Looks like the tide has been higher than the cache.
Container full of water, drained off as much as I could.
May need a look at before the rain sets in.

Barker-Greenfields Wetland Walk 4 was transferred from SA_ParrotHead to user McKee Clan
Spent today caching with Bettyboo3747, driving into the capital.
We had a bit of time to kill so we figured that a wetlands walk would be just the ticket.
We followed your advice and started at #4. A short walk and the cache was soon in hand.
Thanks, Robmc.

Found with Robmc on our trip from Pt Wakefield to Adelaide. This was the first one of the series we attempted. Sad to see the cache in such poor condition. The log book was very full and very wet and in urgent need of some maintenance. TFTC.
An easy find today right where the gps said it should be. As per previous logs, log book was damp. Location is very close to the water’s edge. Drained container, but it really needs some maintenance or relocation to higher ground. Not much bird life today, but did see a bunny on the way out. Thanks for bringing us to these wetlands. TFTC TNLN SL.
Found It!
Interesting little place I've never been to before...
Cache was half full of water and the logbook was saturated.

last o fmy finds in the wetland area today. The cache and log is damp. Did my best to dry it out. Needs further attention.
A nice find with MoorooducRobbos on her day trip to SA.
The wetlands weren't really pretty at this time of year: a bit dry and straggly but the potential is there for beauty with some more fresh water and wildlife
Couldn't finish the rest of the series as Mr MoorooducRobbos needed to be picked up so I have some to do on another day

Last but not least! Nice easy one to end the afternoon's trailblazing... Took Snake, Left Dinosaur. Thanks!
Glad these wonderful caches are now FOUND!
Thank you for these, great series on an otherwise overlooked wetlands area!
Once done finding these I realized I had ridden way too far out of reach from the train line and much farther than I had expected I would have gone! I had a headwind there and back and barely made it back to Croyden Train station in time to catch the right train to pick up the kids from school!
Totally exhausted now!

Would have been a breeze, except my connection to the ethereal world of info decided to crash. Had to go back to paper-bound caching, but fortunately I had a list of coordinates to draw upon. By the time I was there, I had the gen.

It was a lovely winter's day, so I took the kids (plus one of their friends) for a nice walk through the wetlands. This was the first cache we encountered and was also the quickest to find.
Out touring with the Scoobies and found easily. Frogs were croaking and it was a perfect day.TNLN TFTC

After dropping the Venturers off at Laser Skirmish, time to track down some of the northern caches.
Parking was a breeze and grabbed the cache, although I wasn't sure if I would be on the right side of the water. TFTC.

Our first 100% successful multiple cache trip - 5 out of 5. Found by Schnail and Co.
TN Left two items but I can't remember what they were...Within the 4 wetland caches we left a crocodile, a bouncy ball, an S.A. Water eraser, Tazzie Devil, a slinky, and a few other items I can't remember. What I do remember is an awesome walk, detours to avoid spiders, flights of ducks, centipedes, a million and one other bugs, flowing waters etc. TFTC

Went past the right spot to start from initially, turned back, this time remembering the directions in the cache description. A leisurely walk with nobody around but the noise from the Sunday afternoon traffic. TNLNSL TFTC
First of the series today, but when I pulled up and recognised a fellow cachers car the walk was made all the more plesant. What a great little series where the kids could get out and run off some school holiday excitement. Really enjoyed this TSLS TFTC
July School Holiday Fun - Day 1:
We set out on this beautiful, fresh Monday with high hopes for hitting 300 today - it didn't seem that unachievable. Ah, the best laid plans... Found 10 out of the 18 we visited. Well we are now another 10 caches closer the the next milestone - gotta be happy about that. I've wanted to do the Barker-Greenfields Wetland Walk series for some time... was worth the wait.
Thanks for the experience of the wetlands, SA_Parrothead
Cache was full of water, cleaned and dried it and replaced plastic bags.

After driving this road for years, we've finally stopped for a walk. Cache was damp so dried it out. Took nil, left a waterdrop keyring. TFTC
Had this one already found late last year so just dropped by today to end the walk with a quick swap.
Cheers SAParrothead for the nice walk and great family friendly series.
We have decidied we'll come back in winter to see the wetlands in full flight.

After a long period of hart working this was the first free Sunday…. And what else should a cacher do with such a day?
Go out and get some more treasures and the rest of the day just enjoy your self an so did I and went to the beach at Glenelg.
Great sunny day. TFTC

We were on a roll and didn't have time for the full walk, so just did this first one closest to where we parked. Thanks SA_ParrotHead.
Found in the company of Winglen and McPhan during a caching visit from the ACT. Enjoyed the short walk here, but got a funny look from the lone walker who wandered past at an inconvenient moment.
2408. I wish we had more time to wander the whole length of this strip. Unfortunately on a flying visit you can only really do short walks so this one fitted the bill. Just after replacing this one a muggle with an unusual antennae in his hand wandered by. He also had some other equipment with him. If he was a cahcer he missed the mark.

We found this cache as part of the Gangsters Team as we had our Invasion Weekend around Adelaide. This was an enjoyable walk from end to end. I'm assuming the water level doesn't rise much around here. The cache isn't too far from the water.
Thanks for the adventure.

The last one for the wetlands for us. Found this one floating in the water, so replaced it on land at original co-ordinates.
A little damp inside, but not waterlogged as was number two. The end of a lovely morning.
Had to fight of some pretty big mozzies here !

As I was walking past here on the way to the letterbox hybrid cache I thought I would stop by to try and find it. The cache was located in the open and very close to the water. I moved it back out of view and tried to wedge it between some branches to stop it moving again. I hope it lasts!
Thanks, I shall have to return to complete the rest of the walk at a later date.

Found by Sunshine Toledo at 10:25am. What a great walk for the 4 caches in this area on a beautifully warm Autumn day. TFTC
Dropeed the boys off here, and it was my job to drive around to the 1st in the series and do the pick up. Aaron was going to drive, but my ankle was sore, so I said I would drive around - Dont like caching like that - firmly believe all of the team should be at GZ on the signing.
Decided to go to a nearby chemist and get some supplies for my wife, and grab some stuff from the Grocer. Then Drove around to #1. The boys were not there. Waited for ages, then drove back around to the start, #4. Waited. Not a sign!
Waited some more, then after about 2 hours decided they had left me to it - so to speak!
Headed back to home base, grabbed my stuff, left there stuff, and drove back here, just to make sure I was not mistaken, Nope, not a soul about.
Decided I would walk the track to make sure they had not come to harm, though this would be unlikly.
Found the cache, noted all 3 of our names in the log book.
Moved on to the next, thanks for the interesting experience!!
