Glen Lomond Park is a large reserve on the south east side of town with a scenic walk to the Hell-Hole, a volcanic feature visible not to far from the cache. This cache was placed as part of the summer scavenger series and adds to the small number of GCA hides around Toowoomba. In fact there were no phyical GCA hides in Toowoomba before the start of this competition.
The cache is close to the trail. Please return as found.

Logs
Just walking past this one and happy to report the original container is still here after nearly 6 years!!
As we passed through Toowoomba today we mainly focused on getting GCA caches.
Both headed off to this one but Mr Beetle stayed at the end of the flat grass bit while I continued on to GZ.
The last section was a bit of an uphill slog for an unfit person but I got there with only one stop.
It was interesting to be walking along the narrow ridge to this one but unfortunately there was smoke everywhere which obscured the views.
Third Tassie finders of this one in a row!!!
Thanks.

#GA3577 - 10:35; Day 4 of a long planned mission to South East Queensland with Sol de lune and after a couple of days in and around Nanango and the wider South Burnett area, it was time to head back towards Brisbane, then home later on Tuesday. Grabbed the CORS on the way into town, followed by a couple of virtuals, and now collecting a few more. This one provided some more interesting scenery on the way to GZ, as well as some exercise to get the blood pumping. Did the touristy thing and grabbed some snaps on the way in and again from the summit looking east across the valley. The cache was easily located and all in good order despite the lack of visitors. Thanks for the effort in getting this one placed to draw cachers out to this fabulous spot. Hope more of them make the effort to get out here. TFTC MalDawg

Day 4 of a 5 day caching run around south east Queensland with LuckyL10n.
After leaving Nanango we headed for Brisbane via Toowoomba and stopped to grab to the GCA caches that were in the area. This one was high on the list to grab. We parked at the head of he trail and started the walk in, not knowing what to expect. The going was easy, even though we had that one little stop section as we went past Hell Hole. It may have been easy in some sense, however after 3 days of full on caching, I could feel my legs as I we walked up.
One up at the little summit, the cache was a quick find and after signing the log we headed over a bit further to check out the view.
All up, a great little cache. I did enjoy the walk, the views and the history lesson on the are.
Thanks MalDawg….well worth the effort to come down here. Cache is still in good shape. Recommended.

too challenging for the kids I had with me. area was full of junk which I didn't think was safe for kids to be around, ie beer bottles and needles. won't be revisiting this one.
We left the car in the parking area and made our way to the track. We enjoyed reading the information boards as we walked along. After identifying the feature mentioned and taking some photos we continued our walk tp gz.
As we approached we saw a possble hiding spot which, on closer inspection revealed a well hidden cache.
Cache and contents were in excellent condition.
Thanks Malpdawg for bringing us to this part of Toowoomba and for an enjoyable caching experience. We hope more cachers will look for this cache when they are looking for other caches hidden in this reserve.

(FTF) Early in Toowoomba and I aranged the GCA hides in an order that would not have me back tracking. There are a few hides in this park now and the Biggy is the Multi of Brother Colin's. Thankfully I have found this one. Parked off road just past the gate where I normally park and commenced my walk in the cool of the morning. I did not see anyone else for the entire 30 minutes I was in here. Why 30 minutes you may ask. You will have to solve a puzzle and find out for your self. Walked along the track up and down and soon arrived at GZ. The birds are very happy this mornig and I saw a couple of Wallabies as well. All good with this one. Replaced and recovered as found. Now to go to the worked out co ordinates for GA9616 then to head back into town for a well deserved breakfast and write up my logs whilst I wait for it. TFTC MalDawg.
