Hmph. They call it progress. I call it cache destruction. Oh well. Fare the well!

27-Jan-12
Uh oh - something's gone very wrong here.

Either I got the coordinates entirely wrong (which I checked when I got home - all seems ok) or the cache, sign and all are gone! There are roadworks nearby, and GZ put me in a freshly graded patch of dirt!

Could it be that this one is gone?

27-Jan-12
GZ led me into a patch of dirt in the middle of a road!
Think it may be gone with the sign.

08-Jan-12

30-Oct-11
We were about to go for walk for the caches in the nearby park but ducked across the road for this one. Thanks for the cache Fore!

30-Oct-11
Found at 3.05pm GAFF1 in the company of Blackie_71, Browngang, Chewinprickles, and Robmc.
There's a lot of road works going on and cars were banked up nearly all the way back to NSW!
Thanks Fore!

30-Oct-11
Quick find before a nice walk around the nearby bushland. Managed to torment a fellow cacher who thought we were muggles on our return.
Thanks again Fore

30-Oct-11
We parked just across from this cache before we walked into Milligans Flat for half a dozen caches. Couldn't resist just nipping of for a quick grab.
Everyone played at standing in Yass and ACT at the same time!
Thanks, Robmc.

24-Sep-11
First find for the day. Geez you would think the ACT government could tar the last couple 100m's of road to the border. Tight wads they are!

First for the day a good spot to park for the surrounding caches.

Completed with Faker_AU and The Heron.

10-Sep-11
First find for my ride through mulligans flats. Nice little cache. This was my second attempt. TFTC

02-Sep-11
Dirt roads and scooters don't generally mix but we always make an exception to chase down a cache. It would appear that the 60km speed limit doesn't apply if you drive a ute! We came across the hide with little trouble but extracting the log was something else. Luckily, Enzo keeps a multitool in the glovebox of his Vespa (thanks for that pressie Zita!) which was needed to prise out the log. After signing, Zita did a splendid job of tightly rolling the log which slipped back into the cache just nicely. TFTC Fore! Cool

Out doing maintenance with Fore! did kinda help. My first nano find! Tempted to continue out to Gundaroo for pizza but we had much to do. Nice spot, not so far from suburbia now...sigh.. I might see if I can help you hide some now, that would be fun.

One of 23 caches found with Doppelfrog on a loop of Mulligan's flat.

I had to retrieve this tiny cache as strike-a-light's fingers were a bit too big to fit into the tiny space it was hidden! Ditto for signing the log, squidgy writing is not his forte! Thanks for the stoppoff here, it's a nice quiet way to get into ACT

A morning bike ride with Newberys around the area to pick up a few caches in the area with this one being the thirteenth of the day. Well, I found this cache back in April this year under a different disguise and slightly different location so I have no qualms in logging this cache as another find. Cheers and thanks for the cache. 13 caches in 3 hours in a 12km circuit. Not a world record but most enjoyed with the company of Newberys.

23-Oct-10
Yay - after finding this one muggled (or cut down actually) last month, I got to log it today with Rbirtles. Another border crossing managed by Fore! and another one off the list, thanks Fore!

12-Sep-10
This one's a blast... after the Newberry's log a little while ago, I finally got out to check on this one with Shadow! We had just dropped Huxley home and came out to check on this cache, noting that the tree that used to house the cache had indeed been felled. So I quickly located a new spot and we were then in business. Looking around a little, though, we were pretty taken with the new works around the place for the Bicentennial trail. Being an equestrian trail fan for setting caches (understatement) I called Shadow! over for a closer look...

And then I said "What's that... r a b b i t... doing there .. it's a himilayan or something..." and Shadow! trumped me with "and there's a lop-eared!"...

Have you ever seen a couple of cachers, in a national park, trying to be rabbit wranglers??? Have you EVER tried to wrangle rabbits??? We chased them here, there... and bloody everywhere! We threw coats supposedly AT them, but really we threw them into the puddles that are omnipotent at the moment. We were diving (literally) at the rabbits.... hopping around after them.. herding... stalking... calling them to us... chasing them again... you get the picture. Eventually they took pity on us and gave us a chance to catch them. Once they had finished laughing, that is. We sequestered them in the back of the 4WD, after removing our freshly done grocery shopping just in case they were peckish, and wondered "What next!"

So that ends the funny side of it. We noted that some irresponsible person (and that's as nice as I can be) had indeed dumped the rabbits; their tray with some food just tossed over the fence... and the RSPCA has shut for the day, and the emergency vet won't take them off our hands... *sigh*... so we have them at home, crated up in a dog crate, where they are busy eating our shredded bank statements and making themselves at TEMPORARY home. Mickey, our resident cat is prepared to ignore them for a day or so, and Huxley is guarding them (or waiting for them to get out.. I am not sure which) but they can't stay here... Surely this is a true "lost and found"!!!

So here's my plea - Any takers???... photo attached...

Not a good start for the afternoon. Chain saw dust looks recent so may not be there. Will email Fore! To check we were looking in the right spot.

25-Jul-10
It was a very easy find. The clue really helped. When we got near GZ, a man was walking into the border of the ACT and lots of cars were coming down or up the road. Left marble, took nothing. Thanks.Wink

I do apologise for the generic log for this one but I cannot read my own notes pertaining to this find (not the best comment on my handwriting is it?) There is one word that looks something like "jiqzxling". Go figure.TFTH Smile

Cant go wrong with a bit of geocaching on Aus. day. Found easily while doing some work in this beautiful area. TFTC!

23-Jan-10
Well, given how fast cars were flying around here today, life and limb were potentially at risk. Still, with a lot of care, the road was crossed, cache located and log signed.

Grabbed GC and Visited GC "Fore!s Caches Only"

05-Jan-10
Found along with a very nearby cache. Had to dodgy lots a earthmoving vehicles. tftc!

29-Dec-09
Well, this big bronzed 300+ cacher screamed like a girlie when he plunged his hand into the hiding spot and was greeted by the unmistakable feel of spider webs and the pitter-patter of many legs - Ewwwwwwwwwww. Gosh, I do feel the last finder may have over enthusiastically stuck the cache as far into the hiding spot that enouraged our 8 legged friends to incorporate it into their interior fitout. I didn't shove it in as far but left some bark covering the doorway that I'm sure the spiders will consider non offensive. No 4 for (ha ha) the morning, 3 more to go.

28-Dec-09
Amazing how fast the cars go along that road. Had geogirl with me and she thought it was thunder TFTC

15-Aug-09
While most of us were running up and down the side of the road looking for the cache OlderSamWalkingBoy found it with a lot less movement.

09-Aug-09
I was surprised how busy this little area was. Frequent passing cars, lots of parked cars and a couple of muggles. Stealth was actually an issue, especially as there were 6 of us....
