No wonder I could not find it to-day it has been archived between the time I solved it and time I went to it, damn should have done last week. Such is life.
Very sad to have to archive this one, although not at all sad to reduce by one the number of puzzles in the ACT!
This cache survived lengthy construction/refurbishment and was even painted over in place (crookedly!), but couldn't survive the opening of the government shopfront, which (I suspect) created much more foot traffic in the area.
Time to bid a fond farewell...
PS I got a chuckle reading the last find log, complete with muffles & juggles - no doubt auto correct at work again!

I have had this one solved for a while now but was never in the area to make the find. I am currently working in a nearby building and today for lunch I needed to get away from the computers so I decided to check my surroundings for a cache. I was pleasantly surprised to see this one was only 111m from my desk so off I went.
On arrival I identified the cache almost instantly however I had to battle a number of office working muffles in order to time my retrieval without being caught. Soon had cache in hand log signed and battled the juggles again to replace the cache.
Thanks for the puzzle and cache placement Fore! Back to the computer for me now

Out on a Sunday morning puzzle run. So many solved thought we should find them. TFTC!
Simple puzzle. Not sure of what it was like before you changed it. Great cache with a clever disguise. TFTC Tealby.
Found it all in good knick, but the pencil is blunt. Damn, unable to sign it. Will come back another time with pen.
After picking Pagan up from work, we decided today would be a good day to tackle this one due to low muggle traffic. Pulled up nearby and made our way over. Pagan spotted it from a distance and sure enough, it was the cache. Some disgusting muggles have added some comments to the logbook but cache is all ok otherwise. Thanks Tealby
Streak day #136 - since I was coming to Canberra today to play ice hockey I thought it would be a good place to grab a cache or two. There were several puzzle caches near the rink, so I solved them ahead of time ready for today. It didn't take me long to find the correct names, I quickly solved the puzzle and had my coordinates ready. I followed the map to the GZ. Thankfully there were very few muggles around today. I wanted back and forth for a few minutes before spotted the suspicious object. CIH I moved back towards my car sign the log. With 3 caches collected for the day I better head to the rink or I will be late. TFTC.
I needed to find a puzzle cache for a Pi Day souveneir. I had three close ones on my solved list and I thought I'd try for this one first as it was quite early and I hoped muggles wouldn't be a problem.
I'd looked on google maps of where it might be and started my search there, although there wasn't really anywhere to hide it that matched the description. Followed the GPS, and it put me where muggles were. Retraced my steps and despite me having had "reached coordinates" earlierr, the GPS then decided it liked it more where I was! Looked around a bit, read previously logs, was about to leave, then thought....I wonder.... and I was rewarded with a cache and log. This has got to get a fav from me! Thanks Tealby!

I don't know why I'd missed this ????? before. I thought they would all be to hard. Not always so.
Loved the hide. Almost did't need my torch in the dark of night.

Solved this one a while ago, with the new and easier formula. While it was easier, I actually didn't know all of those names. Had a look on the map soon afterwards and knew roughly where it was. So while I was walking with my friends to Woden after the swimming carnival nearby, I could see something that looked an awful lot like a cache hide. Sure enough - it was! Love these hides a lot. My friends kept commenting on how cool it looked - I may have even gotten one of them hooked. TFTC Tealby!

TFTC. **BEWARE large redback in cache! Not sure she was to happy when I stuffed log back in. Love these caches hidden in plain sight.
(408) Found just after sunrise on a lovely Saturday morning. I found the old version of the puzzle very hard so I was happy to see the updated version. The hide was almost too good for me. I think the main reason was that my GPSr put me about 6 or 7 metres to the west, which encouraged me to look in other places. Eventually I looked further afield and found it.
Now to celebrate 1000 finds I will indulge in a lame cross-language pun that probably won't mean anything to anyone else.

We had a nice liesurely look around Canberra and this was one of the caches we were able to find while we were out exploring. [^][^] Thanks to Tealby. We enjoyed the puzzle and the cache.
cache #400 for me! I wanted to do a puzzle cache for my 400th find, and this one was close by in between a drop off for goddaughter and a work dinner. While not a particularly challenging puzzle now, it was nice to pay homage to a few well known Canberra cachers, and to put a smiley against this cache which has been out of action for quite a few months now. 10 months in between finds is a long time, so thanks Tealby for not giving up on this one. I like the new camo - blends in very well I must admit. TFTC Tealby. BTW, I found one of your PTs in Galah Galah in Watson - thanks also!
Hooray, the cache is finally available again. Maintenance has been performed & a fresh log added. Interestingly, the cache was completely painted over by the workmen, so they obviously didn't realise the cache was there! It took a little effort to remove, but should be easy enough for others to find.
Unarchiving cache.

