Description

J & J's seventh cache hide. A small plastic pill bottle hidden on the Wallaroo jetty.

Bring your fishing rod or your swimming togs to get the most from the visit to this cache.

We were going to place the container further toward the end of the wharf, but this area is out of bounds when there are grain ships in.

This cache can be accessed at all times.

Stealth will be required when there are people fishing nearby, which is often!

Canister contains pencil and log scroll/stashnote only, so no swaps needed. Good luck.

Please note: This cache is not available for logging a find if you've already logged it on the American listing site.

No luck with the number part of the hint or the cache. If it was where we thought it was buried underneath some rubbish and we had no way of getting it out. Disappointing but the fish and chips at the pier were great!

I had a very pleasant walk along the jetty today. Brought back lots of memories of holidaying in the area when I was a kid and fishing of this jetty Mr. Green Also memories of the worst sunburn I had ever had from sitting on the jetty all day!!
The area was quite busy today but thankfully most of the activity was focused on the other side of the jetty and I had a chance to search and find this little blighter. There was really only a couple of places It could have been hidden Mr. Green Signed and replaced in its home I was off to look at a lighthouse
Cheers & thanks for the hunt J & J

The closure is probably due to the reconstruction of parts of the jetty after storm damage earlier this year. I will get the in-laws to report on the current status of the jetty and report here when we know more.

We arrive to find the jetty closed to the public. I'm not sure if this is a permanent thing or if it is open at times. It certainly wasn't open today, and there seems to be no active GC listing here either.

Got muggled out twice here yesterday.
Mr Beetle returned very early this morning and had the place all to himself. A quick find was made but when screwing the lid back on the container the string broke. He brought it back to the van and made a temporary repair but this one may need a check by the CO.
Thanks, a top spot and we were glad there was a cache out here.

What do two Tasmanians do on a wet morning in Wallaroo? Why they don high vis raincoats and walk out on the pier to look for a GA geocache that hasn't been found for over two years. There was one brave soul fishing off the lower walkway but no other muggles to interrupt our search.
We didn't think that we would be able to locate this one however the clue and accurate co-ordinates led us to GZ and with the help of our trusty super tool we soon had the cache in hand. It was in excellent condition even after lying undisturbed for such a long time.
We do hope more caches will look for this cache as it is an excellent hide in a great location that provides great views back to the shore and boats being loaded.
Thanks J_&_J for yet another great caching experience.

Laighside Legends was in town and I knew he had a bit of trouble finding this one last time he was around so went and checked it out with him again.

Still one of the best caches around town.

Found It!
Dazzatron showed me where this one was, which was lucky as I would have never found it on my own...

I have changed the hint to be more specific.

My cacher sense was tingling - it must be right here, but nothing was moving. I applied some excessive peer pressure and the cache suddenly popped into view! Nice hide Smile *FTF* as a GCA cache!

TNLN - Thanks J & J!
