Description

When we published "GA14926 A Book Title", we intended that it be a "one off" cache. However following numerous representations to make book titles into a series, we have decided to do so. Today we will publish B to E and then the next letter daily after that. Enjoy

To log a find on this cache, you are required to

  • post a photo of a book you have at home where the title starts with the letter C
  • the photo must include something on the book or next to the book which identifies you (eg pathtag, sign with caching name etc)

Our example is "Catch 22" by Jospeh Heller and our photo is

It is time to check your bookshelves or rummage around in boxes.

Chopper From The Inside by Mark Brandon Read is my C book.

Good ole chopper was happy to put pen to paper on a few chapters of non fiction semi autobiography.

But there was always a twist of fiction somewhere.

He bacame a pretty popular author for a crim.

Sadly passed away a few years ago so no more laughs.

Ok

Matthew Reilly is my Favourite Author. The Scarecrow series and Jack West Jr series are great

Contest by Matthew Reilly is a stand alone book.

I would suggest to start with Ice Station by Matthew Reilly as the first book to read by the author

At the end of last year I had to get rid of a whole lot of things which included a whole lot of books. The few that remain are significant to me. I listen to a lot of audio books now.

Capture: 30 days of inspiration
I like this book because it is also a journal. It encourages you to look and think outside the box. It gives you creative inspiration when you are feeling dull. I enjoyed this so much when I first read it (when it was released) that I bought it as Christmas presents for family members. In my mind, that was worth way more than the price tag.

Found this book on my bookshelves. Title of the book: Captain Underpants Very Happy TFTLC

Captain Underpants!

The story revolves around two best friends called George Beard and Harold Hutchins who like to pull pranks and jokes on anyone and sometimes even on everyone. They also created many comic books, one of which was called 'Captain Underpants'! This obviously gets them in lots of trouble and (quote from the book) 'once it got them into BIG trouble'. (I'm not going to spoil the prank, read the book to find out what it was.) Silenced When they were taken to the principal office, Mr Krupp sat down with the boys and gave them some rules to follow and if they broke any of them they would be EXPELLED from school. After a few weeks George and Harold decided, NO MORE. With this decision, they bought a '3-D Hypno Ring' to hypnotize Mr Krupp and to bring some joy back into their lives. After the basics such as turning him in to a chicken and a monkey, they decided on attempting a different character for him to imitate. Captain Underpants! This is where the fun and joy begins for both the characters in the book and for us as the reader. I'll stop talking now, Silenced so you can discover the laughter for yourself. Laughing

Ratings:
This book: 5/5 Very Happy
Series: 4.5/5 Very Happy (There are 12 books in this set)
Movie: 3.5/5 Very Happy

I was laughing out loud (LOL) for quite a lot because of these books. The reasons for these ratings is because I loved this book and a few of the other ones in the set. The ones I didn't enjoy as much is because they didn't make sense, not funny enough and/or didn't fit in with the story. This is why the lower rating for the series. As for the movie it was clever how they merged three stories into one but I prefer the books. TFTLC Very Happy

Cyclone!
Christmas in Darwin 1974

This book is about Cyclone Tracy which I went through when I was 10 years old. We had only arrived in June 1974 6 months BT (before Tracy). We had lived in a caravan until early December before we moved into a flat above where mum and dad worked. Thankfully this is where we rode out Tracy.

This is my first logging of an A-Z book cache. It's going to be really interesting to see what other books people choose/find/photograph. I had a quick hunt around the place last night and found a "C" - A Choose Your Own Adventure - Cup of Death. Not near a classic as Catch-22 Laughing (which I have and started to read once, but I didn't get too far before something that must have been shinier caught my attention). I chose this book because I didn't know it was there on the bookshelf, didn't know I had it, don't know how it got there. I had a read through last night and got knocked out by an old lady's handbag. Then drowned in a car. Then risked my life to save a 'fake' cup haha.

Oh and the cup in the photo - Luke and Darth, "Galaxies Best Dad" LaughingTwisted Evil TFTLC! Very HappyLaughingQuestionDancingThinkClan GriffinClan PhoenixClan CerberusClan Minotaur

Being full time on the road we don’t have room for too many books but fortunately we had bought a few at recent markets etc so had some we could use. We usually recycle them in caravan park laundries and op shops as we travel but have recently been holding on to them until this virus has eased it’s restrictions.
‘Country Lovers’ by Rebecca Shaw is our ‘C’ contribution

My C book is 'Clear and Present Danger' by Tom Clancy'. It is one of his 'Jack Ryan' novels. A good yarn an a reasonable movie was made of it. I have included my well travelled HRC Bear and TB Roman to help identify me.
