Found what seemed to be the right spot. With a hook available for the cache to attach to. But there is no sign of any cache here.
Veni. Non Vidi. Non Vici. Non scripsi.
Have visited this several times over the past 4 months. Have just head back from the last finder who confirmed that I was in exactly the right place.
The cache is definitely gone. Message to the CO has been sent.
Disappointing. Would be nice to get the smiley for this one.

We believe we have the co-ords correct, we found a hook in a tree, we did not find a cache. We will keep a watch for this one in the hope we were in the correct place and that it will return.

Bonza! This puzzle has had me baffled for quite sometime now. For the last year I keep coming back to it hoping for some puzzle enlightenment. Today I finally solved the puzzle, I was overthinking the whole time. The cache was found quickly and is in great nick. Thanks for the puzzle and TFTC!
Twin 1 and twin 2(the x-trailers) found this tonight with 3LG after a birthday tea
After having a great tea with earthlight and the x-trailers we finished of the night by grabbing a few caches, this one i had a bit of help solving a while back and tonight we Spotted Spotty hiding in his cool kennel at GZ, very clever hide in a awesome hide spot. TFTC

This Tiger is lucky, no fear of contracting the spots. That was fixed when he was a cub.
After spotting a spotty solution amongst the spots I was able to find a spot to park and amble across the grass. The spotty cache was spotted in a spot above the normal spot. Glad I spotted it! TFTC Kettles.

Find #979 [^]
We found this to be a challenging cache, both solving the puzzle and finding the cache. We played around with the puzzle for sometime before the penny dropped and a set of plausible coordinates were ontained. Today we went to look for the cache. Our GPS was being somewhat erratic in this location and a much wider area was searched than really necessary. We actually visited the hide location once before returning and finding the excellent hide. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks The Kettles for a challenging puzzle and hide - it certainly earns a favourite from us.
Found It!
I solved this one a long, long time ago and I've since been watching and waiting for the cache to be replaced. Tonight I had a few minutes to spare before the nearby event so I wandered over and found the cache!

I solved this ages ago (all by myself for a change!). Then it went on the "one day" pile and has only just been rediscovered by me. Yay.
Impressive construction. The logbook should not get wet unless there is some serious rainfall.

A nice walk in the burbs looking for a regular sized cache.... Doctor Owl had her coords, we put them into Mary's GPS and off we went. Had a look, I noticed a good spot, sorry, and suggested that would be the place to hide it. Doctor Owl looked and said no, I suggested something and bingo, there it was...
Ok, now, I am blaming Doctor Owl for our inability to replace the cache as found. I directed her to the cache but she was the one who couldn't put it back. We puzzled over it and then decided to leave a help message for someone to come and fix it.... TFTC and the puzzle and the walk, and the kookaburras laughing at us.

Out on an unexpected expedition with Mrs Aussie M. Heading home after replacing a cache, Owl remembered that this one was back in action. This was the first puzzle she’d solved after learning the appropriate maths skills, so was keen to clear up the spot. A short walk with a spotty GPS got them to the right location and Mrs Aussie M suggested the correct hide. However, after signing the log they could not figure out where they had taken the cache from. They don’t know if the temporary attachment was too temporary, but 5 minutes of fiddling got them nowhere, so they have left the cache on the ground (covered up, of course). Terribly sorry, but someone smarter than them needs to redo the hide.
After talking to a previous finder had returned and spotted evidence of where the cache HAD been.
Finally returned with a replacement and hope to return soon to improve attachment.
Thanks for the puzzle The Kettles

DNF and had another look with others from the Old Spot event who had done it before they confirmed GZ but no cache.
Walking the trail after the old spot hotel event.
Four of us were still on the right side of the creek, so we continued to walk.
But when we arrived at the location, spotty was not to be found
Maybe it will be here next time.

Arrived at GZ with three sets of eyes and were immediately drawn to a suitable nearby location but no cache was found.
Checked out other possible locations but other than leaving several geo-trails nothing else was achieved.
Left and later talked to a previous finder to realise we were initially in the right spot but might have just missed seeing the cache.
Will return as soon as possible for a better look.

I solved the puzzle for this cache months ago but misplaced the answers. Solving again this time was a bit easier Thought it was time to come and do a sweep of these walking trails and this was number two. Coords had us a little way from GZ but it wasn't hard to pick the likely spot. Geowife refused to retrieve the cache due to the spider webs (wimp!) so I made the grab. Took nothing and left a snake toy. SL TFTC The Kettles!
Gotcha!
Chicken Pox! I know that disease. When our first son had chicken pox, my wife was 8 1/2 mths pregnant with our 2nd. This presented a problem, because I could not remember ever having it. If I came down, apart from making me quite sick, I would be barred from the hospital for the birth!
It all ended well. A phone call to my mother interstate confirmed that I had this pox when I was quite young. 2 weeks later, our 2nd gorgeous boy was born.
Didn't have anything spotty to swap, but log has been signed.
Thanks
I solved this puzzle days ago (after getting some much appreciated assistance on how to from Dazzatron, Margieh and Laighside Legends while at the JLWE) and yet each day something happened that meant that I did not get here to do the locus cache properly until today.
I brought a replacement container just in case, however a good wipe out meant that the original cache container was still usable and since its camo matches the cache theme it seemed a shame to change it. Swaps dried off and a new log added, so next finders hopefully will have a nicer experience than the last few.
Now, believe it or not, I did all of that and have just realised that I did not SL Doh!! I will have to get back there sometime and rectify that!

