This was another cache we found on our way to Barcaldine. Unfortunately the container has become very brittle and the bottom has broken. The plastic bag that protected the log has disintegrated. Fortunately the log sheet was fine. After signing the log we put it in a new ziploc bag and put this in a mint tin. as we didn't have a large enough container to replace the broken container. The mint tin then went in the broken outer container. This went back into the stump. Hopefully This will keep the cache in play until a new container can be put in place.

Thanks for this cache Tassie Trekkers. We hope the next visitor can bring fruit jar size container to replace the brittle on.

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 144. Barcaldine Day 4. I went for another long drive today. Starting with back to Aramac to do the Lake Dunn sculpture trail loop. I returned to Barcaldine in the early afternoon to try to finish my caching around town, but it was about a fifty fifty affair, and then it started raining and did not stop all night. Forty mm by breakfast.

The first wave of heavy rain had passed, so I pulled up here to look for and find this cache.

Thanks for the cache Tassie Trekkers

Well it has taken 9 days but I have made it to the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster, but I was 26 finds shy of 20000. Spent the afternoon getting 25 finds so that the QOGM 2018 event would be the 20000 milestone. Luckily 20 were published north of Barcy this morning as this made the task a lot easier. TFTC. A lazy start to the day and after morning tea we set out with a picnic lunch to pick up some caches that have been released since we were here a few weeks ago.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for us to find Tassie Trekkers.
Off to the next one. SL Doh
