These back roads are far more appealing to me. Cache had alot of water in it so I've placed it upside down with the lid open a little to dry it out over summer.
Found with LB and Jolly0 caching our way to Burra.A beautiful day to be out with friends TFTC
Were going on a country road trip today LB, earthlight and myself are heading to Burra, the very long way, for an event later on tonight. On our way we have a scattering of caches we are planning to find.I visited here a few years ago but had no luck finding the cache, today with the girls we had to cross back over the hills to get to Burra so we stopped here for a look and found the treasure.TFTC SA ParrotHeadKeep smiling
On the way to Burra with Jolly0 & earthlight. We stopped by here made the find on a glorious sunny day.TFTC SA Parrothead
Glorious Autumn weather had us boiling the billy in the beautiful Colin Thiele gardens in Eudunda for morning tea and cooking a delicious BBQ at Burra Gorge in the Worlds End Conservation Park for our lunch.During our travels we saw kangas, emus and several goats and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery in the Hallelujah Hills and along the ridge tops. Many thanks for the hide SA_ParrotHead
bunadoorian and I are on a road trip from Broken Hill towards Adelaide. We are stopping and picking up new LGA's for a challenge cache in SA. This was our 5th LGA today. bunadoorian found this cache first as my phone was starting to play up due to the heat. TFTC and for bringing us here- SA_ParrotHead. We have seen so many types of landscapes today.
I love the smell of gum leaves and there was plenty around here. Grub62 and I were on our way to the Adelaide mega and thought we would drop by for an extra cache. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC.
This was a quick find on the way to Burra with Chookster. The canola is looking amazing this season, and I found the contrast between the old tanks and the background quite picturesque. Of course we did the obligatory selfie against the canola while we were here. TFTC SA ParrotHead
A great little byway away from the main road on the way to Burra with naughtybunny. I quite enjoyed this one with the colourful fields and bushland nearby. The old water tanks were quite a nice feature. TNLN. Cheers.
Decided I needed a day’s geocaching so made the trip to Hanson through to Saddleworth before coming home via Auburn and Clare. All caches were in good condition unless mentioned. TFTC
Interesting spot.
Interesting spot.
Good replacement by the previous finder here, a quick find was had and the cache is brand new
Today after my own two events in the city I decided to head away for a night of camping, caching along the way mainly focusing on caches yet to be found around the Goyder LGA, by the days end I found myself camped up in Caroona Creek Comservation Park. A great day out enjoying the SA country side and found around 60 caches
Thanks for the cache

Cache has been replaced.
Be wary of creepy crawlers during summer as it’s in an area that doesn’t get many human visitors.
Thanks for the cache.

Came today with a previous finder. He said that this looks a lot different to when he found it. The tank is no longer upright (see photo) and even with a thorough search there is no sign of any cache. This one needs some CO attention.
No luck today. Is there a trick to this? Somebody has been cutting wood here….
Being such a beautiful place, hearing the birds singing and smelling wet earth, gives me more reasons to come back another day to change this to a smiling face.
Heading to Burra Burra, the long way, for the weekend, grabbing a few caches and spending some time with friends.
Keep smiling

A couple of days away with The White Dog Gang .
The bikes were bought along and we did the Rattler, the N E series and a few of the Reisling Trail. Plus any that were near the roads we travelled along.
Thanks to evryone who put out a cache that we found.

Today we headed out to explore the local region. Good day for a drive in the countryside.

It was that time of the week again. It was time for the Wednesday Wanderings of the Puzzled Puzzler group in search of those smilies. [^] Today I got to join S.A. Sewer Rats, Blackadders and sushilord for a wander up towards Burra in search of solved puzzles and anything else that we were passing. [^]
Love getting out on these back roads and taking in the scenery. [^] Not only does this tank have a cache it also serves as a rubbish point for unwanted old TV's. Luckily the cache was found without have to go through rubbish!
**Thanks SA_ParrotHead for this cache. **

The usual weekly Wednesday with some of the Puzzled Puzzlers. The plan was to clear out Burra and any others on the way. The Starfish, KORF and the Adder met at the Sewer Rats at 9am for this long day of seeking plastic containers in the outback.

A nice drive up to this cache with 900 Black & Ekans, it was a nice simple find and we were a bit dumbfounded that it hadn't been found for more than a year
We came here with a specific goal, that was to see if we could find this cache as it hadn't been found for more than 14 months, to our surprise it was an easy find and was in hand within 60 seconds of pulling up, I am pleased to say the cache is in good nick and the log is as dry as a bone even after the rain we have had in the area.
Out today with Sebastbat, making a dent in the cache map to our north.
Nice quick find as we emjoyed the scenery.
Thanks for this one SA_ParrotHead

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

A cool fine Spring day for a drive around east of Auburn with Tassie Trekkers.
Not many muggles around today, and mostly good quick finds.
Thanks for the cache SA_ParrotHead,

The Mid North is full of amazing colours today...green pastures, yellow canola fields & blue skies...
Spending the day caching with SnappyTomCats...
There was a really strong scent of canola at GZ with the plants in the paddock by the track...
We had fun down the dirt tracks around the area today...
Thanks for placing the cache here for our entertainment...

