Description
Dedicated to the extremities of Australia
The idea of this cache is to find the extremities of Australia.
This can be geographical, such as the most northerly point of Australia (mainland)
Or, it can be a landmark such as the highest town in Australia.
Or, something like Australia's Southern most pub!!
Let your imagination run wild...there are many ways to complete this cache.
Some other examples are the highest bowls club at Guyra,
Lamberts geographical centre of Australia, the most south/west/easterly
point of Australia, Mt Kosciuszko, etc.
To log a find for this cache you must post a photo with either:-
A sign describing the location, or
Photo of co-ordinates on GPS and a photo of the surrounding area and a note
on the significance of the area.

Thanks for the challenge
The Torres Strait Hotel's claim is 'Australia's Top Pub'.
Thanks Geoscrubbers
At the top of the range on the NSW Northern Tablelands is Guyra with the highest caravan park in Australia. During winter this would undoubtedly be the coldest caravan park in Australia as well.....but who doesn't love some fresh mountain air, especially with the heater blasting away on high!

Situated on the Northern Tablelands of NSW, Armidale is the highest city in Australia and now has a brand new sign to boast it. Armidale's elevation is between 980 and 1,110 metres, depending whether you're on a hill or dale.

Found this sign on the way to Huonville, Tasmania today after caching on Mount Wellington.
The sign says it all!
TFTC and cheers

The cairn is located on picnic hill, which provides good views from Cape William Grant to Cape Nelson. The Cape Nelson wind farm can also be seen, and heard from the look out.
A Cairn erected here marks this as the most southern point reached during the expedition.
Thanks for the bonus cache at this GC cache site (GC1KGAN).
Roostaman.
You arrive at the top of the chairlift and then walk almost straight into the restaurant. We only had a bit of morning tea, but the views (and the chairlift ride) are well worth the visit.
Thanks for the fun locationless.....
We pushed on for another km through the campground until the road REALLY ends. Then we found what was once the southernmost GC cache in Tasmania (now second most). Just realised there was a GCA cache not far away but it's got DNFs against it anyway.
Two photos: sign at western end (S32 27.181 e123 57.197); sign at eastern end (S32 16.190 E125 29.041) have been added to the gallery.
A pleasant days outing for any cacher, pair or family; is to take this epic train ride and see the flora and fauna as you travel along the 2ft guage to Deep Bay. TFTC and cheers; OldSaint.
Third cache is 3 minutes... Cape Byron Trig, Cape Byron Lighthouse, Most Eastern Point! How's that for a GCA trifecta? Absolutely perfect day here in Byron, and as I have cleared out all the regular caches I needed to get creative... enter the Locationless!
Chees from Sydney
The hotel is nowhere near Tully Falls, but it is at an elevation of 916 metres or 3,003.99 feet.

It is the most westerly point you can go in Tasmania before all that is left is ocean all the way to Argentina.
It is also very windy here!
That's the Trig point at Byron Bay went right out near to the end of the mainland but didn't log it
Had a great time fantastic views!
Don't know when I will be able to log any other extremes though.
The goal of the Great Cape York adventure - and there are way to many stories to tell! You will just have to look at the photos.
Mount Nameless in Tom Price - 4WD only.
This mountain (hill to you east-coasters) is right in Tom Price, and there is a very nice 4WD track driving up it. When we got to the top there was 8 or 9 army vehicles up there, with learner drivers, practising on the 4WD-ing. Unfortunately this meant it also took us half an hour to get down....
Nice views from up here. Thanks for the cache!
1) It was rush hour when Winglen's photo was taken. A girls school from Victoria had just entered.
2) It's the bulky clothing in my photo not my girth
TFTC and the chance to walk to Kossie. (Okay that's a bit of a stretch.)
We were actually collecting photos to do the very same cache, knew it was a great idea!
We visited Byron Bay in April this year and walked to the most eastern point.
