'Group' find when looking for a newly published cache nearby. Took some effort but persistence paid off, eventually it was dragged out of it's hidey hole by Loci612. Contents within pretty much destroyed but the cache was recognised by the all knowing Tankengine. Any issues in logging this find please do not hesitate contacting me. Took the cache and contents, appropriately disposing of it in the bin. TFTC
Easy find 2 meters inside the beast photos of contends as the cache was destroyed
After finding a new cache nearby, members of our party remembered the cache that was here. We went to look for it and discovered it sitting approximately 2-3 metres down a hollow trunk......
It took about 5 mins of teamwork using torches and very long sticks to eventually drag it out of its depths.
Unfortunately it was completely destroyed, so we had to remove it from its location
Thanks for the cache aussieangel

Sorry, guys. This cache was archived about 3 years ago, and I intended to change it into a simple cache but never got around to it. I'm going overseas soon to live, so I'm now permanently archiving it. Glad you could find the remnants of it though. It's a good spot for someone else to use if they want. Cheers, aussieangel
I started this cache a while ago and had the answers to the first few sets of questions already. Not knowing that this had been archived until I completed the cache. The biggest challenge for this cache was getting the container. I reached down and finally grabbed it. On opening, everything was completely drenched (due to it close locality to the water way and the recent heavy rains) and covered in mud. I moved the container to a higher area which will not get flooded and intended to let the CO know. I then saw that it had been archived. Container is still in a higher location in the same structure.
Thanks

Sorry, one of the signs has been removed, so it's not possible to find waypoint 3. I'll be converting Hallowed Hollow into a simple cache rather than a multi. Cheers, aussieangel
Started this at lunchtime but ran out of time so dragged muggle husband along at the end of the day to finalize and help make the final find. I did not manage to pinpoint the final location perfectly, but a quick review of likely locations soon had the cache in hand! TFTC.
The clues were a bit ambiguous, which I had to recalculate a couple of times to be sure I wasn't going elsewhere in Canberra. Got there in the end. A really fun find. Tnln. Thanks!
What a lovely location for a multi - great excuse for a lunch time walk. Miscalculated at WP3 but was soon back on track. TFTC.
My first Muti ! Thought I'd duck out for a bit of lunchtime caching and had a grand old time. I found some of the clues tricky, particular those "V"s. Went off on a tangent with that for a while. But a happy ending. Cache is in good nick, but I'm not sure anyone has been here for a while.
Lovely walk through an easily overlooked part of Barton. Nice design, thanks.

Geomission Weekend with specimenX - Day 2
After a big mission last night, I decided to invite specimenX on another Geomission today but this time, we decided to hit some multis in the civic area.
We really enjoyed this one. The night was cool but not cold, the moon was large almost full, however there was a fair bit of smoke in the air from the fires in NSW. As we wandered around gathering information, I got a bit of a shock when a possum came out of no where making a racket and scared the buggery out of me lol. Anyways, we continued on and went for the final GZ.
Logging duties completed and off to the next one we go
Thanks for this nice cache aussieangel

Found with Rapidlywild as we were gallivanting around the southern suburbs again on another one of our geomissions
We really enjoyed this multi It was lovely strolling around on this pleasantly mild evening checking out all of the lovely little locations and collecting the required info for the coords. So then with the final GZ calculated, it was off for the search. RW got a bit of a fright when suddenly there was a noise in the bushes and up sprang a brushtail possom which then rocketed up a nearby tree! So then after her heart rate returned to normal levels, we continued on with our stroll to GZ where the find was made nice and quick [^]. Didn't seem to be any mozzies around when we were looking, thankfully!
Anyway, thanks for an enjoyable multi, aussieangel-fave from me

12:41:00 PM: (3 of 3) Find#4724
I was out here capturing a few Ingress portals and my second visit as I found some confusions as WP2 has TWO signs one which puts in the WRONG location, so some clarification required to get the correct sign or perhaps alter the questions so it doesn't matter which sign. so eventually after verifying my the two results I went to the "other" WP and that proved to be the best option.
found WP3 and then GZ quickly after that..
Note I did attempt this many years ago and for some reason I gave up then too.. well now all that is solve .. no Mozzies at GZ but two magpies at WP1 which might make getting data more difficult..
thanks

1708. A really enjoyable stroll around a place that I havent been before. I soon found myself at GZ, signing the log and swatting mozzies. Yep, everthing is in place as stated. TFTC.
Warm sunny lunchtime walk - thanks for the excuse to get out of the office.

