Description

Stop and rest a while here.....

I was out and about caching with Sol de lune when we drove past this nice little roadside stop and decided it would be an ideal place to put a cache out.  Unfortunately on the first pass it was occupied by the road works gangs upgrading the highway nearby.

On the second pass, it was much later and although the area was still in use, all of the muggle workers had gone home and we had the area to ourselves!

The cache itself is located at the western end of the rest area near the start of the Box Track.  After logging the cache you can head back onto the highway or go bush.  The choice is yours.

(Sol de lune was with me when I placed this cache and will log a find once the first to find has been claimed).

Heading to Ararat for a few days. Out and about caching for the day. Lovin' life, coffees and caches, waymarks and photos, taking the roads less travelled. Smile
Does it get any better than travelling this great land of ours? Dancing
Area starting to look a bit like the local dump. Armco has been hit but still contains the hiding spot.
Thanks for the cache LuckyL10n and for the excuse to stretch the ol' legs. Clapping

I stopped by here for a nice quick find of this one at 15:55 while on the way up the Grampians for tomorrow's bushwalk. There were a couple of bikers enjoying the rest stop but they were down at the other end and took no notice of my extra-drivicular activities. WinkVery Happy

A very easy drive by cache with great safe parking for the campervan. Mr Beetle grabbed this one while I loaded the next.
After departing the Spirit of Tasmania this morning we are in a hurry to head west and just grabbing a few caches along the way.
We love supporting the GCA caches and so far two of the four we have got have been Australian.
Thanks.

Found today while doing a maintenance run on some of our other caches in the area.
A nice quick find. No muggles parked anywhere which made it a nice cruisey run.

Congrats to 2y'stassies for the first to find. Now they have made the initial find, I log my find as well.

Neat little spot Beaufort and this walking track looks like it is well use. May get back there one day to explore a bit further.

Thanks for the cache.

We noticed this cache come up as a newly published cache yesterday evening after returning from Wozzle68's birthday celebratìon.

We had been in Beaufort several days before and had not intended to return so soon. One of our goals for this trip was to complete the caches around lake Burrumbeet. This plan was originally abhorted as we headed to Mount Beekworth hunting a FTF. We had planned to go back to lake Burrumbeet this morning as the weather was fine.

After completing the caches at Lake Burrumbeet in good time we decided that we had sufficient time to continue to back track to Beaufort to look for this cache. Fortunately the cache was located several kilometres to the east of Beaufort so our journey was slightly shorter.

When we pulled up in the rest area it was empty. We were able to quickly locate the cache in its secure hide. To our delight the FTF spot was blank. This gave us a FTF at 10:55. The container and contents were in excellent condition.

We did not have enough time to explore the near by reserve so we will have to add that to our to do list for future trips through this area.

Thanks for this cache LuckyL10n. We hope it gets a lot of visits before Boxing Day.
