A day of epic geocaching that became my most number of caches in a day of 101. I was geocaching with gridge98 as we found half the Australian Prime Minister series, two OTD series for February and April, a small cluster of recently published Watervale caches that were FTFs, a selection of riding our bikes down the Rattler Trail, and finally driving finding caches back to home.
Making our way back to Adelaide, and so we thought we would try this multi-cache. However like the few people before us, we just couldn’t find the first waypoint. I would suggest to the CO to have a look at this one. Cool building and front here, thanks nevertheless.

Couldn't find the coordinates for WP2 even though we knew where the grasshopper was. Decided to explore around the platform and earned ourselves a lucky find. Sad to see the station in such disrepair. Caching without waypoints is tricky but good find by J. Tftc.
Bummer what a great spot. Looked for ages. If the CO gets this log in the next 24 hours and wants a replacement put down I'd be happy to help
Found at night time with Moneydork while we were in the area we thought we’d get this dot off the map. Log books and contents are all pretty soggy and starting to grow black mould. Could use a clean out/refresh.
Thanks for the cache postiegirl06. Found on 7 Dec 2017 at 9:35 pm. Find #5527.

A nice bit of history and the rather scary threat of being pilloried!
The search at GZ was watched from a distance by locals, but they didn't seem to mind.
Cache itself is pretty damp though, could do with some TLC.
Thanks for bringing us here.

The three of us were heading up to Clare, and stopped by here for a quick caching break.
A great final location. The contents and logbook were wet, but still signable.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache postiegirl.

It took us a while, with a neighbour keeping a nonchalant eye on us.

Tftc. I really enjoyed walking around these old ruins. Structure well hidden, only would have known it was there because of this cache. Great weather. GeoGrandad envisioned what it must have been like in its day. How busy it would have been.
Owl was out with SA Sewer Rats for another adventure. The owlmobile got muddy, the dynamic duo got lost on the back roads and a grand time was had by all. A quick stop at what used to be one of Owl's favourite coffee stops soon had the final coordinates in hand, but the hide was another matter. Owl can only blame a muggle riding up and down on a scooter for putting her off. (No, really!) Or it might have been the fantastic old buildings. All she knows is that the cache was found in the last possible sneaky spot by a rat who swears she had already looked there! Great location and the exact coordinates should have been a better clue for Owl.
Day off this weekend so I decide to head north to widen my search plus haven't been out this way for a while, start near Freeling working my way around Kapunda over to tarlee doing very well today only a few caches missing or in need of repair but nice day out.
Our last morning in Clare as we headed for Greenock with iluvtrekking picking up caches along our route. Found the required information and wandered off to gz. Found when we search on the other side of the feature. Thanks postiepirl06
This morning was our last in Clare from here we headed off to the Barossa Valley gathering a few caches along the way. Thanks for your cache postiegirl06, we can confirm that this cache is there.
Ironically I checked this on my way North to my daughter's netball final, there is no problem with the cache, therefore it is good to go again!
Attempted this one today but ended up giving up after being approached by the owner of the Grasshopper. Turns out this is a private residence now and the owner isn't too happy about people poking around in his front yard. Some more information in the description is probably required to prevent people wandering onto his property to look for the second coordinates and use the pillory for a photo opportunity. Perhaps even a relocation of WP1 is required.

Nice find today, what a beautiful old building..lets hope that it can be preserved and not just left to decay...TFTC
After Aussie Mary's Birthday bash a flash mob formed for a days caching. Mrs. M joined me for an unhealthy debate about football, whilst The Burtons, Locus Cache, Clare007, Ismatis, and RidetheGeoWalrus all set out in convoy. The Butons and RidetheGeoWalrus had other plans so only 2 cars journeyed for this one.
The platform is well overgrown now and few finds lately had the cache wearing a healthy inch of fallen camo leaves/needles but I was able to find it thanks to the clue and a gentle wink from a previous finder. Thanks postiegirl. (The inside was a bit wet so we dried everything out and the log was still okay in the plastic bag. )

A nice quick and easy multi with a lovely old building near the end point. Did get to see the old equipment and find a very wet cache and cache container. Brian made the find and locus and Mary dried the container and swag. The log was fine, so it is all good to go again. TFTC.
The day after Mary's party the convoy of guests departed after a FTF
The four car convoy had now halved after farewelling The Burtons and RideTheGeoWalrus.
As we were parked close to WP1, we continued the jouney to the platform.

After meeting the grasshopper we located the platform but it took us a few minutes to find the cache even with a past finder with us. Mr Tardis rang to talk about Ridley Grove so I ended up missing the precise moment when the cache was located and Brisal5, Mrs Aussie M and locuscache didn't waste any time. By the time I'd finished my call my name was in the log book and we were ready to move on.
We all liked the old railway building.

TFTC first up in a much lighter day than yesterday. So nice to find a cache on level ground!!
Found with HundredRoby on a road trip to the Clare Valley. Once at GZ it took us a while to find the cache, although it was obvious once found! The places that geocaching takes us, this was another absolute gem! Loved the old station, and we definitely wouldn't found it otherwise! TFTC
Out on the road with 3LG for an adventure north to the "It's a Small World" series, and then decided to keep going and see where we ended up.
After admiring our first WP, we set off in search of the quickest route to the platform. Personally I ended up fairly disoriented, so I can't comment on how effective our approach was other than to say that 3LG and I reached the destination on foot and after a quick find admired the old station that would have been very quaint in it's day. A shame that it is left to rot. TFTC postiegirl06!

