Description
Small cache in a secluded reserve surrounded by houses and native bush.
Don't let the road deceive you, it's made from paper! This cache is in a reserve named after an Avenue which will lead you astray. A reserve with an interesting history of Hudson Bombers and Red Gums in a Gully. If you can find the puzzle of marbled geckos you are close to GZ. Where Eric meets Miller is the start of the trail. Be careful not to stand on the plants planted by our patch people.

Logs
This cache has been on our must do list for far too long. We had trouble locating the access path and tried several spots before spotting a very small official looking sign pointing out the private property boundary and the little overgrown track that led to the information board and the track into the reserve.
We followed it down to a nice little picnic spot where we spotted a possible hide not far away. Closer inspection revealed a well hidden container with a badly broken lid. The contents were in good condition despite the poor state of the lid. We added our names to those of previous finders of this old cache. The next finder might like to bring a replacement container so that this old GCA cache can live on.
Thanks for this cache WombatPies and for showing us this reserve. The wildflowers are very pretty at the moment. The friends of the reserve are doing a great job removing weeds and replanting natives. Well worth a walk in this area.

This cache needs owner maintenance in the form of a new container and updating the coordinates on the cache listing page.
I've driven past this location once before, but the lack of roadside parking and proximity to houses put us off of attempting a search.
Today, with the 6x dZ bonus points on offer, I made the effort to find this neat little geocache. I parked legally and walked down to the start of the trail, and enjoyed the nice stroll through the area to GZ. Masses of sour-sobs thwarted my search initially, and I was staring down the barrel at a DNF. Eventually I found the sorry looking container, and added our stamp to the logbook.
Here's a link to the group that has done all the work in this reserve:

Thanks WombatPies.

amazing to think that this cache has not been found for 5 years. i found this cache no where near the coordinates. i found it on a rock out in the open. it is very deteriorated and needs replacing. if i had a container i would have replaced it. i found it at S35°0.680' E138°37.155'.

Nice little hidden park searched all over but couldn't find. It has been 4 years since the last log so may have been muggled.

Found It!
Nice little place. Took me while to spot the cache and then I realized I left the pen in the car at the top of the hill... So after a hike back up the hill and down again the log was signed!

Finally got a chance to do the walk and find the cache. What a gem of a spot. TFTC.
Found the carefully hidden cache after spending a few minutes reading the information at the monument. Thanks for the cache Wombat Pie!
After a few other caches nearby, I headed down to this one. Glad to see the adjusted co-ords, but I should have looked down there any way. Thanks.

A nice little park that I wouldn't have known was here if not for caching. Mr Tardis and Toddler Tardis bumped into a few locals anlong the path who were walking to a site to plant some trees. Used FourW's co-ordinates to find this one. SL. TFTC.

Thanks for correcting the co-ords. Our first hide and we are using a Nokia phone with GPS. This was a kind of experiment to see if it would work. Might have to invest in a GPS for the next one. I'll put in a new pencil too.
First to Find~ !
For some reason, I always seem to head to the Hills on cold wet windy days for caches. Then I take the long way round to GZ.
After pondering the coordinates for way too long, I started to widen the search, then remembered the description with a bit more detail.
Eventually I located it, still 14 m off the updated GZ.
Then Disaster Strikes! the pencil has a loose lead, won't sharpen and I've left my pen in the car! But I got it down to a point where I could sign.
Updated coords are from approximately 5 minutes of waypoint averageing while I fought with the pencil. Poor weather conditions, other GPSr may yield different results.
Left a padlock with no key that I found somewhere. Thanks for the cache!
