Description

Located close to the main road.

A small rectangular container (200x60x40) so swaps can't be too big.  A good spot to have a quick stop on a long trip and to learn some of the history of the town.

Found this cache on a stop in Sherlock
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Early in 2021 I received an invite from GoosenEgg and Stainless Steel Rat to join them on a caching trip to the Mega in South Australia. As planning got underway some caches with high Favorite points, very old caches, and the On Your Bike Series were listed as "must-dos"

The trip ended up being 10 days of solid and very enjoyable caching with quite a few highlights. The find count for the trip was around the 950 mark when all GCA, Adventure Lab, and GC caches are included. The high point for finds was a day of 335 finds in the one day, which would have been more, but a sudden storm put the end to caching for the day. No one was interested in getting out of the car to find a cache in a downpour in the dark Smile

We were lucky enough to find Gawler Fort Knox, Dustin's Cache, and my favorite for the trip Barossa High (From 21st of January 2001 with the original log book still in place) all in the one day.

Unfortunately, the caching around the mega was beset by bad weather and the day we had put aside for Mount Gambier was scrapped due to a covid case in Mount Gambier on the previous day, so we avoided the area. We all enjoyed the Fishing series and just managed to get the remaining of these before the light failed for the day.

In the end I managed to completed my D/T grid for the first (and possibly the second time) which was my aim for the year, although some of the D/T combinations were not really achievable in Tasmania without a 3 day overnight bush walk.

Found this one because it was right next to a movable I picked up. I did need a geocaching implement to liberate both of them.
thanks, Team Jeckyl! Logs a bit full but found a few empty pages in the middle.

Staying in Murray Bridge for a week we have been focusing on finding some GCA caches and this was one of them. Our last visit to Murray Bridge was for our 1st Mega so nice to return and find caches that we missed or have been published since then.

Thanks Team Jekyll for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Ahh.. a familiar spot. I am sure I have found this cache previously in it's GC guise.
Means it was a nice quick search and find here.

A nice quick find on our road trip to Sydney. This was the first cache that we stopped at during sixteen finds for the day between Adelaide and Hay. An interesting site, and a nice cache hide.

Thanks Team Jeckyl.

Thanks. We had to observe traffic movements to be unobserved. The road was unusually busy.

Christmas Adelaide 2013. Plenty of spots to break the drive so why not choose one with a cache. Thanks.

WanderingAus wandered by on day 104 of our annual Climatic Refugee trip, finally heading east after a week in Adelaide.

TomTom alerted me to the presence of this cache just as I was slowing to pull over for lunch, so after lunch I slipped out to find it, and made an extremely quick and easy find.

Found on our way home from South Australia. Special little town to have 3 caches in it - all in very different locations. No-one around to interfere in our search. TFTC

The second day of our expedition out of Tassie to Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales, Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory. It is only when you see construction equipment like this that you marvel at the achievements of workmen in years gone by. The principle underlying modern and old equipment are basically the same but the power and size of modern machinery enables tasks to be completed much more easily and bigger tasks to be undertaken. However, the achievements of early workers with the equipment they had available are remarkable. The cache was a quick find, being in the first place we looked. TFTC

Well I was all excited hoping for a FTF then I pulled the cache out and found two log books full of names! Oh well nice little town anyway - certainly worth a cache!

This cache was originally hidden as a geocaching.com cache back in 2003. Recently the council moved the whole structure across the road, making it too close to stay on the geocaching.com site because there is now another cache too close by. A council worker replaced the cache and advised somebody he knew that was a geocacher.

It seems a pity to archive the cache, as it's an interesting spot. I'm hoping that it will be accepted on this site even though there's another cache close by. The .com cache has been archived.
