Found It!
I was a little sceptical that I'd find this one given the previous logs. But I was in the area so I thought I'd give it a go. A nice little walk over to the most obvious tree and in less than a minute of wandering around the ruins, I spotted the cache! While signing the log I noticed that it had been some eight and half years since the previous finder! The lid was a little brittle but otherwise the cache and contents were in good condition given they had been sitting here for over 8 years!

Hey sylken!
The cache should still be there. The coords only give you a starting point. You do need to use the hint and go for a bit of a walk. The ruins are not really visible from the road as they are in amongst bushes and are pretty flat these days.
The woolshed you see is definitely still in use with upwards of 16000 sheep through it around April/May every year.
I grew up there and my parents still live there.
Glad you liked my caches further up the road too
cheers

We were so keen to find this cache as it has been over five years since it was last logged. We parked the van at Yunta truck stop for the night so that we could try for this one and visit the Waukaringa historic site nearby.
On arrival at GZ we were very surprised to find nothng remotely like an obvious hiding place for GZ. One large..ish rock which was very easy to lift and acres of scrubby saltbush....all behind a new...ish fence.
The GPS showed GZ to be 6 metres behind the fence. We didn't fancy climbing the fence especially with the buildings just opposite (a couple of nice old shearing sheds amongst them ) so after searching carefully along the roadside looking for a regular cache we were disappointed to have to give it away.
We then continued on to a couple of other caches and to see the Waukaringa historic ruins. We grabbed the other two hides and enjoyed wandering among the rubble and silent walls.
After arriving back at the van I had another look at this one. I saw there was a big hint so we drove back to GZ but could not see any sign of any ruins near a lone tree up the hill. (I must admit that we climbed the fence this time and went for our little 'bush walk'. I wonder if the nearby shearing sheds are still used?
We were very disappointed not to have been able to find this one but we shall watch it with great interest
Thanks so much geowaz for placing this one in the first place....we thoroughly enjoyed our attempt to find it.

I helped Geowaz (aka geo-dad) set this one up on Fathers Day last year, but only became an officaly cacher myself recently. Re-found on a weekend back home to visit geo-parents.
Took peg, left koala.
Feel free to search the area for old trinkets from the original hut and add them to the collection on top of the cache. We've found buckles, buttons, heaps of china, shears, nails...

Having lived here for the first 18 years of my life and my dad hiding the cache I hoped I might have been able to get back and be the FTF. Alas, too busy with work in Adelaide.
Having also spent many hours on a motorbike mustering sheep in this paddock and all the others on the station I'm not sure if I had even been to this exact spot before. I know I've been very close to it, in fact we took a mob of feral goats to the nearby yards only a few months ago and were only a couple hundred metres to the north.
Im sure dad will read this and say 'yeah, I showed you these old ruins years ago!'
Anyway, thanks for the cache geowaz(dad).
Didn't need the GPS for this, good quick find.
TNLN, still heaps of good swaps in there.

Found with Adrian Mc, o'cholio and Team Waldron for a Joint *FTF* on a very muddy approach. TFTC.
I think they were trying to shear across the road.

An easy find as part of a group heading up to Mt Chambers.
Surprised to see that it was still a FTF for all of us.

Our very first GCA cache, and a FTF at that! The road in was extremely sloppy and wet, but thankfully the approach to the cache wasn't the same and it was a group effort on the way to a Gammon Ranges event that found it. Sharing the FTF with everyone else who has logged today. Great views would have been beheld if the weather was better. TFTC.
