Description
Inspired by the self isolation imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic, here is a cache you can find from home.
Like it or loathe it, the humble mint tin is the backbone of urban geocaching. To log this cache, you will need to post a photo of you finding a mint tin somewhere around your home. To be valid, the photo must include a mint tin and at least part of your body.
This cache can only be logged once, but in your log you are welcome to post as many photos as you like.
Tip: Displaying Photos In Your Log
Geocaching Australia logs present a little differently to those you may be used to. The default is for you to need to view any uploaded photos by clicking the camera icon at the top right of each log entry. The following steps will enable your photos to be displayed directly in your log:
- Create your log and upload any images with it
- In your posted entry, click on the far right camera icon (view gallery)
- Scroll to the bottom of the page to see your thumbnail images and click on one to open a pop up image with the title and (click for details) underneath
- Follow the click for details link
- You now have 5 choices of code for embedding the image
- Copy the code for the second option: Cache/Web pages (HTML thumbnail with link) and return all the way back to the cache page
- Paste the code into your log by choosing the pencil icon (edit log)

Locationless Cache Wiki Information
Armchair style Locationless caches where the finder is not required to explore the real world, identify a location and accompany the 'Find' with photographic evidence are no longer accepted.
A Locationless cache listing must require the finder to locate an object or perform a task in the real world, collect the co-ordinates and log the find with accompanying photographic evidence.
The geocaching community would like to thank you for listing this Locationess geocache and congratulations to all that found this locationless geocache.
As the geocache no longer meets the requirements we will archive the cache listing.
It did not take very long to do.

Plenty of ammo cans but barely a mint tin in sight.
Found a mint bottle.
Then a pic of me with a mint necklace.
Eventually a mint tin was discovered, hiding in a tub of other junk.
Thanks for the cache Mister Doctor
Mainly as cache replacements for one of my particuliar caches.
Much to some peoples annoyance
I find the spot gets muggled from time to time and this size fits the replacement.

Thanks Mister Doctor
So we didn't put it out and then COVID happened and we still haven't got round to dealing with it.
Maybe this weekend.
Thanks.
One day soon ))
This one was a bonus with a short walk around the yard to make a find.
This sneaky one was camo'd and hiding in the usual place, behind some bark.
Thanks for the brain exercise and the cache Mister Doctor,
Roostaman.
I will admit I own a few 'out in the field' and took on a few more when I adopted about 55 geocaches
TFTC
Thanks Mister Doctor
I was at an event a few months ago and a fellow cacher wanted to get rid of some containers. I happily grabbed the Ammo Can on offer - and found it to be full of mint tins ! The only decision I have is will this make up one future cache or 30 ??
TFTC !!

Don’t forget that you can add your photo to your log entry. See above for instructions.
It was going to be placed somewhere in particular, but proximity issues ruled it out.
Ever since, it's been sitting in my room waiting for the day that I stumble across somewhere else suitable.
Thanks to Mister Doctor for the locationless!

Thanks Mister Doctor....the first of few Locationless for the month.
Always have a mint tin at home!
Here are three in various states of preparation to go out into the field as geocaches
TFTC and cheers

So here is the mint tin in a safe place when I located it in my “office”
It was lucky that I happen to have a full tin of mints in my car! In light of the time, I thought it appropriate to share my find with my contribution to Australia’s Bear Hunt. I’m not sure about you, but around my local area it has been great to see how many families are participating in the bear hunt around the local area.
For those who are not sure what the bear hunt is all about...Children across Melbourne are placing teddy bears in their front windows in a nod to the much-loved 1989 children's book, “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt”. The movement is adding smiles to the faces of little ones as they go for walks to beat the boredom of isolation during the coronavirus pandemic.

I picked uo this mint tin at Melbourne Zoo a few years ago. I had planned to use it as part of my GC "Bird" series somehow.
This Mint Tin of the Orange-Bellied Parrot was released as part of an endangered Fighting Extinction series.
I wont be painting this one black!
Photo with our Trip Mascot and TB "Bowra" on the back verandah. No trips for Bowra in the near future.
