Description

First Geocache we have made, please let me know of anything I could improve on!

Tiny bit of Bush in Huntly, Victoria that i decided would be a good spot.

There is a small track made by bikes that is probably the easiest to walk on.

Passing through on our way to Bendigo, with geovan in tow, we stopped here to find your cache.

Cache was covered well with leaf litter and dry inside.

Many thanks, Eelesie91 for adding to our geocaching experience today.

Found on our way to Bendigo to an event.
A nice walk in the scrub. Whhen I found it the cache was full of water. Pooor unloved contents were all soggy, the logbook covered in mould, but I was still able to sign it. dalerious spent a lot of time emptying it out and drying the contents. Amazing that it was so wet when it's 40 degrees today.

Thought we were on a real back road driving to this one and then suddenly we came across a lot of new houses!
Mr Beetle drove along the track to this one and while I grabbed the cache Mr Beetle turned the van around.
A quick find in a very dry bit of Australian bush. Was on the watch for wriggly sticks while here as it was very hot.
Thanks.

Was over in Victoria on a 4 day caching weekend with Freddo, Honeysucker and 3LG. Our main goal was to do the High Voltage Power trail on Mt Buffalo but it didnt stop us grabbing caches on the way over and way home. Thanks to all the cache hiders for placing and maintaining the caches. Very Happy

Well, a problem with chasing both GC and GCA caches is that I occasionally forget to log the GCA ones. A trawl of the map today (4June14) showed up an unfound cache in an area I thought I had cleared out.
A check revealed I had found this cache back in December on a caching mission but had failed to log it.
I remember this cache well as I had also found it back in 2012 and failed to log it then also Brick Wall

Thanks Eelesie91 for the "double" find. Whistle

Of termites !!

Well at least the little critters are putting a lot of effort into protecting the box Cool
Inside, the cache is dry as a bone and full of swaps Very Happy

TFTC.

Found after an afternoon of cache maintenance in Rushworth and Elmore. Wish a train had gone passed while we were there - it would have been quite a sight to see. Nice job - no exchanges made. TFTC

We were driving towards another cache when this one came up on our GPS. Just had to stop - could not drive by. After a short walk we got to GZ but could not locate the cache. Then we used Romax's amended coordinates and made a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. TFTC Steelsie.

Nice hide, relatively easy for a person like me with limited mobility. Coordinates pretty close on phone Smile

Found by Roma and Max.
Congratulations on your first hide you have chosen a lovely quiet piece of bushland and placed a good sized container, well hidden, in a typical spot.
We did have to widen our search area a little to S486 E598.
It was Roma's keen eyes that made our find and we took the path tag as a memento and left some trinkets in a zip bag for swaps for future junior finders should they wish to do so.
Thank you Steelsie, well done.
Cheers,
from Romax.
