Get a smiley for going to the dentist!

I took some photographs of the spectacular view from my dentist's surgery this week. I could see clear across to the mountains of the Great Dividing Range.

I wished there was some kind of locationless you could get just from going to the dentist.  So I thought of this one.

Get a photo of something - you, your teeth, the dentist's feet or the view outside but try to get the GPSr in there. Be as creative as you like. John Lennon was very creative, he was an art student and you know what they're like. My mum and I used to sit on the floor and howl with laughter when we read his books "A Spaniard in the Works" and "In his own Write"  in the 1960s. One story was called "At the Dennis" so I've named this cache for John Lennon.

Everyone goes to the dentist, right? So you should all be able to get a find for this locationless.

This photo was taken years ago specifically for this cache. Forgot about it until recently when I was looking for photos for a series of locationless puzzles we have been publishing.
One of my least favourite places and the charges are horrific but I for one would hate to work here.
Thanks.

bristracker thanks for the cache.

As a kid I was tortured by the dentist so only went when I really needed to go so now I don't have the teeth I have now.

So I keep my mouth shut.

On the weekend we headed to the dentist for our 6 month check-up. Luckily neither of us needed any work done this time and we're all good for another 6 months.
Attached is a photo of each of us in the chair. Very HappyVery Happy

Thanks for the fun cache Bristracker.

Hi brickstacker
Had a trip to the New Town Dental Centre yesterday and had thirteen teeth extracted.
On bugger is still in there - it loved me too much to leave the jaw; little sh-- of a thing! Causing too much pain to come out - local anaesthetics don't work on me properly......
They said they'd given me enough to drop an elephant ; TOTAL block on Tuesday!!! I HOPE?????
Photos show and speak for themselves.
Go back Tuesday to get the pesky one out and hopefully the rest so I get me some false choppers!
Genetic deficiencies caused my teeth problems - talk about REDNECKS!
TFTC and cheers
OldSaint.

Well I tried but I was not allowed to take a photo inside the surgery for security reasons which I will not go into here but this practice has had attempts of break and entry in the recent past. So I hope the photo of the sign will meet the requirements. Located in Henry Street Nanango Qld this surgery is open two days a week whilst the main surgery in Kingaroy operates Monday to Friday. The current dentist and his wife have been located here for approximately 20years.

I had the pleasure of two visits to the dentist today, the first to replace a cap on my front tooth that finally decided to come loose, the second to do a "regular" clean and check-up (I say "regular" as I think my last dentist visit was at least three or four years ago). I have attached a pic of the view from the dental chair.

I had the dreaded appointment today, and I knew it wasn't going to be pleasant as one of my filling had fallen out about 4 months prior... Crying or Very sad

I snapped this photo on the sly as I walked towards my impending doom!

Went for my 6 monthly checkup at the Bundoora Dental Clinic and amazed myself by remembering to take a photo while I was there Smile . I did wuss out and take pic of my feet while on the chair instead of the room.
Then I had to explain to the dentist what I was doing it for. He didn't seem overly interested but he HAD read "At the Dennis"

It's not very often that I have to spend a lot of money at the dentist, but this bill made my eyes water.

After over 12 years of no visits to the dentist, finally had to bite the bullet after a toothache couldn't be controlled with Panadol anymore! The bill at the end hurt more than the tooth! Eeek!

I dont find the pain in the mouth that bad, but it's the cost of visiting the place. Amazingly expensive.

pjmpjm's 'dennis' on Kenthurst Road in Dural, NSW

I had my regular appointment to have my teeth cleaned. I had already had my check-up and my teeth were pretty good, considering my age. Two new crowns in the past three years. Now they're mainly worried about my gums! Will it never end? Guess not . . . need those teeth!

Anyhow, I wasn't brave enough to try to take my 'At the Dennis' shots (God bless John Lennon) while inside the surgery, but pulled out the iPhone and GPSr upon leaving . . .

By the way, one of my GCA caches is located only about 150 metres from this 'dennis' at Round Corner . . .

Well we forgot to take the GPSr and camera inside but as soon as Geokid had finished with her check up and had an all clear for 6 months and a great start to 2011, we had to take a photo to celebrate. Here she is giving her best toothy smile.

One of us went to the dentist to get a gum infection cleaned up. I even had the liberty to take a picture of it!!!

Forgot about this one when in the dentist chair. Could have taken a good picture from the 11th floor of his Collins St building.
All I have to show is the bill and the certificate for personal leave.
Ah well, 6 months to save up for the next visit, gotta pay for that real estate.

I was planning to take a photo of the fish tank but left rather dazed after being hit with another filling. Alas, I've got nothing creative and a larger bill than anticipated. Time for a lie down.
