Description
On the GC home page at the bottom it lists the recent logs and is refreshed ever few seconds. So at some stage as you log your GC caches they will appear on the GC ticker for someone around the world to see.
The object of this virtual/Locationless cache is to take a screen dump of your caching name on the GC ticker. The challenge is now on to find your name!
Only one log per caching team allowed
Good luck - seems easy but is a little harder than what you would think!!!

Cybergran v is the gc ticker back? Ill unarchive if it is? There is a locationless for the gca ticker i would just need to find the number
Finally found my photo there after watching for it, ever since I first noticed.
Only to find that the cache has been archived.
So sad, too bad, I think I’ll have to reinvent it.

Found it. Alerted to this cache on the afternoon of the 18/03/2018. Travelled with Jason in 3 states and had fun logging him in and out of some different locations. Tnx PareisLaura
This cache has been temporary disabled for over 90 days, so we will be archiving it to de-clutter the database.
When the cache is ready to be activated again the owner can place an 'unarchived' log and it will go live.

Seems the ticker has disappeared from the GC website -
This might be the end of this unique little cache.
Ill disable it for now just in case GC does some more updates, if not I will archive it soon.

Have noticed that "On the GC home page at the bottom it lists the recent logs and is refreshed ever few seconds" is now no longer appearing on the updated GC home page. Is it gone for good?
Many thanks to Leesa Willmott for spotting this one tonight moments after logging the finds from weekend. Very lucky to be able to complete this one.

Woo hoo and huzzah, I've been waiting to see our caching name in electrons on the GC ticker and it's finally happened . A saturation 'bombing' of the new Peninsula Link cache trail over Easter surely had to do the trick and thankfully it did .
(And sorry about calling you 'Shirley' .)
Many thanks for this one ParisLaura.

Well, Suscoe was quietly logging when an email arrived from Geoff.
We had not realised about the cache linked to the GC Ticker but after a bit of guidance and searching, it all became clear.
So logging this thanks to the screen shot we now have in our possession.
Thanks to all involved

I have added another log because this is a screen shot of something that I had seen before but didn't quite believe!! This time, though, I had the presence of mind to capture the image for proof!!
So here is a screen shot of my found log on the GC ticker but with another geocacher next to me who also is displaying my avatar.... Somehow the avatar must have bled through.

I didn't know this cache existed until I had an email from a fellow cacher. She captured my name. Woohoo. I never would have seen it. Thanks NurseyJulie
FINALLY!!
I have had this cache on watch ever since I heard about it but would always forget to check the ticker or my timing just want quite right. A few times I have tried on the quarted hour as suggested and today after seeing gmj3191's log it reminded me 1) that I hadnt logged a cache found on Australia day and 2) that I still hadnt been successful on this one yet. So after writing the log and seeing it was exactly 5.15pm I pressed submit and then went to the ticker page and waited ... and yeehah... here it is at long last!

Thanks to Geoff Jamieson, I can now log this cache. He has provided me with the right evidence to claim my find. Thanks.

A while ago I had an email from MtnLioness who had captured my name on the ticker and asked for my email address so she could send it to me. By the time she replied, she'd deleted it so I was back to square one.
Today I finally saw it and grabbed it, for several different caches, so I finally get to log it.
Thanks ParisLaura.

Special thanks to Grahame Cookie for this one. I've tried and failed so many time to get a snap of my name up in lights, glad others in the community are looking out for others!

FINALLY! I've grabbed a few screen shots for others, but tonight was the first time I've seen my own come up. I do still have heaps to log mind you from my road trip to SA. This is for logging Sepia Apama - the Missing Link, in South Australia.
My screen shot also covers Spatial Rig, logging a cache in WA, so will try to contact them as well. Cheers

While logging the Windsor Road Power Trail caches Mrs Shifter thought about this locationless cache and looked at the GC ticker when she had finished, the second scroll through had us on the ticker.
My 500th GC cache on the first day of 2013 and finally got this GCA locationless thrown in. What a great start to the year.

you are funny firesafe - I think you are waiting for a bite, but it does not seem to be coming lol!
well for a first time seeing my name up in light it came up 5 times with 2 of them a double up
A little hard is an under estimate.
I've been trying to tick this of for months.
About 200 smileys with no joy.
Finally tonight I had 16 caches to log and was starting off when I thought hey lets see if I can get my name up in lights.
Bingo, after 4 logs I was lucky enough to score a spot on the ticker.

Yahoo, I finally managed to see this one tonight. Firstly I had to remember to look for it, and then I had to refresh the page about 10 times before I saw my name come up yay!!
Thanks for the cache ParisLaura!

Logged a few cachers from NZ and then when swapping between sites I spotted something I thought I would never see. Glad to grab this one.