Had forgotten to log this - took a few attempts (confused the numerals & hints initially, started from scratch and then ended up in the correct location)

Spiders!!!! Fun find. It's great being led to these little hidden parts of C-Bra.
Fun GC on my run home from work! Lots of mozzies though. Wish I'd had repellent at the office.
Challenging AND fun! (Needed to back track a couple of times .... mis-read instructions !)

After an early mark from work, it was right, which multi will we have a crack at? Well it ended up being the Hallowed Hollow which was a really happy walk around the area thinking how many people were still at work and we were caching, yeah! At one or two points throughout the walk we were reminded that instructions are there to be followed. There was a 800m or so extra to this meander due to a lack of attention to the instructions today!
Once back on track it was a matter of following to the letter and soon the cache was in hand. Thanks for the inspired tour today, really enjoyed it.

Lovely day today but coldest.... Great enjoyed trip around at curtin.... easy to find as hide very well, thanks
This one took ages and had a number of ambiguities in it which spoilt this one - and we had to backtrack a number of times. [be careful with 'v', 'V', 'a' and 'A' as it is not explained properly in the description] Once we had the correct information we found GZ and located the cache. We took the TB and signed the log. TFTC
Visited to drop off Campervan TB and pick up Red Racer TB. Camper TB wants to go to the USA.
Visited to drop off travel bug. Cache container was out of its usual location, on the ground. Replaced into proper location, left travel bug and took another. Cheers, TFTC, aussieangel
I didn't know about this place and so it was kind interesting. Like a pilgrim I guess. WP were no problem when I approached GZ the cache container was on the ground near the tree. An impressive hollow but surly inhabited (I'd say animals would fight to be the one allowed to live in there....) Anyhow wasn't sure where it originally was put and was not going to put it into this animals living room. So put it similar to hint less than 1m above ground in a tree branch and covered it well. Could work there just needs to be cover well each time. Thanks for the cache aussieangel and Captain Tomato.
Tried this one after finding the nearby Cultural PlatFore!m - we were going quite well until the third GZ didn't seem to make sense. Will check calc's and re-visit .
Decided to stay with our week long trend of finding the multi's close to work for a wind down after a days work. This one took us to somewhere we normally wouldn't go, nice meander around and a quick find at the GZ.

Cadda76 and I collected this one on our lunchtime walk today, as it is only meters from work I thought it was time. We had a nice pleasant walk collecting the WP's then a nice easy find at GZ. TFTC
Did this multi with jusojara during our lunch time walk. Thanks for highlighting a nice space around such a busy place.

Splendid place for reflection and a chance to explore the well kept area. The manager of the place busted me between WP 1 and 2, lovely lady, very helpful, and interested in Geocaching.
Found cache exposed on the ground, placed back in the obvious hidey hole.
Thanks for the cache.

I reckon more than two years ago I came and attempted this cache which ended without success. I saw that the listing had been updated a little so came back with more vigour today. The waypoints went pretty smoothly, I wasn't quite sure about V's but didn't get too tricky and the final waypoint before the cache is a little overgrown these days.
Today the cache was in hand quickly after a very short search. TFTC!

