Description

SW SURPRISE SURPRISE

Mt Surprise is a funny little place to stop.

We stopped for the Planet Earth Snake Show which also has a mad looking museum/café. And we also had a go at fossicking for Topaz at Mt Gems.

Pam of Mt Surprise Gems is the Guardian of this GC. If you really can’t find it, she will help out.

Cache is Plastic container holding Savannah Waytags, first find, first claim. I think we also left some sunglasses and toy cars too, in honour of all the driving and the weather.

If Waytags are all gone, email photo of you holding the cache to [email protected] and I will send you a by snail mail.

Cairns trip 2019. Day 8. This was my second day on the Savannahlander train and we traveled from Almaden to Forsayth via Mt Surprise and Einsley. After a hearty lunch at MT Surprise Bedrock village I walked over to the gem store to checkout this cache before getting back on the train for the afternoons travel. This looks like a interesting location.

Thanks

Heading out to Georgetown from Greenvale and saw that this was along the way. It didn't take much convincing for the kids to all want to stop and go have a look for it!

Found it in it's beautiful surroundings. The logs a little wet but still usable. Very Happy

A great clue and a quick find. Didn't take up the free muffin offer as it was very busy in there at lunchtime. Thanks.

Silver for us on this one. It was fantastic to see that there is other cachers looking at the GA site. Had a fantastic talk with Pam, who offered a free coffee and muffin which we declined as we needed to keep traveling. We were told to remind her the next time we passed by. T tag SL TFTC

According to the owner I was the first to find and when I asked for my free muffin as per message she didn't know what I was talking about but then clicked. I took a waytag and left an insect