Very happy to log a find after the ever-observant locus_cache kindly captured screen shots for my logs on It's a Small World - Broome, and It's a Small World - Kununurra. Thanks locus_cache for forwarding the screen-shots, and parislaura for the cache!
I had another couple tonight as well as finding a couple of the cachers over at the InZid Mega at the moment ...
i think the difficulty rating should be higher for this one but i eventually got it

Awesome firesafe, however I think if I create a new cache category of logging other peoples finds on your own cache shown on the ticker I may have no friends left in the caching world! LOL
Yah, FINALLY!!!!
Now can someone please tell me how to add a picture to this cache log?
(Seems I just worked that answer out!)
Not only have I finally got my name on the GC ticker but........
I have two caches on the one ticker screen!
Then, I also had two more caches on separate screens... all of these were from the one 'publish caches' list sent from GSAK
After all these weeks, I now like your cache parislaura whereas prior to this it was just plain EVIL!!
Can't say I SL but I can say I have uploaded the screen shots to prove this log!!

Did I go looking for this one...NO.
Did I know this one existed...NO.
I received an email from another cacher with he link to this cache and that they had a screen shot for me.
Some people out there are always thinking of others and that is so awesome. Many thanks for the screen shot.
MtnLioness, captured it for me.
Thanks heaps MtnLioness for this.

I also have spent fruitless hours waiting for the Ticker to show my finds and have given up on several attempts. In Toowoomba the other night and had loged my four finds and lo and behold up comes my name on the ticker after about 15minutes. Problem. Using my I Pad and no way to capture the ticker. Took my camera and took a photo of screen and was going to use that when I finally make it home and get to my PC.
Then I receive this email as though by Magic. Tamara, MtnLioness, captured it for me. Thanks heaps MtnLioness for this.
Now I can claim this one. Cachers are wonderful people.

Well, I was in the US on a couple of trails (Route 66) while the eagle eye of Mtn Lioness spotted this and forwarded the screen shot.
Thanks Mtn Lioness

After 3 hours of watching the GC ticker, I have realized a few things...
My vision now moves to the right every 10-11 seconds and I can only count up to 20
(as only twenty names appear on it at any one 15 mins refresh period.)
Yet I still have not seen my own name after logging a few at a time at various different times to test the timing of it out and all the while, every 8 seconds reporting back to the GC ticker page to see another name, not mine, move to the left by 1/3 of the screen every 10-11 seconds.

After some tried-but-failed attempts (and some logged-but-oops-I-forgot-to-check fails... ) I finally managed to get the log timed right on the weekend! I think the trick is to log exactly on the quarter-hour but picking a time that's unfriendly to European and American cachers could help too. Was nice to have 15 minutes of fame - and with a find rather than a DNF like one of the others who made it on the ticker at the same time. The main image was a area grab through Snipping Tool so I didn't quite get the entire screen/window - I added a few others with my name in different positions at times just as additional proof. TFTC
Actually while logging today, I was watching it and trying to time the logs for a few every 10 mins to try and get on the newly refreshed ticker. No worky thus far, grrrr.
I had a great day with my (far less fit) younger brother in Melbourne, riding our Mountain bikes around the Woodlands Park series of 100 caches. A pleasant leisurely (for me) ride in absolute boggy and muddy conditions, though it was 15º and sunny. We had fun. We completed the course in 7 hrs 20 mins. Then I sat down at the pc an hour later and started logging the finds.
Then, when I get home, Sol de Lune of Canberra sent me a screen shot of me on the GC ticker. And, how fitting, it was for the cache #21 - Creek Crossing - and believe me, it was a RIVER crossing, the creek was a raging torrent. (Well, the catchment had had 40+ mm of rain overnight) We even saw some other mountain bikers on the other side wanting to get to our side - LOL.
So, Thanks Sol de Lune. Screen shot attached.
PS - MtnLioness - I BEAT YA!

We have been to Hobart for the weekend and started to log our finds tonight. Thinking that the chances of appearing in the ticker were similar to winning Tattslotto, we were very surprised to see one our finds appear. The find was "Mary MacKillop - New Town". another miracle for St Mary? Now we can log a find for this cache. TFTC.
Thanks to Grahame for his alertness, we can now log this cache.

Wow . . . I didn't even know this cache existed until I received a random email today with a screen dump of the GC page showing my name It wasn't until I made a phone call to the random unkown-to-me cacher, that he kindly explained the cache and idea to me. So thank you very much Grahame Cookie I will now be on the lookout for others!!

Can Feathertop claim a Find from Timtamtoo's Find and photo post?!?
Welllll I think you have earned the right considering you logged 1500 caches in one month go ahead!!!
Well so much for Facebook.. I will now be watching GC home page all day instead hoping to see my name scroll through...
So the DIVORCE rate will go up as no work will again be getting done..
Oh... Geocaching dont you just love it...

If I have several caches to log, I usually just go through them one by one but don't go back to the home page at all.
ParisLaura, you are going to change the way many geocachers do their logging

BRILLIANT idea for a cache!!!
I have seen Firesafes name on there and 1 other SA team once too but I never took a copy of them. Now to get mine up there AND catch it!
