### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###

----------

Hi there hondo222,

It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue. The cache has been temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.

**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**

#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-

- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ). Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.

- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers don't have a crystal ball, so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, or you have been in hospital, or the area is in flood, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**

- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56), so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.

You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when a Reviewer next looks at the cache page, it is likely that they will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) on the basis that it has been abandoned.

Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD).

Thanks for your cooperation,

Bunjil

Cache badly damaged. Sorry didn’t have one of this size to replace it for you.

02-Aug-22
We solved the Golden Shapes puzzle during summer and on a hot day we set out to GZ where the grass was overgrown and up to the height our waist which made our search impossible we decided to leave this one for another day. With the weather now cooler and the local flora at GZ more manageable we made our find. As others have mentioned the cache is damaged and badly broken. Unfortunately we didn't have one this size and shape to replace it. Thank you hondo222 for the puzzle and hide.

A very good puzzle cache which i have had worked for ages
So today after a couple DNF i had a bit of help with it
Now i can have a smiley face A good hide although does need maintenance
A favourite point from me
Signed log and replaced where found TFTC

It wasn’t a great time to be searching - late afternoon, a little drizzle and wet grass. Our initial thoughts about where the cache might be hidden proved incorrect - but nothing see obvious at GZ. We had noted a recent DNF and were wondering if it was still here. Checked some previous logs which suggested a likely type of hide but still no luck. After about 30 minutes we noticed someone approaching. He asked if we were looking for the geocache and said he had found a few years ago. He introduced himself as Coxyboy64 and assisted us in the find. The container described in the hint was looking rather battered and it took an effort to retrieve a broken log container. The log itself was a little damp but it was able to be signed. CO notified of cache condition. Thanks to Hondo222 for the cache and Coxyboy64 for his assistance.

On a jaunt to Bendigo, with Muggle Hubby as our erstwhile chauffeur, dalerious and the shapely catnap777, who managed to put the pieces in the right spot, this cache was located and signed to accrue more points for the Peak Challenge.
Thankyou for placing the cache at this historical spot that Muggle Hubby and I enjoyed visiting

Found with catnap777 as the first of the day on our funday Sunday. Cool

Needing a weekend away, cat' and I decided to hit up Bendigo for a bunch of mystery caches that we had both enjoyed solving in quiet times together. [^]
This one we solved only the evening before after cutting out printouts whilst listening to the rain fall on the roof of our overnight accommodation. Smile Lucky our parents weren't there with us. Razz They would have been very angry to see us playing with scissors in bed. Wink

We loved the ingenious puzzle, and although GZ was excellent and obviously screaming for a cache placement nearby, my fav goes out in memory of those golden shapes I was playing with last night. Twisted

I see my partner dalerious was as cheeky as ever in his very informative, maybe too much (coded) information in his log. All that being said, it was indeed a ripper puzzle. Favourite given as I have plenty

Took some time to find. Very clever hide

Out for an afternoon's caching with LittleBoss2, and our walks included this cache.
Our thanks to hondo222 on a puzzle I needed a bit of help with.

Find No. 3239. Found with FUF009 at 2.12pm.

An Easter Saturday drive to Bendigo for a look around the shops and do some caching.
This one FUF009 told us he had been there a couple of times looking and today with three sets of eyes he was determined to find it.
With a couple of hints we had gathered from the page we all went looking and it seemed no time that we had the cache in hand and able to sign the log book.
Certainly is a hide with a difference.

Find # 9556

Found with Tyred n Cranky

An Easter Saturday in Bendigo for some shopping and caching.
I have had this one solved for some time and have been to GZ a couple of time but never came up with a find.
Armed with some info from previous logs and a couple of fresh sets of eyes at GZ. After a bit of a search we made the find..... omg i think I had stepped over this hide last time i was here

Certainly a fun and doable puzzle for me and given math is not my strong suit, that's a plus. BUT at GZ, grass past my shoulders made this a golden doozy! Searched for a ridiculous amount of time thinking the not very trusty phone could be out a tad...then I stood on something that made a different sound and bingo bango, a smile went on the dial. With relief I signed and skidaddled. TFTC and the fun way to explore Bendigo!

Mr Harrowang set to work on this shapely puzzle after work on Thursday and we soon had some numbers for GZ. The finished paperwork was still sitting on the dining table when a decision was made to travel to Bendigo today. It was quickly gathered up, along with snacks, masks, sanitiser and GPSRS in the hope that we could find it on our travels. And here we are SL at 2pm. A great hiding place and all is good with container and camouflage. Left: gold lion cub. And now we are off to visit Mrs Harrowang’s brother and wife, who are very occasional geocachers. #7129 TFTC hondo222 - and we do believe that sees us collect the last of the Ancient Wonders!

