Description
Should be an easy find on the outskirts of a Queensland Border Town.
I was thinking that Camooweal was in one of the verses of I've Cached Everywhere, Man, the largest cache series hidden in Australia. As it happened I was mistaking Camooweal for Cloncurry, but having placed the cache I saw no reason not to leave it in place.
The bonus of placing this cache was finding a Survey Mark and a Waymarkable bridge date very close to GZ. Having claimed the Survey Mark for GA1444 QLD State Survey Marks by Pride of Ogres it is not available to be claimed again, but the Waymark 94816 - Survey Mark - Ilaga Thuwani Bridge, Camooweal, Queensland, Australia will be available to be visited, as will the Bridge Date Stone Ilaga Thuwani Bridge - 2002 - Camooweal, Queensland, Australia a metre or so away.
This cache is a drab camo'd 1 Kg screwtop fruit container, containing a log, 2 pencils, a sharpener, and an assortment of animal swaps. Please be sure to seal the ziplock bag, screw the lid on tightly and conceal it as found, and watch out for muggles.
Swaggies are not tradeable items. Please feel free to take them without making a trade, but please leave a note in the logbook and your online log, and do log them online. Grounspeak Trackables (geocoins and travel bugs) can NOT be logged into this cache, or any other GCA cache. Please don't drop any Grounspeak Trackables in this cache, and if you find any in this cache please remove them and log a "Grab it from somewhere else" log for the trackable.

Logs
Replaced the container with a magnetic keysafe.
About a metre away on the first metal upright.
With a rock on it now...
Will add photo.
Cheers
Passing through Camooweal today we stopped and found this cache. Added a new logsheet and zip lock bag. Container has no lid but placed in concrete alcove behind rocks to protect it.
Many thanks WanderingAus for publishing this cache for our enjoyment and adding to our geocaching experience.
Tassie Trekkers are now a locationless geocache we have published a 'Geocacher cache' - Travelling Trekkers GA10932 - so if you spot us in your area sign our log book and receive a code word to earn yourself a We were one of the lucky teams to receive a pathtag from Geocaching Australia for publishing a "Geocacher Cache" - thanks Geocaching Australia.

Found the container easily enough, but sadly the contents have been muggled.
I couldn't replenish - note has been made to get and carry the necessary stuff - but left the container as found.
Hopefully another cacher coming past will be able to rejuvenate it.
Thanks for the cache Wandering Aus.
True to form we didn't leave till 10.00am, and hoping to get to our next camp before dark o'clock.
Before leaving Camooweal today we bimbled on up here to seek out your cache. All found in good order.
TFTC
Thanks

Flew into Alice Springs and met up with my fellow intrepid team members Sol de Lune, Albida33 and LuckyL10n for the start of an amazing trip throughout the Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales and eventually back to Canberra. The Red Centre Experience is the main attraction of course, but also on our agenda are a lot of GC Caches, lots of trigs, as well as plenty of GCA Trads, History and Virtual Caches (and maybe the odd beer or two ??!! Smile. Go Clan Cerberus !
Another Trad for the trip while heading south and east. We stopped here to look around and grab some caches. Lots of piccies taken. Then it was back in the car and off to the next one !
Another great location visited during our journey.
TFTC !!
Thanks WanderingAus...and neat one crossed off.
Then chose a free campspot nearby for the night.
Thanks.

Travelling from Camooweal today down to Mt Isa
Not an overly long way but we were beating into a strong headwind which was impeding our progress