Found in the company of ParisLaura while on the hunt for her 1000th cache in the area. Dragged the cubs along for this and they liked a=the area but were very disappointed by the large cache that would have held a few anticipated swaps that were horribly soaked, ruined and moldy!!
I took out the ruined junk and emptied the water, I could only stamp the lid cos the sodden pulp for a log book was utterly unsignable!!
This needs some serious attention as the handle had broken and was not hanging where it was supposed to be!

Found this cache on a lovely evening walking Rat Dog. Cache is saturated, So I signed the underside of the lid. TFTC

What a great little puzzle! Very inventive and original.
A nice walk as well on a glorious evening from the wrong side of the 'track' to the final 'spot'.
However the cache itself really needs some maintenance as the log book is now fully soaked and also the 'mechanism to suspend the cache' is broken.

Since we were only just across the road celebrating 5000 for the Parrots, it was a great opportunity for the walk, and to grab a couple of caches.
This was the first on our hit list, and it was a nice easy stroll to GZ. Wibbles extracted the cache, we signed the log, and we were quickly on our way.

Realising we'd be close by today, we re-solved this puzzle (we'd solved it ages ago, then lost the answer!) and headed up the creek for a walk with some fellow cachers today. Spotted the neat hiding method immediately, and TNLNSL.

A nice big black spider was guarding this cache and had the geokids and me screaming LOL. Once we had the coordinates worked out we headed to the cache, a great walk after school with the kids and easy trails for the pram. TFTC and great puzzle.
Our first non traditional cache and most of the credit should go to skullracer1 who finally cracked the code for us. We were most of the way to the solution just couldn't make the final lateral jump to the answer.
Whilst searching GZ we scared the s*** out of a rabbit in the bush we were concentrating on. Geez it moved quick even making use of the nearby man made structure.

Looked at this one months ago but were a bit bamboozled at the time and so put it off for later and promptly forgot about it. While solving another puzzle, Mrs TiedyeSmileys had a sudden recollection of this one and a flash of inspiration and soon worked out where GZ was.
Was a bit comical at GZ as well; could just imagine it being a scene from The Amazing Race with the camera focussing on Mrs TiedyeSmileys searching GZ , sure it should be there, then panning to the cache, then back to Mrs TiedyeSmileys searching. Finally looked in the right area and the cache was in hand at last.

I solved this when it was first published, then again in May 2008. I came close to finding the cache early this year, but ran out of time, so am glad to have finally found it. Walking the last 10m through the grass I took a spill when I stepped into a large rabbit hole, much to Winterdragon's amusement. However, I had the last laugh as this is my 1900th cache find
Thanks for a nice puzzle (which I could read without having to look anything up), and a nice hide.

I like the story behind this one, puzzle and indeed all cache inspiration can come from the strangest places. I was a little snake shy getting to GZ and spent a little bit of time searching the obvious places. The sneaky hide was originally spotted (hehe, didn't mean that one!) and I chuckled to myself when I saw the container and contents.

Find 496 without a GPS at 12 noon
Removed another solved puzzle from the file.
Parked the car in a shady spot close to the trail I used to reach my calculated spot.
On the way I had a spot of good luck and found a nice spot to cross the running water in the creek. Maybe someone had a spot of bad luck further up stream and a weir gate or something failed.
Once on the right side of the creek I identified a number of spots that corresponded to the spots I had on my Google Earth Print out of the spot. A simple spot of triangulation navigation allowed me to identify a likely spot for the cache to be hidden. At first I couldn’t find the hiding spot but I thought I felt a spot of rain and looked up to see if it was spots of rain and in doing so spotted the well concealed hiding spot.
TNLNSL FOFV Thanks to The Kettles for interesting cache.
On the way back to the car I found a shady spot to sit down and eat my lunch close to the spot I crossed the creek. It was nice to hear the sound of a babbling steam at a relaxing spot.

I remember trying to find Foxbat's Revenge, and finding Between a Fox and a Bat last April (07), and running back to the car, thinking "I wonder if anyone else will be placing a cache along this creek", to find someone had, with it being published a couple of days after my visit
A great puzzle [^] that fitted in brilliantly into the picture.
Have been meaning to revisit the area for quite a while, and so at lunch decided to do the run up to Foxbat's Revenge again.
After finding a spot to park the geomobile at the right spot, found that this was a nice spot at the start of the trail, and thankfully I didn't catch anything.
Touch Wood, but hopefully our little Calumpher's won't get spotty, as they're had the shots.
Took nothing, but left a geocoin, to hopefully entice others to this beaut little spot. Can't believe it hasn't been visited in the last 8 months.

Touch Wood, but hopefully our little Calumpher's won't get spotty, as they're had the shots.
Took nothing, but left a geocoin, to hopefully entice others to this beaut little spot. Can't believe it hasn't been visited in the last 8 months.

I must admit I never solved the puzzle but after a nice walk and a little hint from Hurtle I finally had this cache in hand.
That's one less to cause headaches for me!

Did the puzzle a whole ago but thought id wiat till the virus had dissipated.Nice walk on a saturday morning. A few suspicious stares from passing muggles and dogs.As usual initially on the wrong side of the river. Soon found and several days later no rash! Chicken pox can be a nasty illness in adults.

Thanks for the puzzle, I'm still working on it!
I spotted some clues in the logs/notes.
Was nearby today and spotted the start point. Then I spotted a likely track, then I spotted a likely spot about 15mins later... and then I spotted the cache, and then I made my spot on the page.
