Description

"Drebley" is a term coined by Douglas Adams and John Lloyd in the book "The Meaning of Liff"

According to the definition:

Drebley (noun): Name for a shop which is supposed to be witty but is in fact wearisome, e.g. 'The Frock Exchange', 'Hair Apparent', etc.

Get out there and find shops or businesses that employ a play on words in their name. Hair Salons seem to be the worst offenders in this category.

Lets see what creative names people have come up with.

To log this cache, take a picture of the shop/business in question with your GPS visible and log the coordinates of your find.

Teams may log this cache more than once but each business may only be logged once. Separate (geographically) businesses that have supposedly independently come up with the same name are fine.

On the last night of our New Zealand trip we were walking around downtown Auckland and came across a "Hong Kong style BBQ restaurant". Now we had seen some quite interesting shop names in NZ, but this one seemed a little out there. Do you really want to go eat at "Love A Duck"?

Is it OK to put cool names in here? I see so many, and they can't be described as Drebleys. If not I'd like to start a locationless for cool business names.

Metal As Anything, Kadina, South Australia.

Metal As Anything is a metal fabricator, and industrial supplies retailer. I've dealt with them on a few occasions during my time working in the area.

Their business name is, of course, a play on the name of the Aussie band Mental As Anything, who were popular in the 80's, but have released albums right up until 2009.

Thanks Team Wibble.

I was doing some early morning searching and I saw this Drebley - I had to stop and read it. This place is brillant. They might even do some good work on bike.
The sign says:
Bicycology Cycle Clinic
Bi-cy-col-o-gy (bahy-si-kuhl-uh-jee) – the in-depth knowledge and expert dealing with all things bicycle related.
More of the script is revealed in the photos, they also reveal that these guys have bikes on the brain.

I've heard of Bed bugs but never Bike bugs. You wouldn't want to get bitten on a long trip, it would be rather painful.
Found in North Sydney on the Pacific highway

What better name for a mirror shop than "Reflections".

WanderingAus wandered by on day 89 of our annual Climatic Refugee trip, exploring around Roma, and found this hairdresser "ScissorTrix Hair Design" right next door to "ShoeZamm". Not sure which is worse, or even whether I should claim two finds.

The Saucy Tart is a bakery/cafe in Bomaderry. The sign is rather small so haven't included the GPSr, however can add another picture later on as there is a GC cache nearby. I didn't venture inside to confirm whether it met the guidelines.
