs and met up with my fellow intrepid team members Sol de Lune, Albida33 and LuckyL10n for the start of an amazing trip throughout the Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales and eventually back to Canberra. The Red Centre Experience is the main attraction of course, but also on our agenda are a lot of GC Caches, lots of trigs, as well as plenty of GCA Trads, History and Virtual Caches (and maybe the odd beer or two ??!! Smile. Go Clan Cerberus !
Another Trad for the trip while heading north. We stopped at Attack Creek to look around and grab some caches. Some nice history around here. Lots of piccies taken. Then it was back in the car and off to the next one !
Another great location visited during our journey.

On the way to Darwin with LuckyL10n, fitzy_1965 and albida33 from Tennant Creek and today was a day of trig finding. However this was one of a couple of traditionals we found. No problems and the cache was soon in hand.

Despite a lack of recent love we found the cache snug & dry in it's hidey hole. Timing our visit whilst we had the spot to ourselves certainly helped. Thanks TeamGeoPlesk.

I searched the northern end only. The other end had a picnic spread over the table. I had to explain what I was doing and I suspect they thought I was a little mad. Only later I wondered if there were hollow metal structure frames and I should have looked there. Anyway, a DNF.
A couple of muggles were sitting at gz, but we were determined not to let this one go unfound by us again. On our last visit 3 years ago we were muggled out but not this time. The muggles have friends who geocache and when they saw us with a GPS they knew exactly what we were up to!! We quickly located this container exactly where we thought it was 3 years ago. Expecting an eclipse tin but found a bison tube though. Thanks.
Day 5 of my trek up to Darwin for the V8 Supercars. Today took me from Tennant Creek to Mataranka. TFTC.
Another DNF today on our way out of Daly Waters towards 3 Ways
On our Central Aust leg of our Round Aust trip
(visit link)
Had a good look, all around the shelter, even stood on tables to look up higher, no luck with this one.

Way too many muggles there late in afternoon to even attempt this one. Pity cause we had a good lock on the location. Thanks.
Found this one by accident, as i was looking for a spot to hide my own cache.
cache not listed on GC. haha

Very quick find, right under the nose of some grey nomads, who thought we were leaving messages for friends.

Found on the Bucket Trip on our way to Mataranka. Mr Morris wandered off to the amenities while Lady Morris looked, located and was signing the log when a muggle appeared from her van and proceeded to eat her breakfast at the next table. And of course chatted away. Mr Morris realising what had happened wandered around to the other side and engaged her in conversation, allowing Lady Morris to replace the cache unobserved. We had visions of being there for some time. TF this series which has provided us with some interesting stops along the way.
Found it!
Glad too as I need the attached facilities - urgently;
Took Nothing - as there was nothing there - Left Poodle.

A nice easy find, after confiding in 4 Grey nomads who were most intrigued, this shelter wasnt here the last time we passed thru. In fact the only thing here then (about 10 years ago) was the water tank.

First find on trip to Darwin on the Harleys to the Ulysses Club Odyssey. The Reluctant Companion had a quick find - jumped in and grabbed the cache before the GPS booted up. What a great idea to hide caches at several places along this highway. It was a welcome diversion. A grey nomad muggle gave us heartache as we were unable to sign the log until we made all sorts of excuses - then we were unable to re hide the log until we thought he was gone. However when we got back to the bikes there he was ready for another chat. TNLN. TFTC.
WanderingAus wandered by on day forty-eight of a 6 month trip Wandering Australia and made an easy find, but due to high muggle activity I had to wait a couple of hours before grabbing it. I retired to a distance to complete the log, and on returning a couple of minutes later another muggle was sitting looking straight towards GZ, so I took it back to the caravan (at the other end of the camping area), and was able to safely return it in total darkness at 9:00 PM,
My find No 630, LCC, TNLNSL, grabbed Pathtag, dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing it back again.

Pulled over just up the road with an overwidth load of macinery bound for the Bootu Mine (10 Km North of Banka Banka, about 40 Km North of the cache). Escort driver had a bad case of diarrhoea and pulled in to use the facilities, so I walked the couple of hundred metres to find the cache, and when he emerged I told him I was concerned when he took so long - like I cared, but he gave me a lift back to the truck anyway.
Thanks, Bill.
Thanks, Bill.
I was lucky that there was no one there but it was a nice easy find and a good chance for a break.

Yeehaa my second FTF - as stated it was an easy one but still fun. Unfortunately 2 German tourists were camped at GZ so we had to let them in on the secret as I wasn't driving passed without looking - as I will NEVER be back this way - it's "A BLOODY LONG WAY" and I think we have done it enough for my lifetime. Do like the history connection with all these caches - we often follow explorers' travels when we are out in these remote areas - how did they do it?? and more importantly WHY did they?? I'm glad they did though - I LOVE Aus.