We printed puzzles and got the puzzles done in the evening. It was off to the site after remote learning and it took us a while to find it, but eventually we did. it was fun doing this Geocache. Thanks.

We live nearby and tried once before but had poor GPS plus it was summer and very long grass so we weren't too keen to go stomping around . Found today so now we can rest easy when looking out over the area from the veranda. Cache was a wet inside due to a lot of rain last weekend but ziplock bag inside kept the log dry. We notice cars pull up from time to time and people go searching.

A nice quick find, our last for the day.
School holidays yet again, Team Clarmensma (myself, GemmaSistema, boo09, neisha07 & the Sistema boys) jumped in the Prado for some adventures in Bendigo.
An event to start us off, we caches the day away until event #2 and dinner time then decided to keep going by torchlight, not getting home until midnight.
An enjoyable day spend with good company. TFTC

Found in the dark - tricky but spot on coords helped.

With the school holidays upon us becca85 and I teamed up with our posse of geokids (AdamSistema, LukeSistema, neisha07 & boo09) to form TeamClarmensma (which we signed the logbook as). We could only manage a day trip so decided to meet in Bendigo and cache up a storm. We started in town before heading out of town towards Whipstick then coming back in. A great day was had with only a few DNFs and some amazing clever containers. Thanks to all the cache owners for their efforts - we really appreciate it.

This puzzle had been haunting me for a little while now. My major issue was that I had never printed it off! Makes it had to do the puzzle. So yesterday I printed it off and decided to give it a lash. Fairly soon I had the makings of a solution, always a good thing in these circumstances.

It was off to Bendigo in the early morning to get this and a number of other caches around the area. Before hitting the Golden Shapes I hit the Golden Arches.....I am only human.

Good coordinates had me at GZ rather quickly and soon had the cache in hand. With the logbook signed and unlove claimed I was off again.....to get some more unloved caches.

We are pleased to report this favourite cache of ours container is still safely within its niche although sheltered now by dry grass cover which comes and goes seasonally!
There is still stumpy evidence of the shrubby overcover that used to shelter this GZ before the council clean up team tidied the area up.

Solving the puzzle was easy compared with finding the cache. Took two visits to this place to find the cache. I concentrated on where my GPS took me but had to widen my search. Feeling despondent at not finding it a second time, I strolled slowly back to the car when I had that ah ha moment! TFTC!

This was our second day caching in the area on our extended weekend. Razz Today it was a smaller group, only The_Tritonz and myself. We still had puzzles to collect, as well as some other caches with unique D/T combos. Another very rewarding day was had. The weather was on our side as well, even though it did get very cool around tea time. Some great hides were are reward for solving some very tough puzzles. Can't wait to return here. Up in Bendigo for a 2 day assault in the company of DAB grabbing some good DT caches and pre solved puzzles. We love caching up here admiring your bushland and architecture and with so many in the area we will certainly be back many more times.
This was our second search for this tricky one. On our last visit to Bendigo with the assistance of ST37E we searched for a good half hour without any joy. So today with with some more eyes we tried again and bingo we found it .....didnt we look there last time?....probably not!
Thanks hondo222 for the puzzle and the sneaky hide.

I solved this puzzle a few weeks ago, but I was unsure whether the "sixes" on the shapes were "nines" or the other way round, hence I was left with 3 possible sets of coordinates for GZ. Scanning through the 120+ previous logs nobody has mentioned this dilemma so maybe I just missed something obvious. Anyway, after a DNF in the first option for GZ (which I now know *wasn't* GZ), I sent an email to Romax who confirmed that there was one six and one nine on the shapes. Returning today with the correct GZ entered into my GPS I had no trouble finding the cache. I loved the container/camo! I can confirm that all is in good order at GZ with everything dry and in good condition despite all the rain we've had this winter. Thanks for the puzzle and thanks for the cache!

Didn't find today - but did come up with something else. Found the logbook from the previous cache recently replaced! Moved away from the obvious distraction, but were warned by a local muggle (who likely sees us all come and go) that there had been an unprecedented number of brown snakes in the area where we were looking. We decided to wait for cooler weather.

First off thanks to The Drovers for rescuing this cache.
The area around GZ has changed significantly in the past few months with much of the containers niche overhead cover decimated by councils "clean up"!
However the container is back within its original camo and located within 1m of where we found it back in January 2007, so PAF should still function in conjunction with this note.

Camped in Bendigo for a week, to pick up a few caches in the area.
This puzzle was solved some time ago, which took some time, but was fun to do.
Arrived at GZ, and found an empty painted container.
Added a log and magnet, and replaced where we thought. CO should check.
Many thanks for placing this cache, hondo222, for us and others to find.