Thought I'd start this one given that I was close by today. Never really had a look here (except for another cache), although driven past plenty of times. Interesting area! Decided to finish it as the WPs were so close. Found cache OK in the first spot I looked, even saw a mozzie!. Grabbed TBs. Good to 'cross' this one off the list.
Thanks.
Thanks.
100th logged visit to this cache! Dropped off Jeep TB. Can't really count it as a find, as I was the one who originally set up the cache. Good to see it's still going strong. TFTC, Captain Tomato. Cheers, aussieangel.
Hooray look who finally got it. After two times walking around this site and then emailing the owner what I had. I went back today and found the final waypoint.
I still tho didnt know I had it right but decided lets go to want I thought gz was. Which I can now say I walked pasted three times in my search.
At this gz I started my search but didnt see it until reading the clue. Hooray I got it! TFTC Captain Tomato and the help

The calculations for WP2 and WP3 have been adjusted slightly to provide more accurate coords.
Found (eventually) with Hertzweb - the last waypoint eluded us but a bit of deduction came up with the last number and we had it after a bit of looking.

This was a tricky one, persistence is the key. Kudos go to ChrisG2 for the hard work.
This one's been bothering me for a while! I've had a couple of attempts, and both times was never feeling very confident. My first attempt put me by the lake, which needless to say was very wrong; a subsequent go was more successful, but I couldn't find an answer to the final waypoint. This afternoon, with a bit of guesswork, I came up with a plausable location and gave it a go, with success! Thanks for introducing me to an interesting little area that I'm sure most Canberrans overlook...
Found with our friends, Glenn and Darren. Finding out the answers was pretty easy, interesting and fun. The cache was very easy to find. The clue really helped. Cool hiding spot. Nice area. Very enjoyable puzzle. Took army man in exchange for a blue highlighter. Thanks.[:o)]
What a cool multi! Great walking area with much birdlife to watch while caching. . Got all clues OK except the last one which I couldn't find but was easy to deduce with guesswork. Cache is nice and dry and easy to get too. TNLN TFTC.
I started this wander way back in early October however having arrived at a few erroneous answers along the way I felt that I was on the wrong trail when the next set of coordinates had me zooming off towarsd the Kingston foreshore development. I decided that those that cache and run away should live to cache another day so wandered back to the office. After a consultation with CT as to my workings and whether any signs or signals had moved I was armed with slightly ammended information. It sat on the backburner until another lunch-break.
Today gave me just such an opportunity so I went off for a quick wander to clear my mind....yes - now with the correct calculations in place it turned out the waypoints were not located at the Kingston Foreshore at all (as suspected) and made much more sense. A lovely little spot that I didn't know existed - most pleasing. TFTC.

Wandering about with very dark clouds threatening and not a single umbrella to my name. Luckily I managed to do a few quick calcs and spot the hide very quickly so I could bolt before getting soaked. Left it fairly well covered with stuff to hide it just so you all know to look hard for it.
Found it with some difficulty. Never confident I was on the right track until the last but one WP. Cache was impossible to grab without the assistance of telescopic pole. However, nice amble around the foreshore and was rewarded in the end. Cache was replaced at (normal) arm's length. TFTC
Dropped by to grab the Skippy TB to assist with his journey. Cache in good condition.
well all the answers seemed right at the start. took a bit of aimless wandering to find the great space. wp1 was outa bit but kind worked. wp2 made no sence at all.
Nice find on a cool damp day. Worked around here for a year but never made it over for a look-see - nice location for a wander. Left TB Skippy! so that his journey to the West may occur on the wings of a Prayer Took TB "Bukit Mertajam, Malaysia" Unite for Diabetes Travel Bug. TFTC. (and apologies to the nice little old lady who was enjoying the walk - we probably looked like some mad stalkers wandering around VBG)
Did this one before midnight in the dark. My co-ords seemed to be wrong from the start. Managed to get all the way to GZ (so I thought) but no prize.
Found after an interesting walk around the suburb. Not entirely sure we got wpt 1 right. But we ended up at GZ anyway.
Swaped glitter glue for a spider! Shoaib was with me on this hunt.

