Description

A traditional cache at Barkly Homestead.

Barkly Homestead has been compared to an oasis. Situated between the Queensland border town, Camooweal, and Tennant Creek in NT, Barkly is a remote roadhouse. With plenty of large parking, this is a great place to take a break from the long stretches of driving and find a cache.

You are looking for an eclipse tin with log and pencil.

Please use stealth.

Great location. We have been north from here and west this time.

I looked about, but with the coordinates on the lawn and nothing there that the cache could be “under”, I didn’t know where to look. I expanded the search, but really I couldn’t find any under things. The boulders didn’t have unders, having dirt packed under them. I looked in the lights, etc. DNF.

Heading west from Camooweal we decided to stop for the night at Barkly Homestead. Luckily Mr T spotted this without too much trouble. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC

Tassie Trekkers

Stopped at Barkly Homestead and found your cache on our way to Tennant Creek. Found container but no log - added a new log sheet in a ziplock bag.