12-Oct-14
Knowing I was coming to Bendigo from Sydney over the weekend to visit my partner's step family I took the opportunity to start looking at some of the Bendigo puzzles in advance. Some I could work out, some I couldn't. This was one of the ones I did solve so took the opportunity today to go out and grab them along with a few other opportunistic ones along the way.

Made my way to GZ and as I suspect others have looked in the wrong place for a long time (watch out for broken glass around and in it). A check of past logs gave me a bit of a heads up that perhaps I was looking for something else, so I did some more checking and found another object which I discarded at first before a second check revealed something and finally cache was in hand. With all the tooing and froing back to the car I realised I had left my pen there and the one in the cache no longer works so it was yet another trip back, I think I must have generated my own cache trail in the grass today! Thanks hondo222.

DoorMatt had completed the puzzle and had previously searched in this location a few times with no luck. This afternoon we were caching in the nearby area so decided to attempt it yet again. After searching around for far too long in all the wrong places, DM spotted something that looked slightly odd. Of course, it was the container! We were both kicking ourselves! Interesting historical area. TFTC

I have had this one solved for quite a while and it was a fun puzzle to do. I managed to get time today to get out and to have a look at GZ for the cache. Trying to find the cache had me scratching my head at first. Using the hint had me looking at a big, round object away from the indicated coords. Not finding anything there I refocused on the coords and after some more searching found the sneaky little cache.

Thanks for a fun puzzle and cache hondo222. Smile

As part of our preparation for trip to Victoria, we attempted a number of puzzles. This was one of them. As former teachers of science and mathematics, we were very familiar with the Golden Ratio but never ceased to be amazed at the occurrences of the ration in natural and man-made objects. We found the puzzle enjoyable.

Today we went looking for the cache in the dark - trying to find as many caches as we could before we left. The hardest part was finding access. Our road GPS wanted to take us on a non-existent street. It took a few minutes to find an alternative approach. Once this problem had been overcome, accurate coordinates led to a quick find although we had to encourage a few kangaroo to wander away from GZ. The cache and it's container were in good condition. This has to be one of our favourite caches and our introduction to puzzle caches here in Bendigo.
It is 6 years since we made our first visit and we returned today to pay tribute again and place a new container, log book and pen in the cunning hiding niche.
All is as good as new again.
A unique puzzle that we hope will remain available to provide enjoyment for many future solvers and searchers and our opportunity to now add a very deserving favourite point.

We left Geelong at 06.30 to head up to Bendigo stopping at Ballan for breakfast. The aim for today was to grab any mysteries that had been solved and to grab any Traditionals if they were on our list and on our route on the way to the Flash Mob in the Bendigo Mall.

Also late last night Phetlern phoned me while I was out for dinner would we be interested to have a look at ‘Above and beyond “series which includes a 5x5 cache.

Burning the midnight oil all were printed just in case we decided to go down this path.

At the FME we organised an attack group that included Romax, suscoe ,maccamob, phetlern, The Empire, pocketrocket & friends and harry_stamper and of course the ageing Bushfire.

This illustrious group between them have a total number of finds close to 34,000 caches. What hope did this series have of defeating us. Well I can tell all future seekers of this series that if you attempt this series you had better come prepared or you WILL FAIL.

My mate suscoe has just had a birthday and was the happy little cacher to receive a fold up bike and a fold up aluminium ladder which extends up to four metres. If you need details contact them.

This cache was worked out after getting the puzzle to make sense and was solved a long time ago and missed out on being looked for on our last trip but today we now have a smiley so a big thank you to hondo222 for another great little puzzle.

Suscoe was out and about today for a country jaunt to the bendigo area for some caching fun and attendance at the Flash Mob in Bendigo. We had Bushfire keeping us company and working with us to deal with a number of mysteries and traditionals along the way. It was a great day out, most enjoyable but at times a little hot for our liking.
This was find number twenty-two of what turned out to be 25 finds along the way, most expected but a couple which were a bit of a surprise but loads of fun.
Parked on the wrong side but made it there with a little grass seed attachement yet again.
Bushfire located the cache which needs a bit of attention as the lid is MIA.
Interesting area.
Thanks to hondo222 for this cache.

Liked the puzzle and took a while to find the cache. A clever hide. Thanks

Found at 7.10pm. I printed the shapes and did the jigsaw whilst I had idle time at my work desk today. I also read the previous logs.

I trusted the co-ordinates worked out and I trusted my gps. The hide was quite good and is standing up to the tests of time.

I made the log, and left all as I found it. TFTC. (glad to have this one finally found).