After finishing off the Small world series with RideTheGeoWalrus we now head towards Balaklava and do the local caches there and now take the slightly longer way home getting the caches out this way, very interesting reading and quick find after we had the coords. TFTC
I was headed up to Port Augusta for a kayak event but somehow afterwards I forgot to stop driving.
1,700kms later and after 83 smileys including 1 FTF were locus cache'd, 1 event attended and sadly 7 DNFs and a dead roo, I arrived back home with both the camera and the phone full of pictures of this amazing country in which we live .
Finally, after a long ago DNF I can now say that I found this cache.
When my friend lived in Stockport some years ago, I used to bring the boys for rides on my motorbike to here to get the papers and for years this has been the first stop when heading out of town with the bike clubs.
Found the coords after using a PAF because I just wasn't looking hard enough... I felt quite conspicuous here with no one else around and the area fenced off.
Had a nice walk to GZ and found the cache while admiring the area.

Maybe it was just because we were getting tired but we couldn't find the co-ords at WP1 so gave this one a miss for today. Will have another look when we return to this area sometime.
Found It!
WP1 took me a while since there was a guy mowing the lawn nearby. Eventually he buggered off and GZ was revealed. Nice little spot for GZ to - a bit of Tarlee I've never seen!

From your listing it seems to me that WP1 is a physical waypoint so cannot be at this position. It can be a Question to Answer type of waypoint/start position at this position without problems however.
If WP1 is not a physical waypoint then enable the cache again but if it is something that you put there making it a physical waypoint then you will have to rethink it.

The co ordinaries that were originally located on a sign (original WP1) went missing so today I updated the co ordinaries which are now located on another sign 12.5 metres away. Nothing has changed for this multi cache apart from the location of the co ordinates that take you from the pillory to the platform. Thank you from postiegirl06
Thankyou and sorry for the delay, I will ensure this cache is back online in the next couple of weeks
To be replaced as a traditional cache

Offline pending replacement of WP1 when I pass through this weekend on my way to Clare, sorry for the delay
Stopped here today while on a motorcycle group ride. I got all excited at doing a quick multi as usually don't have time for even a traditional cache on short breaks.
I went back to the pillory, read the description further and then, laughing, walked back to where my bike was parked. However the laughter stopped as not even 5 pairs of eyes looking all around could find 3 Magpies, let alone GZ coordinates.
It would be lovely to have this cache functional again as it is perfect for families wanting to break the trip's boredom.
Looking forward to that time

Went to location, found 3 magpies and looked behind only to find residue marks of something that was most probably the co-ordinates but are now missing. I would say this cache should be checked ASAP.
I'm not sure if it just wasn't my day, but couldn't find GZ coordinates behind 3 magpies.Didn't go to platform after reading previous entry re private property. Had a good look at other buildings, it's ashame to see them falling into disrepair. Will call again some day.
Forest Farmers and I were here today and were approached by a local who indicated we were on private property. He was happy for us to "Look at the Crane" but said there had been a few unwanted visitors during the holidays. Thought you might want to check this out.
1st find for the day with Moses on the move.
A quick and clever multi.
Thanks.

Not quite sure why we have not logged this cache already. I found it back in October 2010 on our way home from October long Weekend trip, and sure enough our name is still in the log.

Much quieter here today, although the workers at the grain terminal next door were initially interested in what we were doing at an information board.
Soon had the coords, but I had a brief moment when I wondered if I had to convert from decimal degrees to decimal minutes. All worked out good and off we went to the final.
Even quieter at the cache location, but no need to search for the box as the cammo was apparent from the car. [^]
Thanks postITgirl10.

Too many tourists at the necessary spot for us to consider stopping here today. Next time.
Took me a little while to find because I wrote down the waypoints wrong at WP1 - mind you I did try to lock the geokid in the Pillory but for some reason he was not really that keen to stick his head in LOL, got to the platform and did a search and eventually came up trumps - TFTC TSLS
A lovely little multi that showcased another of those forgotten old station that SA seems to have in abundance.
Loved the final hiding spot and the way nature was reclaiming its own.
Thanks Matmob and PG.

Thought we’d make the most of the last day of school holidays! So, despite the rain, we looked up a few more caches. Great little multi, good hiding spot. TFTC
Would have been a grand old station in it's time, couple of locals were suspicious, but geokids quickly were playing the part and taking photos talking about their school project and they seemed to continue on their merry way. Soon geoson had cache in hand and we were on our way, took CD left small toy TFTC
Nice old railway station, shame they are falling into disrepair.Must bring tomatoes and padlock next time.
Did not realise how many old stations were still around before we started geocaching. What a great spot to take photos. If only we had brought our camera with us.

Got to GZ easily & worked on the glue. Geo-son got it first & pointed us in the right direction. Entered the next waypoint when oh no, GPS went flat. Glad I bought spares. The rechargables failed again, so next lot in. Up & running again but what, low battery power! We managed to get too GZ and locate the cache before we got shut down again. Forgot to grab a swap so TNLN. Back to the car & off to buy some new batteries from the local store. TFTC
Decided to cache our way up to A Day On The Green. We had identified 13 we were going to attempt, after seeing all the traffic heading north we limited it to six attempts, this was the sixth and last before making a beeline north. FOund the co-ords to GZ easily enough before taking a stroll down tot he platform. geoD went high, geoP went low and claimed the prize. Thanks for taking us to this bit of hiden history. The nearby shoppe looks interesting as well.

Been through Tarlee plenty of times but haven't seen these sights before. A good way to give the kids a history lesson. Left travel bug - thought it may get a ride to another town along the main road.
Our second for the day on our way to the Clare Valley. Having been a little confused over what was required and not wanting to stop for too long, we were about to give up when Kettle Twin 2 found the magpies. A short drive and search and the cache was soon in hand. Love these old buildings.
Thanks for bringing us here. This was another of those places we would usually drive straight past.