Been working on this one for a while. Dodgy WP 2 coords were dealt with some assistance from the cache guardian but I was also guilty of being unable to count V's - not just me, I bought an accomplice who also failed the V test. But on we went, uncovered the cache in the soggy area - gosh it was cold at lunch-time , as we climbed out of the GZ, got some strange looks from a walker who appeared - that will teach him for walking in the icy conditions. Found an escaped cache in-mate - green seahorse - nearby, put him back inside.

Finally found this one after 3 tries. Thanks to Aussieangel for the help in confirming my correct and incorrect reading of the clues. Apparently I am totally incapable of counting the letter V

Started this one a while ago but was back in the area doing some Barton caches today, so I thought I would finish it.
Paid less attention than I should have with calculating WP2 and had to backtrack to correct myself, then I wasn't too sure about the numbers when calculating GZ, but finding the cache, I realise I had picked the correct thing.
No mozzies around today (and believe me, if they were there I would have been attacked - I am a mozzie magnet) however, there were a few spiders hanging around - and after I had walked through it, one less web......

Thanks for this one! It was a good little walk through a rainforest in the middle of the city that I never knew existed! It took me about a week or so to complete because I didn't have a GPS so was going off Google Maps. It still gave me several nice lunchtime walks and got me out of the office.
When I got to GZ I looked in the obvious spot but nothing there. Then out of the corner of my eye I noticed the cache lying on the group nearby. I did cache duties with noone around and then replaced it in the Hallowed Hollow. Signed log and made some swaps.
Took Sode Louise Coin
Left USS Munsing Navy Coin
Took bead Necklace
Left dice
Left christmas earring

Seems an urgent visit is required to retrieve this cache or replace it. Will be back on line very soon. CT
Sorry,
I was trying to get the cache out when it was covered with cob webs, used a stick to move it forward.
At this time the cache came forward and slid down to the base and into the darkness.
I was unable to retrieve the cache as it went out of sight.
Very very sorry.

Perfect place to drop off the happy chappy coin. My first multi cache, the end was unexpected and many crimson rosellas around to greet me. Picked up the birds of a fellow geocoin and left Ned Flanders to contemplate the area.

A perfect cache to do on a sunday not a soul around, or was there? GeoMum did all the maths and GeoKid2 ran off to GZ. We had met up with 'richlink' again - having caught up at the CITO event last weekend. Had a yarn and swapped some caching tales - hopefully we recommended some of the real fun Caches around the ACT for them to do (although they had already done a lot!).
4 heads being better than 2 we calculated coords, compared notes and off we went. We bounced a few ideas around when we had a few concerns (damn Vs...) but in the end we ended up with the Cache in our hands.
Thanks Guys - really enjoyed meeting up again - enjoy the rest of your trip ! We hope you leave the ACT with a great impression of the place and the people (at least the local Cachers anyway!!).

Cheers,
Had just finished collecting numbers at W/P 1 when we were sprung by Sol de lune and AusCan1965 who we had met the previous weekend at a local caching event. Ended up following each other to the successive W/P's and having to put our heads together to 'nut out' the problem with the v's. Didn't take too long after moving a few digits around on the GPS, to come up with the cache. Great to log another find, but even better to meet a couple of local cachers in the field.
A very peaceful place...until that possum jumped right over me as I stuck my hand in! We both (the possum and me) needed a breather before I was able to grab the cach! TFTH!
A very nice place except for the mozzies, almost ate us alive, the object seemed to be to keep moving so they won't settle on you - still got bitten. Nice little hide. Nice contents thank you. T - Car / L - opener
Many thanks, aussieangel, indeed a peaceful place.
You had us see it a couple of times however before the true peace of discovery descended upon us!
A very nice cache, although we found ourselves walking around in circles! only problem was the wpt2 co-ordinates, seemed a bit out, but we guessed the right sign and variables from the start so everything was ok. Found the cache, a little condensation inside but the log was dry.