Out today with Hevwalker, we decided to head towards Burra. After lunch in town we started cachesploring...Exploring this beautiful town and caching at the same time. After clearing out the town we started caching our way home. This was a quick find on the way cosidering the cache was out in the open. Put back where it should be and covered with camo. I must admit to being a teeny bit disappointed when we arrived at GZ and there wasn't an Army Tank sitting there... TFTC
On my way back from Broken Hill visiting a friend for a few days, and decided to break up the last bit of the drive with a few caches
I have been meaning to get this cache done for so long... today I finally had the time to get it done
I have see heaps of these tanks scattered in this area
Thanks for the cache SA Parrot Head

Quick find with clare007 and Dr Owl on a wander around the back roads! Thanks SA_Parrothead for the hide!!
Owl found the cache while her companions were still trying to decipher the clues, justifying her place on the great northern cache hunt.
Out & about with CPWanderer & Dr Owl caching around the back blocks today.
Seems this one doesn't really need clue as the cache is fairly obvious.
Thanks for the hide SA_ParrotHead

it seems I cant pass a green dot with out converting it into a smilely, travelling to broken hill on the first leg of a holiday and about 38 finds day 1
Cache was easy to find with taurus1955 and BentleyTB. Very hot out and about today. Left a Bad Boys key ring and a friendship braid. TFTC
Thanks to our GPSr it was an easy find located after Black Springs. It seemed such a long way but I guess that is what happens when you are out in the middle of nowhere
It was so hot that we didn't disturb a baby bunny sitting in the shade under the tank
Found with misschief18 and Bentley TB

With red home from Goolwa for the weekend, ronso was keen to spend some time geocaching with her man :c) We decided on a night caching adventure and headed north, as there were two new caches still to be found… and we get them, woohoo!! This was a quick find at 0012 hrs as we began to make our way home. TFTC SA ParrotHead!!
Brodie and I wanted a drive and muggle partner decided he'd come with us, on the promise of a pub tea somewhere and being home early.
He got the pub tea (very nice, too) at Burra and we did get home before midnight, so I guess that was early (for me)
We saw rabbits, green paddocks, golden paddocks, a gorgeous sunset, fog sitting above our heads on the road and just generally had a lovely relaxing time out
Only 12 cache finds today but with 3 FTFs included, it was a good day
Loved driving in here
Saw a rabbit which would have been half a meal, it was so small!
Brodie enjoyed a good wander and muggle partner just had to get tanked after I got tracked
Muggle partner was looking for the cache in all the wrong places and of course, I said 'what..that one under your foot?'

Good easy find. Happy to have followed DanielnDili to their 50th find Thanks for the cache!
Found It!
Quick find to start the day. Nice little drive and a nice spot. If anyone was wondering what is in the tank, I looked inside and there is a TV in there...

First went to come to this one years ago, only to find the road impassable for my low slung geomibile with no 4WD traction to help, from the highway end.
Road was bone dry today, coming from the east.
Saw plenty of tanks and tracks today...
Cache is all dry, but shows signs of being wet previously. Still can't work out hw these containers allow water in in the first place!!
Nice to see an oldie still in place..
TNLNSL
Thanks

Found with Kat191. Another great little track, only bugbear is the flies. I replaced the container and left new swag but took the existing contents to clean them up as rusty water has discoloured everything. The log book is ok and fits but needs to be placed back on an angle. TFTC
A quick find but the cache had a lot of water and all the items in it were rusted.
The log book was Ok though. TFTC

Easy find. Enjoyable drive. Cache contained muddy water but left a note on dry note pad. TFTC
Nice find, dared to glance inside the tank and wished I hadn't. Those spiders were monsters!!!!! Tftc
Found on our way to Burra for a day's caching. Thanks for bringing us to this great spot. Took a snake and left a train key ring. TFTC SA_ParrotHead!

A great caching day around the countryside...easy find by Mr Bushies2, fun driving up the track which reminds us back home in Kununurra. Thanks SA ParrotHead.
We were wondering if we were going to require tank tracks to be able reach this cache but no such problems today and the geovan puttered along fine to it.

Found on a caching queen's birthday long weekend, the cache AND CONTENTS WAS VERY WET TODAY TFTC SL
I've had this image in my head for nearly 3 years that this cache was going to be about military tanks. The tracked type.
I finally read the description when this one popped up on the laptop this afternoon, and felt a teeny bit disappointed. But, as a redeeming factor, it is on a great little track. The type we love, and prefer, travelling along. Didn't take long to find the cache, once I got my bearings sorted, and factored out daylight savings. [:o)]
The container isn't keeping water out, but logbook is useable thanks to two zip lock bags.
Thanks SA_ParrotHead.

Should have been a quick drive by... unfortunately there was a large muddy puddle in the middle of the road so I parked before it and had to walk 700m to get to it. Dog enjoyed it and I'm making the most of all the green while it lasts... Summer is not far off. Easy find once we got there.
Thanks

All contents wet and smelly.lucky log is double bagged.returned to hide with extra roofing material.tftc sl.
enjoyed the drive to ground zero on a wet day out with auzzie convict! tftc sa parrothead!!
We had a great time traveling along these dirt roads with some impressive scenery along the way. This was our last cache for while before hitting the black top again. There was quite a bit of burning off happening in the fields around here and at one stage the visibility was reduced to only a few meters in the smoke, but fortunately only for a short while
Thanks SA_Parrothead for the cache
