#GA1534 - 17:45; Day 17 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune, albida33 and fitzy_1965. After a night in Tennant Creek we were headed north for Mataranka along the Stuart Highway. Popped into Larrima as we continued our journey north and collected a couple of caches, including this one. TFTC Territory Dogs Very HappyClan Cerberus

Alice trip 2017. Day 15. After a great time in the R3ed center it was time to push north. Today took us from Tennant creek to Mataranka. Almost the last thing we did today with this cache. An interesting machine.

Thanks

Geocaching Australia (GCA) Cache Find Number 1403. Found during Day 7 of my epic 21 day visit to Alice Springs for the Red Centre Experience Event and further travels after that.

Flew into Alice Springs and met up with my fellow intrepid team members Sol de Lune, Albida33 and LuckyL10n for the start of an amazing trip throughout the Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales and eventually back to Canberra. The Red Centre Experience is the main attraction of course, but also on our agenda are a lot of GC Caches, lots of trigs, as well as plenty of GCA Trads, History and Virtual Caches (and maybe the odd beer or two ??!! Smile. Go Clan Cerberus !

Another Trad for the trip while heading north. We stopped here to look around and grab some caches. Some nice history around here. Lots of piccies taken. Then it was back in the car and off to the next one !

Another great location visited during our journey.

Getting closer to Darwin with fitzy_1965, LuckyLion and albida after our 5 days in Alice Springs and after many trigs today we finally made it to a Traditional cache. Took a few minutes searching but we managed to get our hands on the cache and all was good. An interesting litle area.....pink pub and all.

Thanks for another one Territory Dogs....

WanderingAus wandered by on day 78 of our annual Climatic Refugee trip, finally heading south after 9 weeks in Darwin and 3 days in Katherine.

It was time for lunch so as usual we pulled in here for a feed. As we approached TomTom alerted me to the presence of a cache, and as I slowed I could see the icon on the screen. I parked the righ in the sdahde at the north end of the parking area and while the WanderingMrs made lunch I wandered down, and made a very quick and easy GAFF 0 find after reading the cache name.

Had I used the gpsr for the hunt it would have been a much tougher job, because when I went to mark it as 'Found' on teh gpsr it said it was 9 metres away. After allowing the gpsr to rest for five minutes it still said 9 metres. I suggest the cache owner replace the quadrant or sextant they are using with a gpsr.

Correct coordinates are S15°34.500' E133°12.869'.

Clapping YAY, FTF! Clapping
Found on our Central Aust leg of our Round Aust trip
on our way to Daly Waters from Mataranka.
Enjoyed the pink panther area, and had a look at the museum, did not take too long to find the GC after a quick chat with the caretaker and his friendly pooch.
Surprised this has not been found before, Charlie was very pleased to get a FTF tag as his sister Chloe had gotten one a couple of weeks ago in Katherine. LOL.
