Description

Stop, Rest and Revive is a series of caches placed along the Stuart Highway in the Northern Territory by TeamGeoPlesk. With the permission of TeamGeoPlesk I am expanding the coverage. These caches aim at breaking up the long and often very uneventful journeys throughout the Territory. I hope that you enjoy the caches and that you take the opportunity to Stop, Rest and Revive during your travels.

SRR - Warloch

Warloch Camping Area is beside the Stuart Highway and has room for about a  dozen or so caravans, camper trailers, camper vans and tents and is popular with the grey nomads and other travellers on the Stuart Highway.

Facilities in the camp area as at August 2009 include a fairly new ladies and gents enviro toilet block which was not there last year, one picnic table under shelter, a water tank, firepit and a few rubbish bins.

To log this virtual, simply take a photo of your GPS either in front of the "Warloch" sign or in a place that clearly identifies the facilities at Warloch.

A physical cache container was not placed at this location as there are very few cachers in this region and maintenance can be very tedious, if at all possible.

First To Find Award Congratulations to

Alice trip 2017. Day 19. Today Sol de Lune, Luckyl10n, Fitzy_1965 and I left Darwin and began the journey south finishing the day in Daly Waters. We managed a few caches we had skipped on the way north and a section of trigs.

Thanks

#GA1559 - 16:00; Day 23 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune, albida33 and fitzy_1965. We were now headed south towards home again after a few days in Darwin. We had called a halt south of Mataranka on the way north as we had run out of time and were now back to collect the caches we missed on the way north. This was a driver reviver stop our way towards Daly Waters for the night. TFTC WanderingAus Very HappyClan Cerberus

An unusual name for a rest area. We pulled in to Warloch to find many campers here - too many to look for the GC cache but no problems with this. TFTC WanderingAus.

07-Aug-16
Stopped here for a cuppa & snapped the required on the way out. Though things did turn out a little fuzzy!

We have camped at this spot on a previous occasion. Dennis braved the traffic, what traffic, for me to take the photo. Good camp spots are always recorded for future use.

19-Jun-12
Heading south after the V8's grabbing some caches along the way.

Quick stop and photo. TFTC. Very Happy

A lot of these road stops look the same. This one has a yellow [not green] toilet block though and that is what we tried to show in our photo. Thanks.

Another welcome and very well used rest spot. TFTC WanderingAus

Could not find any sign with Warloch on it but, by chance, managed to take an almost identical photo. TFTC.

I took the necessary photograph and will up load it shortly as I am on a severley limited bandwidth, and it would take forever.
Many caravans had stopped already.