This one is near my work and I can confirm that although the building scaffolding is still in place, the cache is OK. It's still there and safe and the cache itself doesn't need repair or replacement (it's just that physical access is currently limited).
Thanks for the update Genghicat, i'll wait till the cache is accessible again to re-enable.
I think GZ needs to be checked - it looks like the cache may be behind the construction fence. Also, some of the clues need to be updated.
CO m ight want to check on this one. Seems GZ might be behind a fence now with some redevelopment happening along this road.
Nice day to walk in the cool of the shopping centre before doing the cache. Even though 'inspired collections' store is no longer there!!! internet helped here. TFTC Cunning cache too.

Yesterday I took a cool (It was hot outside) walk around Woden Plaza to find the answers to this. One of the shops is no longer there, but I found a photograph of it on the web which answered the question.
Today I found the cache. I laughed when I eventually recognised it. A favourite from me. TFTC.

Gumby Maca and I thought today would be perfect for catching this puzzle during a shopping expidition. TFTC.
We were in Woden doing some essential post-boxing day shopping (6 hours!), and took the chance to collect this little gem. Sure, the names and marketing campaigns had us wondering, but going with the best options for each (yes, count for all answers) we snared another puzzle - and on a muggle-free day Very clever hide Tealby - thanks for the fun!
After winterdragon's found log, I though I'd have a go, since I had answers to all but two questions (one being F, which isn't there), the other being B.
I did a bit of online work to get B and then went to GZ, where I tried a couple of almost right but not quite hides, before doing a lap of the building and finding what I was looking for.
My value for B was one out due to my not being specific enough with definitions.
Thanks for the cache, neat hide, nice idea - still worth a listing update, though.

Yes, I suspect that the listing could do with a little updating to keep up with the times. The "inspired collections" store opposite Big W seems to have gone, so I took a guess at F. Happily it only throws you out by a few thousandths of a minute . Also, C & D are definitely not already numbers, but apart from that, the answer fell out pretty easily. I walked up and down a couple of times at GZ trying to find the right easting, but then decided it must be behind that... oh, wait, that's the cache there! Blends in so naturally - nice one!
TNLN - Thanks Tealby & Biggles303!
TNLN - Thanks Tealby & Biggles303!
Hmmm, tough when the clues don't seem to match the mall layout. Have things changed and does the listing need updating?
#820 - 13:10; Picked up the clues for this a couple of months back when I was in the area for a meeting. Due to renovations the clues no longer fit, but a chance encounter with the CO at the recent Spring Time Trivia event resulted in the guidance required for a quick find today when I was back again. The iPhone took me for a short stroll along the garden path, but once it came to its geosenses I was soon at GZ and having seen similar camo, the cache was soon in hand along with a TB to boot. This one has to get a favourite point simply because of the number of juggles who must pass each day, along with its ability to survive recent building works too. TFTC Tealby
Found with EdenDanny - and what a surprise it was! I filled in most of the blanks from memory, and then did an express loop of the complex to confirm the remaining ones. Even then there were a couple of ambiguities, and I couldn't confirm a set of coordinates with the checker .
But we were in the area sweeping up the Phillip caches, so decided to have a look in one of the candidate spots, and hey presto, there was the cool container.
TNLN, TFTC.

1581. I managed to get the thumbs up from evince a while a go and was in the area for a recently published cache, so thought I would take a look. It was around 8:20pm, with not a soul around and the neat hide was spotted straight away. This is probably a good time to attempt this one. TFTC.
big thanks to shoobees for informing me i need a GPS to solve these puzzle caches. the hints were great and relevant, especially if you're familiar with the woden area.
Solved awhile ago while shopping in an old haunt. Today after playing softball we had to head this way to feed a client so we thought we would give it a go. Probably the best time when no one was around today, could be interesting at other times though.

A great puzzle and awesome hide.
Worked out the co-ords earlier in the week and back to GZ on a very quiet Saturday morning to sign the log.

Due to knowing woden pretty well, I didn't even have to go there.
Was a little confused when my co-ords didn't fit the checker.
We attampted to find this one on friday but had no luck.
I went back on monday and it clicked straight away.

Lovely day today but coldest.... Great enjoyed trip around at curtin..... Easy to clues good fun as really excellent hide very well, thanks
A cold, wet day in Canberra. Had some errands to run at Westfield Woden and decided to grab this one. Well, a few of the questions are definitely a bit confusing and left us wondering if we had the correct final coords (the coord verifier didn't seem to want to work on either of our iPhones which also didn't help). We were particularly thrown off by the C and D references. The pharmacy name is not a number already, nor is the bedding store near the Donut King, but we tried anyways. Walked to what we hoped was GZ and were pleasantly surprised to make a very quick find. Great camo and a gutsy hide. Really liked this one. Thanks, Tealby!
Decided to finally do this one. I already knew most of the answers, but I still went in to confirm a couple more. Then a short trip to GZ, where cache was found straight away. Thanks Tealby, a nice puzzle!
Found it on a cold Friday afternoon with XxBubblezxX. A brilliant cache, hid cleverly as well!
Quick little trip through the shops made it fun. Cool hiding spot in your face TFTC
I had 4 failed goes at the Evince Captcha before getting it right. On a smartphone. Really enjoyed this puzzle; it did more to introduce me to Woden Plaza than any Westfield ad could.
Anyway, after parachuting onto the roof of the building involved, I had trouble locating the cache until I read the hint. At which point I abseiled down the side. That’ll teach me to read the hint first before contacting the Special Forces.