Started solving puzzle caches quite some time ago and this weekend was put aside for the searches.
Enjoyed the puzzle and hoped I was correct with my manipulations.
Arriving at GZ we both thought yep it's over there. No!
We had gaiters on from the happy series so wasn't worried by the long grass. Spotted the likely container but could hear rustling.
Tag-along stood guard while I extracted the container. While signing the log we discussed just what it was we had found.
Loved the whole experience.
Thanks hondo222

We're up here for our Anniversary weekend away - yey!! Smile It was GMelb's turn to choose the location (we alternate so it's a surprise for the other half!) He chose Bendigo coz there is so many caches to find and we havent been up here since we got "into caching" Lucky we both like caching!! lol
GMelb enjoyed solving this puzzle and we thought it would be a nice quick find so we'd then be off for lunch.....ha! It took quite a search and reading back of logs to finally make the find!

We had solved this cache about 3 years ago and decided today we would actually look for it!
After trusting our GPSr we found the clever cache in a couple of mins getting prickles in out hands in the process.
Really cool objects here.
Also left a Mystery Geocoin here.

This was our last morning caching in Bendigo before making our way back to Adelaide via Horsham and Francis caching along the way. Wasnt a bad total with 45 finds for the day. Could have been more but had some trouble early with DNF's on micros.

Our last find in Bendigo - good camo. TFTC. Big Grin

had a pointer but got through to the end

Had lots of fun solving the puzzle and thought myself very clever by scanning the picture from my iPad rather than having to log onto the computer to print! Had a little trouble finding the right way to access the GZ but got there in the end and the cache was spotted! TFTC!!

5526. [green]I solved a heap of puzzle caches before heading down for the long weekend but not sure how many I actually got to do. This one I did manage and quickly dismissed the small decoy as the co-ords were shocking there. Once at the real GZ trhe cache was quickly in hand. Nicely done hide.[/green]

No problems sorting out the golden shapes… unfortunately at GZ we got fixated by the big round rusty one and didn’t find the cache. We still enjoyed our visit nevertheless.

Nothing like a golden ratio - my caching partner has a similar themed hide back in crow eater land. We knew how this worked so it was easy peasy. Not so much at GZ but we found it in the end Big Grin

Tricky cache. We found it in the end but I was distracted by the nearby big round thing. Nice big round thing.

Our 5320th overall find.

Found with FarmerFrentzen, steeba and The Rats on our Victoria Invasion trip. Drove right to the obvious spot but had to have a rethink to make the find.

Thanks to hondo222 for the cache.

Found with Big Matt and Shell, steeba and The Rats during a quick 4 day bash down to Victoria.

We worked on this one in preparation of our trip and once at GZ it didn't take too long to reveal the hide.

TNLN and thanks hondo222 for the cache.

Out for a caching road trip through parts of Victoria with FarmerFrenzten, Steeba and Big Matt & Shell. This was one of the many caches we found.

We'd solved this one before leaving home but once at GZ we were drawn to another spot until closer inspection revealed the hide.
Thanks

Found with Big Matt and Shell, Farmer Frentzen and The Rats on our 'victrip2011'.

The puzzle for this one didn't need too much research prior to our trip southwards.

The final hide was a great spot with some old relics and the cache was also well done. TFTC!

Interesting write up about the golden shapes. Had fun with the puzzle. Liked the cache container.

The puzzle worked out nicely and was a bit of fun to get through, you tend to remember puzzles that involve handling the elements with your hands Smile There was a lot of spots to check around ground zero, I narrowed it down by checking previous logs and only spent a minute looking before finding the cache.

Well the GeoKid was very excited when I gave him some scissors and the printed out picture of the shapes and he very carefully helped cut them out, however it was up to Mrs H to piece them together - a good team effort with Big Ez coming up with the crafty hide!
We read the previous log of them getting a fright from something in the 'big hole' - we may have found it - a dead rat not too far from GZ - it gave Mrs H a fright & it was dead! Wink
Many thanks Hondo for a good puzzle - really enjoyed looking around GZ.

#1171 @ 6.10pm. Despite solving most of the mystery puzzles in the area, we haven't had much of an opportunity to find them on our way around town. Really enjoy these types of puzzles - they are my favourites. Once at GZ had a browse around the items of interest before locating the well concealed cache. TNLNSL TFTC hondo222 [^] - enjoyed all aspects of this puzzle

Mrs TiedyeSmileys, being a very shapely person Smile, had no troubles putting this together and the cache was soon in hand (although it was almost discarded when found). Mr TiedyeSmileys put his head into the big hole nearby and some animal inside fled away noisily, not too sure who had the bigger fright.

This was an interesting puzzle, took us back to the day of cut and paste, lol. As we entered the Gz the cache was the first thing that was picked up however we dismissed it and put it back. After about another 5 minutes of looking under, in, over and around we went back over to the first thing and wattya know...there it was. Thanks for the puzzle and cache. SL TNLN