Off my Whooping Cough sick-bed cos my cabin fever demanded it. Went to the plaza to confirm my suspicions on shop movements. C & D confused me because they are not numbers as per the listing. Godfreys have also moved but I can remember where they were. Plugged in what I had to GPS but I didn't have the chance in the field to check Evince. Went for a stroll, nothing leapt out to me but now reading the other logs, I suspect I was looking at it. Got home and Evince said I was right. Return trip to be scheduled, hmmm, maybe on the weekend !
OK so I may have had a couple of pointers from others on this one, and after reverse engineering the puzzle feel happy to claim the find.
Nice camo in what would no doubt be a bust spot during the day.

Had been looking at doing this for a while, but even though I work locally, never got around to doing it until today.
Got to the area and as soon as I saw it had a very strong suspicion it was what I was looking for. It was. Great hide. Loved the camo. Thanks for a very nice cache.

Found on an afternoon caching run, picked up GC for a trip to Queensland. Maybe it go further on its journey from here.
A late afternoon stroll around the centre just as the shops were closing. Managed to successfully complete the blanks and geowife was alert enough to quickly spot the cache. TFTC
Well I had intended to leave this GeoCoin in the first cache I planned to hide. However it's taking a while to find a suitable location far enough away from others. So called past here today and dropped it off in a cache near my work. I liked the "urban" camo on this cache.
Huzzah!
Considering i used to work in the plaza (Hey, i can see my old work IS part of one of the questions!) i knew all of the answers apart from one off the top of my head.
Sad really..
After the coord checker decided to have a hissy, i really couldnt wait any longer, and just did it via google maps.
No, that left me ontop of a building.
No, THAT left me ...on top of the recycling bin outside MY WORK?!? (Pretty sure it's not there. Just saying.)
After a "I think i'm doing something wrong! Help!" email, it was solved. Lets not trust google maps again.
Realized GZ was..not that far away from my work! (No, it's not the recycling bin!)
So, i set off on a stroll, on ..monday?, and got confused. Not to mention, too many muggles were around (hey, i'm not the only one who was on a lunch break?!?)
Decided today, that yeah, i was going to have another shot at it.
After much confusion, of no..cant be there, there, or..wait, did that just...OH! I like these kind of hides! sneaky sneaky!
But alas. I forgot my pen. I wasnt in the mood to dash up to the office, and confuse the receptionist by grabbing a pen and running away again, so i rummaged through my bag, to see if there was anything pen-like in there.
..oh no!
Left a "I <3 chocolate" sticker in there, instead. (Hmm, bonus points if you can guess what cache i was going to try and find this afternoon, but never got around to?)

Got the kids to work out the missing bits while doing Christmas shopping in December - great distraction. Headed over to final coords, but no luck and didn't want to do too much searching. Back at the shops today and we decided to have another go. Still nothing - and then - found it, yay. Had to sit around a bit before replacing as the timing of passers by was just perfect . TFTC
Been about 4 months since i worked this out with a little help from Tealby to sort the vauge question (now fixed), arrived at GZ and spotted the cache after a short search only to find no log inside???? Have replaced log with a sheet from log book and plastic bag. TFTC
Reperio at 1015. Down south today, and after a great morning of caching, it was time to grab a bite to eat...oh and another cache! Was only here last week for a spot of shopping and a movie, but didn't remember to do the leg work. At least today I roughly knew where things were and so didn't have to go hunting to much. Once the numbers were complete, it was off to GZ where the very crafty container was found.
Gratias Tealby on a very enjoyable cache.

Dropped by it today to rescue the GC I left in it two months ago.
It wasn't there, and the log is saturated. Unfortunately I had nothing to replace it with.

After being well and truly put in my place by a couple of local Bridge Banters, and mocked by some feral felines to boot, my caching confidence was somewhat lacking. What better way to cure all that with completing my first puzzle find! This one had me looking even more of a shady character around cars and buildings. Numerous times I had to resort to pretending to use my GPS as a phone, but eventually came good. Very clever hide! T4TC
One of my older unfound caches, I picked up the clues last week while shopping for Fathers Day presents. I was out and about early today to do a couple of caches and this was top of the list. I spotted the cache straight away, and being early didnt have any muggle trouble to worry about while I grabbed the cache and signed the log.
Very nicely hidden, thanks Biggles & Tealby

Quick stroll around the shops while Anna went dress shopping - I could have done most of this from memory, as this is our local shopping centre. Clever cache container, but very quickly spotted - I wouldn't like to do this before or after office hours.
Thanks for the cache - left GC tucked inside.
Not quite sure about the instruction: "two of the answers (C & D) are already numbers, so these don’t need to be converted", as the answers did't appear to be numbers.

Was a wet day and what do cachers do when its wet, cache inside! Had a few hours where I walked around finding the questions for this cache today. A nice way to cache during a wet day!
Cache description updated - the cache is in the same spot, so if you have some numbers from a previous visit it should still work for you. Log sheet replaced with a temporary measure until I get something a bit more suitable.
Thought I would have a look at this one today as the family wanted to go to the movies. But the situation has got worse. The Donut shop has closed down. Mrs O319 could remember the name, but there are two other shops that have changed there logos, so it is a real mess now!
Found this one no problems today - the takeaway is still there, or at least it has the same number of letters in it? Another good excuse to go for a walk and keep your eyes open as well. Cache still in good nick, and certainly a great urban cammo.
Thanks for my first ACT cache!
Thanks for my first ACT cache!
For what it's worth, the takeaway is not gone - it was merely being renovated, and is now back in normal operation.
Despite Mr Charles Menswear having changed their logo (and their staff insisted they had nothing with the old logo left) and the supposed change of the takeaway shop next to Calibre (we don't know the area so we can't attest to that) it was still possible for us to find GZ in the end. The cache was well disguised but not unobvious to the seasoned cacher. So if too North-siders could figure it out we reckon others can still do it too. That said, the clues definitely need to be updated so this cache remains relevant. TFTC.
As noted the takeaway is gone so this clue needs to be substituted. The log is also complete full and needs replacing.
Solved this one a few weeks ago before a movie. Found all the clues were intact except the takeaway. It is gone, but I was aware of its underground nature so was still able to solve. So tonight with very few people around I noticed a peculiar feature when approaching GZ and saw the cache straight away. I was walking a safe distance away to sign the log, but couldn't find it. Turns out in was on the ground back at GZ. I managed to find a small part of the log to sign. A very old one for a micro with signatures going right back to 2007.
For reference, the appliqué stall DOES have dogs on lead.

I noticed that this one was a little lopsided on my way to work, so when I passed by after hours I decided to hide it a little better. Also dropped a TB.
I found it, I guess if the signs have changed I still got it close enough! I did wander around GZ - muggles galore, especially one courier parked in the a van very closeby! Great camo, yes I over looked it and stuck my hands inside allsorts of nooks and crannies! Must remember to wash!
We did this one after the movies "where the wild things are" it was a great excuse to go to the shops as well, the kids were only talked into it by the donut shop clue!
Thanks!

Had the clues solved for this one a while back, and it seemed like a nice muggle free time to go grab it. Very brazen camo, I actually checked it first (obviously not well enough!) and then wandered around before coming back to look again - 2nd time around, I had the cache in hand. Doh....
Since I was in the vicinity, I checked the clue for the East coords for D. It's still there, and the westfield website may offer some more options... Although Mr Charles will be more of a problem as their sign has definately changed.

I think this one needs maintenance. I found the Applique stall but it looks like its changed its name to Hems Express.....and there were no dogs on a lead in sight.
Also Mr Charles Menswear has changed its sign but luckily there was a 'sale' sign with the old logo and I could still work out those coordinates.
Of course, I've been known to be COMPLETELY wrong in the past so apologies in advance if I'm wrong.

I filled in the blanks a couple of days ago at lunchtime, and the cache location became the last stop of a pleasant walk past a few other caches in the Woden area. The resolution of my GPS became increasingly vague as I approached GZ, and being Monday lunchtime, GZ was teeming with muggles. After skulking around the area for a while I gave up.
I browsed through some of the log entries last night, and it dawned on me that I'd probably been staring at the cache for some time when I first went looking.
Was driving nearby tonight, and decided to check out this idea - with no muggles around, it was easy to grab the cache, sign it sitting in the car and return it. TNLNSL.

This was one of the first puzzle caches I ever attempted. The puzzle seemed easy enough, and took me one building away from where I work, but I could never find the cache.
Today I re-checked my solution, headed to the same coordinates, and saw the cache as obvious as can be. I would have touched the cache in my earlier attempts, and walked by it at least 100 times on my lunch breaks.
TFTC.

In plain view for all to see, yet not that obvious to a muggle passing by.
Nice cache.
Nice cache.
Found with the help of steveski74. Loved the camo. Found another like this in Namadgi on the weekend. Very clever.
